Something I want to point out: The Red Death's eyes are not that good. As Fishlegs stated, "small eyes, large nostrils, relies on hearing and smell" The eyes are absurdly small for a dragon that size, so for example: it stands to reason that the eyes don't have that great a focus range.
Agreed, also the "No blind spots" isn't entirely true. Examining the anatomy it would have a blind spot right behind the frill. As the frill fand slightly outwards. Granted if anything did try to hide there it'd get crushed if the dragon turned its head. Also based on the size of its body its also possible it would have a blind spot somewhere between its back legs.
Although logic may tell us that it should have a blind spot, it is specifically stated in SoD that it has no blind spots in Dragon Tactics. And to quote Chris Sanders: "All dragons have a blind spot. Except for this one. That is one reason we gave her six eyes instead of two." Another quote from the wiki: "Because of their multiple eyes, they also do not have a blind spot." Their eyes have also been called well developed before. So yeah, it doesn't make sense, but that's the canonical reason behind it!
I personally think that the “king of all dragons” should’ve been higher, also where’s the skrill at, that thing was technically faster than toothless thanks to its ability to ride lightning, and had some of the greatest destructive power of any dragon.
Your points are right. Do you have your own list? I have. My list: 1. Toothless 2. Bewilderbeast 3. Green Death, Red Death 4. Screaming Death 5. Purple Death, Foreverwing 6. Ripwrecker 7. Submaripper 8. Shellfire 9. normal Night Fury, Light Fury, Night Light 10. Skrill What do you think?

Skrill should definitely be around the Night Fury's level, maybe even more powerful, just because it can literally summon godly amounts of power of lightning, and when it first appeared it was easily able to dodge and stop Toothless' attacks.
🤣🤣🤣 Good joke! That makes no sense. What would Skrill do if Night Fury attacks him with the dive bombing attack? That killed the Red Death. Imagine what would happen to Skrill from such an attack. What would Skrill do if Night Fury block any lighting-attack with his wings, and then he rejects them towards Skrill? Skrill would easily avoid it, but if the only way for Skrill to beat Night Fury is that thing with lightning, and Night Fury can block it, then Skrill has no chance, because Night Fury has a lot more attacks that could do the job. What would Skrill do if Night Fury knock him into the water? They both are great swimmers, but Skrill can't use lightning underwater! What would Skrill do in this fight?
@@borisstankovic2830 Actually the dive bomb didnt kill the red death what killed it was toothless first shooting its mouth when it was charging an attack then the red death's wings burning making it fall to its death with an explosion of fire. The skrill should at least be around toothless' level.
@@borisstankovic2830 also it can attack in water but TO the water so knock toothless to the water then shock him to death ez you're just stupid bs stan
Honestly I think the list should have some honorable mentions, something like the Skrill should definitely be mentioned. Whilst he didn't beat toothless, he did give the dragonriders a very hard time and can cause a lot of destruction, the only problem he has is that he can't fire whilst in he is in water. There's also a couple of other dragons that could be honorable mentions.
He kinda did beat Toothless. Hiccup knew him and Toothless had zero chance of beating it, and needed the dragon hunters to save them from the Skrill, and later needed the Skrill to save them from the dragon hunters. The Skrill absolutely demolished Toothless, just like the Flightmare, Singetail, Quaken, Cavern Crasher, and pretty much every other dragon from RTTE. RTTE nerfed Toothless so fucking hard.
The bewilder beast and Drago's bewilder beast are the same type of dragon, the Skrill even in games say that it's one of the most feared and powerful...and also the Skrill is my favorite lol
The difference between them was their upbringing, Drago’s was trained to destroy and kill, but Valka’s grew up with peace and only fights on instinct, not training
I think the dead bewilderveast and the sentintle dragons should ve on this this the skeleton of the vewilderbeast. Was far larger than the other two And was seemingly the king of dragons at one point And the sentinels are extremely adaptive and intelligent plus when taking damage all they need to heal is heat.
