What do you mean "after him"? Toothless will live for hundreds of years, he's likely still alive in the modern series, and that's considering that he doesn't reach Elder status in which he'd live longer.
I honestly think of the light furies and night furies as a single species in which the males are black and the females white, sexual dimorphism is a common thing in many species after all, like cows and bulls or most birds, another explanation may be that all normal members of their species are white and toothless was born with a melanistic genetic mutation making him black, then again a another relatively common thing in many animals (black panthers being an example, not a new species, just black versions of Jaguars, Cougars and Leopards, or ayam cemani chickens), they of course could also be closely related different species that are genetically close enough to breed and have offspring together like Wolves and Coyotes or Horses and Donkeys

Nah, these are 2 different species, but they are related. That means that the lightfury is kind of a subspecies of the nightfury. There are males and females in both species.

There is an error in the ranking, which is that Stunning Monster is rarer than the Red Death, the Screaming Death, the Purple Death, the Taurus Lord, and the Night Fury. There is only one of them, so they are not the rarest, perhaps now, but as time progresses, there will be more of them.

Well no because there are 2 night furies left, one is toothless and the other one is unknown, the rarest in my opinion is the screaming death because only one hatches every 100 years or so. Making it the only specie of dragon to go extinct at some point and then come back after hatching
It makes me happy to know the largest/strongest alpha dragon aka the purple death is the rarest, but it does make me sad that it got defeated by fuckin sleep. But the reason I say that the purple death is because as you could see in the comic it is literally bigger then berk itself, and having a physical mass that is arguably 2-3 times bigger then bewilderbeast.
Its official size is 401 feet. Making literally one foot larger than the Red Death. It was probably just an art inconsistency or odd pov that made it appear to be way bigger. We also gotta remember the bewilderbeast in httyd 2 were no where near full size. The vanaheim bewilderbeast was probably a full sized one and a couple kilometers in size.

Thats actually incorrect, the Buffalord is rarer than the Night Fury. Considering nowadays, the Buffalord would now be extinct, whilst Toothless should still be alive. With that information, Buffalord's are rarer than Night Fury's.
Also, it's possible that Nightfuries are still alive in other parts of the world the franchise is set in because it'd take more than a lifetime to hunt and kill every Nightfury in the world. Nah, these are 2 different species, but they are related. That means that the lightfury is kind of a subspecies of the nightfury. There are males and females in both species.

There is an error in the ranking, which is that Stunning Monster is rarer than the Red Death, the Screaming Death, the Purple Death, the Taurus Lord, and the Night Fury. There is only one of them, so they are not the rarest, perhaps now, but as time progresses, there will be more of them.
And if there only one ONLY ONE OF A SPECIES THAT MEANS ITS SEPUER REAR IF THERE IS MORE THEN ONE OF THAT SO colde reares dragon then the night fury its the rearest
Well no because there are 2 night furies left, one is toothless and the other one is unknown, the rarest in my opinion is the screaming death because only one hatches every 100 years or so. Making it the only specie of dragon to go extinct at some point and then come back after hatching

It makes me happy to know the largest/strongest alpha dragon aka the purple death is the rarest, but it does make me sad that it got defeated by fuckin sleep. But the reason I say that the purple death is because as you could see in the comic it is literally bigger then berk itself, and having a physical mass that is arguably 2-3 times bigger then bewilderbeast.
Its official size is 401 feet. Making literally one foot larger than the Red Death. It was probably just an art inconsistency or odd pov that made it appear to be way bigger. We also gotta remember the bewilderbeast in httyd 2 were no where near full size. The vanaheim bewilderbeast was probably a full sized one and a couple kilometers in size.

@Am-i-really-me Like I said, it was probably just an art inconsistency. Because later in the comic, we get a shot of Stormfly and Hookfang near its head. And the scaling fits perfectly with how they scaled with the red death. I'm sure if we saw the thing animated we wouldn't have this issue

It actually got hypnotized by a changewing and was forced asleep. Also it's the same size as the red death so seems like an equal fight if it happened

Thats actually incorrect, the Buffalord is rarer than the Night Fury. Considering nowadays, the Buffalord would now be extinct, whilst Toothless should still be alive. With that information, Buffalord's are rarer than Night Fury's.
Also, it's possible that Nightfuries are still alive in other parts of the world the franchise is set in because it'd take more than a lifetime to hunt and kill every Nightfury in the world. Grimmel ain't immortal. The most likely scenario is that Grimmel hunted all the Nightfuries in that specific part of the world
