    Great video! The Honda Pilot exceeded all my expectations, and clearly won the categories of stealth, sleeper, comfort, passenger capacity, smiles/gallon and smiles/dollar!

    Nice! That slick mud was giving me flashbacks to that time we went to Uwharrie! 😂 my all terrains were sliding all over the place but you had the mud terrains then and you had plenty of grip! Don't feel bad I am sure I probably would have high centered in the same spots you did since we're very close in clearance.

      I definitely wished for my 32" mud terrains in this video! The tires are the only way to raise the rear control arm any higher off the ground. I am fighting the urge to own two sets of wheels. One mild set for travels and hilly regions and one 32" MT set for lowcountry wheeling.

    Are Pilots may be fairly capable, go anywhere machines considering they are "mom vans" with all wheel drive. lol. But they simply can't compete with a Unimog offroad. The Pilot did very well actually. A valiant try. That looked to be so much fun! By the way, it's pronounced You Knee Mog.

      That is true! Personally, I can’t believe we could do much of the track at all. It was built for Jeeps and Unimogs after all.

    awesome video. Great job filming Eli! not an apples to apples comparison between the Mog and Pilot. That being said, all things considered, the Pilot won. It's like David and Goliath. 300k miles on your SUV! Only question is, what's gonna be your next overlander? Inquiring minds want to know!

      Thanks for the support! I don't have any plans for a next vehicle at this time. As of right now we plan to keep the Pilot running forever. LOL

    I think the only thing you guys need is clearence. Apart from that, the Pilot did very well. Consodering that originally, unlike the jeep or unimog its not a dedicated off-road vehicle.

      Clearance is hard gained on a unit body vehicle like the Pilot. I am sitting at 3.5-4" of lift from stock right now. I was pleased with the performance and will focus most of my efforts on hardening the under carriage to prevent damage to the driveline. My clearance will remain as is for now because I have been happy with axle lift at my current lift height.

      Does the Unimog still win after the 6 kid bonus multiplier? Stay tuned for the damage report!

    I’m assuming you were using 4lock the majority of the time? it seemed like all 4 wheels were spinning and clawing when you were going through the course, instead of the one wheel peel you usually see on open diff vehicles. Impressive 4wd system to say the least !

    I love this pilot! What kind of LED headlights and fog lights do you have?

    • @GotterAdventure
      @GotterAdventure  9 місяців тому +1

      I’m running Boslla H11 low beams and generic fanless bulbs for the fog lights. The fans on my fog light bulbs kept breaking from mud exposure.

    Это специально так глупо ездили, чтоб контент снять, на гладиаторе прицепное устройство не снять, чтоб оно служило якорем на бездорожье, потом на хонде, лезть в глубокую колею, это равносильно и выглядит так, как будто человек наступил на грабли и пытается это делать каждый раз?