I was a bit surprised Screaming Death was number one but it makes sense. Toothless did no damage to it.It took all the dragons on Dragon Island to drive it away. And the only reason it went away for good is because it was reunited with its mother. If that didn't happen then Berk would have been destroyed. But putting this aside good top ten list.
Not really. Remember at the end of race to the edge where the bewilderbeast living in berserker island called all the dragons to help? The screaming death heard the called and obeyed the alpha which was the bewilderbeast
I wouldn’t really say that as red death and bewilderbeast and some others didn’t get damage for toothless blast either. Red death and screaming death reactor similarly to the screaming death when toothless blast them and the bewilderbeast took blast from a more powerful toothless. And the thing about screaming death dealing with multiple dragons well hundreds of dragons feared the red death for who knows how long and bewilderbeast controlled hundreds or thousands of dragons ( and can control the scream death too btw)
@@C0caCola583 Not nessesarily The bewilderbeast is just listed as an Alpha meaning it uses a frequency that controls other dragons, that has nothing to do with strength
@@nuhscott9058 bewilderbeast should be #1 because of the dead bewilderbeast we saw in the rtte which was an entire island and we can easily say it's 5 maybe 10 times bigger then a normal adult. Also both bewilderbeast beast and screaming death have thick hide. It's also possible that by the end of rtte the screaming death we saw was fully grown. The bewilderbeast also took thousands of shot from hundreds or thousands of dragons at one point and only lost it's tusk but had no sever damage to it's body
you forgot to mention that the screaming death is also really young (he is only 6 years old in the beggining of httyd 3 and 3 years old when he appeared in race to the edge) and will grow larger in size, intelligence and probably become more powerful it also (outside of the games) appears to have no shot limit and almost no time between each shot making him almost be a giant fireball machine gun even tho he bows down to the bewilderbeast in the berzerker's island which isnt even that big compared to valka's it can probably outgrow the red death in size being almost as big as a bewilderbeast and since it is already stronger than one, an adult screaming death will probably become the king in a short period of time also the screaming death is as rare as a nightfury since one is born at every 100 years or so meaning that there will always be one screaming death in the entire world
This may sound kinda dumb but can you tell me where does the dragon clips come from? Because I can't seem to remember them in the movie 1-3 and the homecoming short movie
@@lancelouis3609 they come from the animated series and shorts that happened in between Here are them in chronological order Legend of the boneknapper Gift of the Nightfury Riders of Berk (season 1) Defenders of Berk (season 2) Race to the edge (seasons 3 to 8)
Personally I think the sentinels in race to the edge should have gotten at the very least an honorable mention, just because they developed the ability to counter the attacks of ever dragon that ever went to the dragon graveyard, and it only took one attack from Toothless for them to adapt a way to counter him.
I think the screaming death makes sense to be number 1 because its the only dragon on the list that is capable of sinking an entire island to the point of there being no trace it was ever even there
@@Shin-mu7yc I might be mistaken as I haven't followed How To Train Your Dragon for a very long time, but wasn't it said that the Screaming Death was the most powerful dragon Berk (or whatever the village is called) has faced SINCE the Red Death? Wouldn't that imply that the Red Death is more powerful? And it makes sense cause not only is the red death much longer in size, its also a lot more massive. So it should be stronger. And its flames also seem a lot more powerful compared to the fireballs used by the Screaming Death.
Filip Jovanovski, that makes no sense, Toothless is the strongest, fastest, smartest dragon in franchise. Normal Night Fury is really strong, but isn't that strong as Toothless. Great video but I feel the Titan wing dramillion should have been on this list it can camouflage, tanked over 40 blasts from singetails, can mimic the fire of any dragon and has its own very powerful fire. But this is just my opinion and again great video.
I base my entire faith in the skrill in any dragon battle and I think I should have definitely gotten a place here. Skrill is natural enemy of singetail and no other dragon was able to stand up to it in race to tbe edge.
