I never sit in my car and wait. If I don't get a batch as soon as I finish the previous one, I go home and wait. I live right in the middle of the 6 stores in my area.

This is not a problem with me. I can sit in my house waiting for batches on my high speed wifi and get the same results.
I get a lot of people saying that but what if your signal let's you receive batches just a few seconds before others don't you think that would give you a better opportunity to get a good batch?
Some batches go on your phone first whereas others you get it after others. I know this because I have a new account and I get batches before my partner gets them and then other times its the other way around. And sometimes we get completely different batches that never shows up on both of our phones.

That is because instacart give new shoppers and veteran shoppers priority.
The whole point of the device is to mimic the high speed internet from your car, duh. If you're in between batches away from your home, who's going to drive all the way home just to look for batches
Dude it's the BOTS and only the BOTS .. I was out a week ago working I was at the store outside in the parking lot a batch with a 47 dollar payout appeared for a nano second at the location I was at. So I went into the store and found the only instacart shopper working. I took his picture and then reported it to instacart but they didn't care...
Im not saying there aren't bots. I have also had a situation where an $80 or showed up on my screen just long enough for me to see it but my buddy who was standing right next to me had ot on his screen longer and he got the order and he doesn't have a bot.

I do Shipt and I haven’t been getting any hits like that as of lately(the past week) so I’m wondering WHY I haven’t been getting any hits and sure enough I’ve been paying attention to other potential Shipt shoppers… This guy has 2 carts every time I see him FULL OF SH*T and I don’t even get any hits on my phone like that as of lately! I would wake up to like 7 orders and 5 of them would be promos! I’m almost SURE that it’s this guy that’s been here at this Target lately. I can bet any amount of money! I wanted to report him but I feel like they won’t do anything as well

Once u bought it, where the orders still dissapear off of the screen really fast?
When an order is selected by a shopper it disappears so nothing will slow that down however the biggest thing I noticed was my ability to see the batches earlier vs waiting for my network to catch up and load.
You are definitely right about the signal strength. I can't get a signal in some spots in my area. I'm going to switch carriers. I think Verizon is better in my area.
A lot of people who use Cricket have told me the booster really helps them. I started looking into this because I used At&t and this booster changed my entire world at a specific location

I just started doing instercart I enjoy shopping. However, right now the batch icon is not appearing at all on my dashboard. I check the data status and it say no issue. Does anyone know why am having this issue?
I would try deleting the app and reinstalling it sounds like a glitch to me.

I had this problem where I got the notifications for batches but my screen wasn't loading and couldn't see the them on the main menu

This did not work for me. Yhe only time i get batches and alot of them if im 39 miles away from a huge town. I only get one or two batches in my area.
Most likely, it is just that there are no batches near you. Which is why you are seeing batches from another town. This only works when there are a lot of batches in your area

Dropping to 4.98 won't affect your batches to much. I am currently also at a 4.98 and I am crazy busy. I would make sure you are up to date on all your learnings.
I too have. 4.98 😩I hardly get batches and have better luck early in the morning because after 9am I can hardly get any. Also, nothing loads and I am also in the Los Angeles area.

I have a super strange case, I'm new, I've been doing instacart for about a month, but I have a concern and it's that I see that the other shopper arrive and are already leaving for an order, they leave and then they return for another order, and I I receive almost nothing and what I receive are orders that nobody wants, I pay a lot of miles, so I want to know what it could be, something else... I pass by a particular shopper that I always see in the store and when I pass they start me to get orders, I don't understand...
Valeria, This is a common issue within instacart. I actually had a similar issue this morning. The best thing to do is not wait in front of the store for an order but be moving to other stores. The only exception to this is Sam's and Costco right at open since the order hit right at open. There are times when it feels like some people are getting all the order however next week it may be them sitting there and you are getting the orders.
This morning I had to take a "just ok" order just to get going in the end I still made $30/hr.

@@Drivetowin13 I just started to try and do IC part time because I have a full time WFH job. The app tells me that I will start seeing more batches once I receive my physical card. Is this true? It also is telling me to go to the stores (which you said above not to do) to get batches. I feel like judging by these comments on your vid that this won’t be worth it because there are no batches? I was expecting to go online and get batches bc my area isn’t waitlisted or anything and I actually live around a lot of big IC retailers. Just wondering when and if I will get a batch.
@Brittles I just happen to see this and I'd like to answer your question. First of all yes you are only receiving non physical card eligible orders so when you get your card you will get more batches.

There was a big news theorizing that all the good batches are going to brand new shoppers and veteran shoppers are getting the scraps. I tested this theory by asking brand new shoppers or onboarding some with a kickback commission.
Yes I agree but they have always done that it's not new. They do this to "help" new shoppers learn the ropes and not get discouraged. I have traveled all over and I am still getting $50-$100 orders pretty regularly.

