I had a bolt in my tire with no spare. The car is literally less than two weeks old so I didn’t want to buy a new tire by using the sealant since it is a brand new tire as it is. So, I used the pump with the cap still on and it worked like a champ to fill up my tire to get me to the shop to have my tire patched. I have to be honest. I was pissed that I looked for a spare and didn’t find one in my brand new car but this little pump is a badass!
If you not a big fan of replacing tires every time for minor flats, you can use this kit without the sealant, just keep that yellow plug on, and use the pump as just a pump. If you already screw the sealant on, and now want to use pump without the sealant, you can take it together with the hose of the pump by unscrewing two Phillips screws on the bottom, then brake-off 5-mm black plastic ring around the bottle's neck, then bottle will unscrew. Replace the yellow plug and enjoy! :)
Yes, luckily you can unscrew the connector for the sealant and the flexible hose. I found out from my garage I had to replace both the pump AND the sealant. More waste! For that price (200+ euros) I can get a spare tire with tools! Managed to clean out the sealant, that luckily stays liquid for quite a while (I cleaned it 3 days after use). The pump is a great piece of kit, just not if it's considered waste after use.
I’ve fixed my flat tyre using your video. I’ve watched lots of videos for using this tyre fixing liquid before and I find it most satisfactory, I strongly recommend this.
@@babarog4 most Stealership or Tireshop will push you to get a new tire because they want to make biggest profit. Tireshop actually can vacuum and wipe the tires and do proper tire repair by regular mushroom plug from inside the tire and re-balance the tire.

You have to get it repaired if it can be repaired, they will find the puncture and seal it (those kits can even be bought online for use by yourself). In my case the tire went from full pressure to 0 in less than a minute and I dropped to the rim. Tire has to be replaced. Of however you only lost some air and brought it back up to pressure there is a good chance of repair.

I I am getting ready to purchase 4 new Continental DWS06 Plus, and was ready to purchase one of these kits because my BMW has no place for a spare. The new tires cost about $300 each plus $1500 for the wheel. There isn't any way that I will throw away a tire that expensive. At first I was impressed until I read the comments. I will call Road Service. The compressor might be nice though.
Hello everyone, my car had a flat tire, I found a self-tapping screw there and pulled it out, I used this kit and drove about another 100 Miles, I came home the next day and was going to repair it, but the wheel is fine and I don’t know what I need to do next since Is the wheel almost new?
Dear Wabbit, it is only intended to remove the bottle incl. nozzle and tube. When buying a new bottle of the Conti Mobility Kit, a new nozzle and tube are included. I heard stories that if you will use the flat tire kit and your car has tire pressure sensor, after this you must change this tire pressure sensor. Is it true?
The pump is great to have if you need to add air, solid construction and brought my tire from 0 PSI back to normal. However using the sealant -according to my garage- leads to having to replace both the pump and the sealant container. For that price (200+ euros) I can get a spare small tire with tools (which I will do). I also got myself a repair kit with sealing plugs and tools, in that case I could repair my own tire and use the pump to fill it up again. If you use it, try to clean out the flexible hose as soon as possible after use. Unscrew the connector for the sealant container and flexible hose and run water till it runs through clear. You can then screw it back on and hopefully the pump should last a long time.
On my previous car if I had had to replace the pump or just the sealant it would have been the equivalent of another tire. So a spare tire is reusable ... however it might impact your fuel consumption as you add weight. I'm a fan of a spare, a repair kit and a pump. The sealant container alone goes for 60 euros (must be similar in $).
While using the compressor to just fill the air in the tyre i.e. without sealant, do we need to remove that yellow cap on the compressor and then turn it on? Last time I tried with yellow cap on, compressor started making lot of unexpected sound. I did not experiment after that
Dear Makinja, thank you for your message. With the help of the ContiMobilityKit a tire can be repaired but we recommend to replace it soon after. Best regards from Germany, Franca
My new Škoda Fabia has this system, it has its limitations like anything else, my last Fabia had a spare wheel, however when it was needed, despite me being able to change the wheel, the punctured wheel was fused to the hub, and would not free off, so I had call out breakdown assistance anyway, these kits at least offer a chance of continuing the journey without having to change the wheel, plus they are lighter and more environmentally friendly due to less CO2.
What happens when the leak is at the top of the tyre when you are pumping it up. The air could leak out as fast as you put it in. Should the tyre not be moved so the leak is at the bottom when you pump it up?
Sure, if the leak is sloe .. with a small glass chip sized leak, it inflated from flat to recommended pressure in about 5 mins, deflated again in 20 minutes.

No, don’t take out the nail. It’ll actually help keep the puncture sealed. 👍🏾
Just remove nail and put the plug, then just air and drive any speed and time.