I mean, let a skrill battle a Slitherwing and then watch what happens. From what we know about the potency of it’s poison, pretty much any dragon would easily be killed. Aside from maybe some of the huge ones who have enough mass to take the hit
Agree with the first spots, but I think the Skrill, Titan Wing Dramillion and Catastrophic Quake are a lot more powerful than a Typhoomerang, the Fireworm Queen or the Crimison Goregutter. Still a good top 10.
What I find interesting is the color change in dragos bewilder beast. I come from the horse world, where the grey/white horses are black when they are younger and fade to white over time. That may be the case of the two builder beasts. Valkas seems grey and older, while dragos is dark and young.
Actually Valka's bewilder beast is kinda really young like 2-3 years if you consider the httyd series canon, as the last episode of race to the edge we actually see when hiccup gave the bewilder beast egg to the maidens and they gave it to valka so her bewilder beast, however it got that big in 2-3 years its very young as dragons seem to have either a life span as long as humans or longer.
I think the skrill , death song and the flightmare should be on this list. Skrill can breathe powerful blasts of white fire/lightning. Death song can trap enemies and paralysis them. Flightmare can freze enimies.
Are there any HTTYD fans sad because jay baruchel and the other voice actors are done doing the series... I got heartbroken when jay said it and got rly sad because I wanted to see more dragons....
Perhaps not the strongest, but I’d like to give an honorable mention to the Deathsong. It lures any dragon aside from the thunder drum into its trap and shoots them in Amber only a monstrous nightmare can melt. Just seems like an overall smart and deadly dragon
MN cannot melt it exactly,if they could, why didn t hookfang melt ot when he was in that stuff? It s the human that can spread liquid of MN on it so it can melt and free prisoner
@@nikitahatamov4312 I get the feeling you're just supposed to overlook that so we could give a Thunderdrum some screen time after Thornado left the plot. Hiccup broke the amber by igniting MN oil, which is their saliva. By all rights, Hookfang could've ignited and freed himself. Even if Hookfang couldn't ignite where the amber covered, he could still ignite his head and tail and free himself. I think it's a loophole in the writing that we're supposed to ignore for the sake of the story.
That wouldn't make sense. Since when Valka got kidnapped, she was brought to the home of the bewilderbeast (reffering to the one we see) So that would mean Valka's bewilder beast is about 20 years old.
Toothless outsmarted the shit out of the Skrill so no it's not smarter and the night fury beat it up in both 1v1s so don't say it's stronger. Also have you even seen how to train your dragon 2 cause if you have you know no one is beating a night fury.
I'm surprised that the scauldron isn't up there because I remember fish legs saying it's blast of hot water can melt the scales off a screaming death, if I remember correctly.

It’s about tope 10 strongest so all of those guys can’t be on it but yeah some of the dragons you mentioned should replace some of the guys on this list like if fireworm queen is on this the cavern crasher should be high as she couldn’t beat it on her own
Personally I believe that toothless after movie 3 would be able to beat the screaming death by constantly firing then disappearing, all of the dragons did go to the cave after all and he was still the alpha. The screaming death might have challenged him
@@kyleb8672 yep. In race to the edge the Screaming Death was with its mother and siblings on a random island. Snotlout and Hiccup found that island and the Screaming Death attacked them only for the Screaming Death's mother to protect them. cap bro, the screaming death ur talkin about is the baby, or if ur talking about it when it was sinking most of the archipelago it was a child back then, an adult would probably be as big if not bigger than a bewilderbeast and with its durability it would be basically invincible
Does it actually have great enough strength to kill its victims though? If not, that's why it wasn't added. This is the top most powerful dragons. Hyponotizing is certainly a great ability, but if it doesn't have the strength to finish off its victims, then it makes sense for it to be excluded.

They did end up letting it go free after befriending it later, but it gave them a ton of trouble.
