I still don't like how Paradox launched the game and a lot of their DLC practices, but if they actually get persuaded to give it a Stardew Valley 1.6 style "this is basically a free expansion that I'm calling a patch" update to shock the game back to life I'll actually think higher of them which is a nice thing to happen with a modern video game company.
Paradox is not too bad. But yes the DLC practices are very cringe. I just didn't buy their games because of it. I would probably invest more and buy more their games if they didn't do it. So technically they'd make more money.😅
@@VineFynn Yeah but from what I've seen, vanilla Imperator was probably just one major expansion away from being really good. A No Step Back-tier update would really give the game a chance at a second life.

Hey Laith, you can click on a navy and "build to navy", which builds ships automatically and then sends them to wherever your navy is. You don't need to use the macro builder and then manually move ships to combine
fun fact: the Nuragic peoples were descended almost entirely from Neolithic European farmers and Western Hunter Gatherers, the peoples who inhabited Europe before the Indo-Europeans.
I just came back from Cagliari and I was lucky enough to learn a lot about the Nuragic people and their interactions with the Carthaginian’s. They’re a pretty neat people and the troves of artifacts left from them are amazing. When I saw them in the game I just had to start up a campaign even tho I’m completely new.
Please keep playing this game I know it wasn’t “ good “ at launch but it has its moments and it’s a really fun game. I’ve been waiting for a long time to see a big content creator to play it and enjoy it!! Please please please more imperator Rome !
It's my second most played paradox game, behind only eu4. But eu4 is kind of inflated since I'd play it until I'd fall asleep sometimes on my old laptop.
You can just play rome and turn into a monarchy and play that way if you want. Apart from that the game wouldnt be much fun if it were the imperial era because 1/3rd the map would already be rome or dependencies
Rad. Have been playing the game for the last few hours. Still struggling to learn, but the last time I played was release lol. I've been ready to jump back in seeing your posts
I was initially very skeptical about trying to get this game revived, but after seeing that they're actually listening I think I'll actually go buy the game now. Great job Laith, and others who stuck with this game
Funny how Laith always finds a way in paradox games to make an economy out of slave raiding. The Nuragians this time are interesting as they are not quite known to people and as such their culture and religion. Loving that the facecam wanted to troll you this time, I consider him a worthy lad member o7. Stream will probably be fire as always.
I reinstalled and booted up the game for 5 mins, but I am a bit busy with playing manor lords right now. I wouldn't mind getting a guide or two on how to play imperator rome in its current state.
If possible, I'd really appreciate a video that details the biggest changes between release and now. I was pretty disappointed with the game when it came out, and that experience is still lingering when I contemplate a return to the game. So if you think theres an audience for it, a video detailing the big changes that made you come back would be really interesting!
listen im going to be playing Manor Lords tomorrow but i can for sure play Imperator tonight oh and thank you for getting me into this game been enjoying it a lot
I downloaded the update but I don't see any of these coastal Nuragic tribes. Carthage owns the entire coast of Sardinia. I tried switching on the Invictus mod, but I don't see it there either. Am I missing something?
Hi Michael, this nuragic stuff is from Invictus mod, i personally worked behind it, are you sure you're playing the latest Invictus Update and it's correctly installed?
@@lucaloddo825 hey, sorry, I got it sorted out; turns out it was broken by the update somehow, so I just deleted all of my mod folders and reinstalled it and it works great. However, one note: the final mission in the Nuragic tree is impossible to complete if you civilize and become a Republic first, because it requires a government form that's impossible for you to form. Since there's a lot of waiting around for Carthage to make a mistake, I found it a lot easier to civilize first than to complete the Nuragic tree, and now I'm stuck and can't slave raid.

Uhhh, you put this video out about an hour ago. By that time it was already the 26th, at least in central europe. A bit late to announce an imperator Day on the 25th `:D But I think it is a good choice to not do it at the weekend as today afternoon (central european time) the most wishlisted game on steam gets early access release. kind of wholesome actually
laith deserves praise for having the drive to push the game so frequently and passionately that this eventually happened
Laith actually got credits in the patch notes yesterday. He is actually mentioned by name as the one organising an event to revive the game
"I revived a game, and all I got is this T shirt for it"
Haha brilliant
