- We are all going a little crazy right now, and this Crack Chicken recipe is the perfect meal for quarantine cooking! From first bite, it has become my husband's favorite. His first reaction was that it reminds him of a warm version of the famous chicken salad chain's "Sassy Scotty"! You can double the recipe and put it in the fridge for the week, or even freeze it for another easy weeknight meal! Thank you so much. Have missed your videos. Quite made my day here in the UK as we are really 'locked down' , we are not allowed out at all except for 1 hr for exercise, can shop once a week , or have to go out for medical treatment. We are losing up to 900 people a day to this virus, so your videos are even more important at this time and even more appreciated. Ahhh I don't have cream cheese! Bummer. Is there anything to substitute? (that would taste good,lol) Thanks for the video! Stay safe!
Hi Megan! Thanks for the comment! I've never tried it with anything else, but if you have these ingredients they are good substitutes for cream cheese. 8 oz low fat cottage cheese mixed with 1/4 cup margarine OR 1/2 cup ricotta cheese plus 1/2 cup plain full-fat yogurt. If you try it let me know how it turns out. I can only promise that the cream cheese recipe will work! ;) Take care and stay well!
Question...it looks amazing...possibly very flavorful but looks incomplete...do you just eat by itself?...or with something?👀I just got my crock-pot express cooker... it's a little intimidating but I was looking to see how people make recipes in this but I think I'm going to love it
You can eat it with crackers, rice , bread , rolls anything you like
Just like @zoeyprasad mentioned all of those starches are great options! I will say that it is VERY filling so my husband and I eat it alone, but on a croissant is unreal!!! 😋
What size os your crockpot express?
Hi Mel! I have a 4 and 6 quart. I use my 6 religiously and for me it is the perfect size, but sometimes I do wish I had the 8 when cooking things like chili. Let me know if you have any questions!