Valka’s Bewilderbeast isn’t extremely old. At the end of the Netflix series Dragons: Race to the Edge Hiccup has the women on razorwhip island deliver the (unknown at the time) Bewilderbeast egg they rescued from Yohan to a drop of point where a mysterious woman (Valka) retrieved it. Valka nurtured this egg and it hatched into the Alpha Bewilderbeast. HTTYD 2 takes place only a few years after this series so Valka’s Bewilderbeast is no older than 7-10 years old.
No, its not the same bewilderbeast, reminder that cloudjumper kidnapped valka and when she arrived at the nest, the Bewilderbeast was already there, and seeing his size (category 9) its more than possible that its over 100 years old Also, no HTTYD 2 and race to the edge's difference is only 2 years They were 20 in that movie (given to the fact that valka was gone for 20 years) the war with dragons also ended 5 years prior to httyd 2 ( so httyd was when the crew was 15) And in one of the episodes in the series we see that ruff and tuff turn 18 so its only 2 years appart
That scene with the egg in RTTE was added last minute by Netflix (wasn't planned as part of the series originally), because they wanted something that could connect the series with the movie even if the series isn't canon (because, you know, $$$)
Well this is only the movies not the books. The dragons look totally different from the books to the movies. In the book deadly nadders are like snakes and gronckles have a longer tail in the book. Also Toothless in the books looks exactly like a terrible terror.
It is pretty powerful true that..... I would like to see dramillion..... I don’t think it’d be ok this list but I mean it can mimic any dragons abilities they come across and use it against them that’s pretty sick
Yes it is true that the screaming deaths scales are pretty much impenetrable but the only time we got to see toothless face off against it was like 5 years before he got his alpha powers
same thing with that screaming death, it was a baby when toothless fought it, and when it was sinking down most of the archipelago he was barely a toddler
actually, the screaming Death would win. Screaming Death: -Really fast -can shot fast -gigantic -has a Spike Skin Toothless: -Has a powerful shot, -is very fast -can hide in the night But, toothless must load his super shot(or whatever its called), it takes like 10 seconds and he can only use it when he is very angry, and he has to hit the screaming death, and the screaming death is very fast. And he could spam shot while toothless is charging his shoot.
I haven’t watched the show but I’m a big fan of the movies so I might get into it, but with toothless being being alpha he pretty much had the same control of the other dragons as the bewilder beasts, but with the way he rules they’re loyal too him not mindless drones that do his beck and call. I was thinking that puts him higher. And he literally shot the horn off once he charged it up in alpha mode. The clip I saw hiccup looked pretty young
6:10 that tough looking dude is Scarface. He’s not canon in the story but that’s what an adult night fury looks like. I haven’t read the comics, so he probably showed up in there. Idk.
Ok so first I'm a huge fan of HTTYD, so thanks so much for making this video. I do disagree with a few points though. First is the Typhoomerang. It might be bigger than the Gorecutter but the Gorecutter has much thicker skin and would have a greater resistance to fire. A similar point with the Fireworm. The Skrill would be able to charge it's most powerful attacks faster than a Night Fury. Toothless never had a chance to charge his attacks against the Screaming Death but did against the Bewilderbeast. Finally, you are missing what I believe is the most powerful: the Deathgripper. This dragon usually hunts in packs, but alone it packs a powerful punch. They can be faster and more agile than a Night Fury and medium size dragons are rendered helpless if struck by its tail. In my opinion this dragon should be number 1.
I feel the two bewilderbeasts could have shared a spot as they are the same species, making room for one more dragon on the list. There's a few powerful dragons out there, but my mind goes to the deathsong, a dragon species that hunts and eats other dragons. If your diet consists of dragons, you're undoubtedly powerful.
Screaming Death and Drago's Bewilderbeast are both titan-class dragons....alphas of their species with different coloring and often are larger than other members of their same species. Thank you, Dragons Race to the Edge for this knowledge.

I personally think that the “king of all dragons” should’ve been higher, also where’s the skrill at, that thing was technically faster than toothless thanks to its ability to ride lightning, and had some of the greatest destructive power of any dragon.

@@borisstankovic2830 You have a lot of free time on yer hands, don't ya?
@@borisstankovic2830 Actually the dive bomb didnt kill the red death what killed it was toothless first shooting its mouth when it was charging an attack then the red death's wings burning making it fall to its death with an explosion of fire. The skrill should at least be around toothless' level.
@@borisstankovic2830 dodge lightning storm then lightning shock either that or fatal shot to the mouth and done
The skrill shouldn’t be honorable mentions it should actually top typhoomerang
Was far larger than the other two
And was seemingly the king of dragons at one point
And the sentinels are extremely adaptive and intelligent plus when taking damage all they need to heal is heat.
If screaming death is more powerful than the bewilderbeast, it wouldn’t do that.
The bewilderbeast also took thousands of shot from hundreds or thousands of dragons at one point and only lost it's tusk but had no sever damage to it's body
you forgot to mention that the screaming death is also really young (he is only 6 years old in the beggining of httyd 3 and 3 years old when he appeared in race to the edge)
and will grow larger in size, intelligence and probably become more powerful
it also (outside of the games) appears to have no shot limit and almost no time between each shot making him almost be a giant fireball machine gun
even tho he bows down to the bewilderbeast in the berzerker's island which isnt even that big compared to valka's
it can probably outgrow the red death in size being almost as big as a bewilderbeast and since it is already stronger than one, an adult screaming death will probably become the king in a short period of time
also the screaming death is as rare as a nightfury since one is born at every 100 years or so meaning that there will always be one screaming death in the entire world
This may sound kinda dumb but can you tell me where does the dragon clips come from? Because I can't seem to remember them in the movie 1-3 and the homecoming short movie
@@lancelouis3609 they come from the animated series and shorts that happened in between
Here are them in chronological order
Legend of the boneknapper
Gift of the Nightfury
Riders of Berk (season 1)
Defenders of Berk (season 2)
Race to the edge (seasons 3 to 8)
Personally I think the sentinels in race to the edge should have gotten at the very least an honorable mention, just because they developed the ability to counter the attacks of ever dragon that ever went to the dragon graveyard, and it only took one attack from Toothless for them to adapt a way to counter him.
I think the screaming death makes sense to be number 1 because its the only dragon on the list that is capable of sinking an entire island to the point of there being no trace it was ever even there
And also has the strongest and thickest scales out of all the dragons
I think the red death should be able to do that, considering it’s size, and how it just went through a thick volcano wall with ease.
@@thenovicegamer007 It is stronger, bigger and has more powerful attacks. Tbh I don’t know who would win if they fought.
Filip Jovanovski, that makes no sense, Toothless is the strongest, fastest, smartest dragon in franchise. Normal Night Fury is really strong, but isn't that strong as Toothless. yea defiently it should have been number 1 in this list
You can make your own list for your opinion
Singetail too cause for some reason In httyd 1 toothless knocked down the red death but for some reason couldn’t harm a singetail and many more
Titan wing dramillion should be second
What I find interesting is the color change in dragos bewilder beast. I come from the horse world, where the grey/white horses are black when they are younger and fade to white over time. That may be the case of the two builder beasts. Valkas seems grey and older, while dragos is dark and young.
That’s might be true as it would explain the loss to dragosas vallas was older and weaker.
If dragos were younger it would be odd to be that much larger

Valka’s Bewilderbeast isn’t extremely old. At the end of the Netflix series Dragons: Race to the Edge Hiccup has the women on razorwhip island deliver the (unknown at the time) Bewilderbeast egg they rescued from Yohan to a drop of point where a mysterious woman (Valka) retrieved it. Valka nurtured this egg and it hatched into the Alpha Bewilderbeast. HTTYD 2 takes place only a few years after this series so Valka’s Bewilderbeast is no older than 7-10 years old.
Nah that egg isn’t Valka’s bewilderbeast at least in my opinion and neither is the bewilderbeast that gave birth to the egg
No, its not the same bewilderbeast, reminder that cloudjumper kidnapped valka and when she arrived at the nest, the Bewilderbeast was already there, and seeing his size (category 9) its more than possible that its over 100 years old
Also, no HTTYD 2 and race to the edge's difference is only 2 years
They were 20 in that movie (given to the fact that valka was gone for 20 years) the war with dragons also ended 5 years prior to httyd 2 ( so httyd was when the crew was 15)
And in one of the episodes in the series we see that ruff and tuff turn 18 so its only 2 years appart
Wut abt the bewilder beast egg in race to the edge, valka clearly took the egg at the end of the finale
Valkas bewilderbeast is at least 20 years old
That scene with the egg in RTTE was added last minute by Netflix (wasn't planned as part of the series originally), because they wanted something that could connect the series with the movie even if the series isn't canon (because, you know, $$$)
The Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus is much stronger than the screaming death. That thing could squish a bewilderbeast without realizing it.
Well this is only the movies not the books. The dragons look totally different from the books to the movies. In the book deadly nadders are like snakes and gronckles have a longer tail in the book. Also Toothless in the books looks exactly like a terrible terror.

Sentinel, skrill, singetails, and slitherwings got robbed on this.

Screaming Death:
-Really fast
-can shot fast
-gigantic
-has a Spike Skin

-can hide in the night
But, toothless must load his super shot(or whatever its called), it takes like 10 seconds and he can only use it when he is very angry, and he has to hit the screaming death, and the screaming death is very fast.

For me, screaming death, skril, bewilderbeast, night fury, triple stryke, and the razorwhip is the most powerfull dragon
Yeah you forgot the Skrill but its ok. Its one of my favorites though, besides The Night Fury and Light Fury.
finaly a good list
I feel the two bewilderbeasts could have shared a spot as they are the same species, making room for one more dragon on the list. There's a few powerful dragons out there, but my mind goes to the deathsong, a dragon species that hunts and eats other dragons. If your diet consists of dragons, you're undoubtedly powerful.
I still think that the screaming death is still out there in the underground and not in the hidden world
So do I, I don’t think he would like all of the other dragons
I feel that toothless could take on the screaming death now
True-
Death song could kill toothless
@@markfbuckley11382 depending upon the period of time then probably
He forgot to say that the call of the screaming death disorientates other dragons and weakens them substantially.
Yup.
Screaming Death and Drago's Bewilderbeast are both titan-class dragons....alphas of their species with different coloring and often are larger than other members of their same species. Thank you, Dragons Race to the Edge for this knowledge.
Hm didn’t know that except for the Screaming Death
@@Unknownrandomdude You gotta watch race to the edge, it's on netflix. totally worth the super binge
@@sabrinaicestaff I just finished rewatching today
An added fact on the screaming death one is only born every 100 years from an average whispering death , due to it being huge and terrifying
Let's take the moment to appreciate how much effort he puts into his content for us🧡
Why did a bot out of all comments get a heart?
we all know whos at the end... Too- WAIT WHAT? NO? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME!??!?
rip Lol... Lucky screaming death fans :) and maybe unlucky night fury fan's
the skirll should have been number one in this list
Toothless is faster than typhoomerang because he can teleport in lightning
And the lightning moves a tenth the speed of light
Toothless is faster
No it doesn't Tell me when dean confirmed that Toothless can only fly of the speed of sound not light get your facts right.
@@chekkat8956 toothless can move in lightning so he is fast
He can’t teleport.
@@meettheinmans7175 he did in the movie when he was flying with lightfury and when he had a fight with death gripper he teleport himself to other place before grimmel could find him
@@Red-mw7nq Toothles didn't teleport, he pretty much just used lighting to heat up his scales and go invisible. The ability allowed Toothless and Hiccup to sneak past grimmel undetected.
The Screaming Death was the only dragon that actually scared me as a kid. It looks like a freaking Human Sperm
Its been so long since ive seen one of these