So I believe there are several things in play. I know that instacart has the ability to target curtain areas and curtain accounts. I to have fast wifi at my home and regularly get no batches however if I contact to the Starbucks accross the street from Costco I get them.

It's a rigged system and instacart doesn't want to even acknowledge it. Which almost makes me wonder if their in on it somehow. I think down the road it will come out as a scandal

I am new and get no batches. when one pops up . Someone takes them before I can accept them
Being new you have an advantage because they do prioritize to new shoppers however if it is just slow then there may not be enough orders to go around. A good way to check is open up the customer app and see how long the wait times are for an order to be delivered if all the store are quick deliveries then its not busy but if the delivery window is later in the day then it will be busy. I usually do this to see how busy my day will be with Costco orders.

The other day I received a message from IC in regards to my shopping speed compared to other shoppers in my region. I only have one region checked in my profile. The "San Fernando Valley" which is roughly 10 miles by 12 miles. There can't be more than 100 available markets in this region that deal with IC and I think that is actually an inflated number. IC put me pretty much in the middle of the "shoppers" as far as speed ...all 2546 of them !!!!!
Pretty much this means that there are well over 25 IC shoppers sitting in each lot trying to beat the next shopper to the swipe. Every damn Uber/Lyft driver in my area signed up with IC in the last month or so. Pretty much over saturating the market with shoppers just like the Ride share gig. Another one "GIG" BITES THE DUST!!!
I don't buy into the bot thing. Just too many desperate new shoppers that are willing to swipe on anything and everything in a blink of an eye. That is the real problem. And IC will never do anything as long as the customer gets their stuff in a timely manner and IC get paid. That's all they care about.
Side note...have you seen the pathetic shopper safety kit? No thermometer...One half ass mask that looks like a monkey cut it out of an old t-shirt and a super tiny bottle of hand sanitizer. What a joke!!
There are a few things that instacart changed in the last month. 1. Because of the amount of customers they added tons of shopper to keep up with demand but now that demand is slowing they basically removed the region feature which obviously causes several issues. 2. They stopped the good ratings priority which means anyone can get batches at any time regardless of how good they are.
If we are patient a majority of these shoppers will go away once instacart reinstates some of this stuff.
Drive to win 13 I sure as hell hope so! Here in Memphis, we have a lot of Bot activity, ID theft (ppl shopping under other people’s profiles), shoppers stealing batches (marking orders as “delivered” but keeping the groceries), and shoppers with covid19 infecting the customers because they REFUSE to wear masks, gloves, use sanitizer or STOP working once they realize they’re sick! They continue to drive with the virus because “they have bills to pay”. They also don’t put instacart down as their employer when they get sick because it’s their “side hustle” so it makes it more difficult for Instacart to report to the Department of Health (it’s illegal if you don’t ) and deactivate them for violation of TOS (CDC Protocol). Hiring an additional 700k plus people was the WORST thing they could’ve ever done! The bots weren’t a problem until the mass hiring took place.

I was hoping someone would explain device issues. I been having issues with the no batches until I logged into my account on another device. Then boom 20 batches. The issue is so hard to diagnose because my phone has no issues with connectivity, internet speed, or any other symptoms of something being wrong. Its only the app. troubleshooting was done and my ratings is perfect. No issues are reported in the app yet my device was the problem the entire time.
I have had people tell me issues like this every now and then and most of the time the issues go away with a restart of the device and or app update. I usually restart my phone every morning before I start working just to clear anything out.
Update: turns out the issue happened to many shoppers after they released some sort of batch dispensing update. And my problem got solved by a factory reset. Not the soft resets. I reset my phone and reinstalled the app too many Times and that was never a solution. This kind of problem is way more complicated then information out there leads us to believe and there should be more technical knowledge on this stuff. I should of just been a developer.
@@InuyashaMiles When this video was made the issue was different than what is going on right now. Right now it is instacart messing with who gets orders and who doesn't. The current issue is because of the app update.

Too many drivers on the road everyone in my city ottawa canada has lost their job due to covid 19 the other day I saw a 95 year old man doing it its ridiculous sooner or later trump and Trudeau are going to get in their cars and start working this job.
I agree there are absolutely to many drivers which is why having the best signal strength possible is so important. If it gives you even one second more time to see a batch it could be the difference between you getting batches and not getting batches

In theory, would this boost the signal for others in close proximity to you? Other shoppers also sitting in their parked cars?
I actually tested this with a friend and when he was standing right outside my car his signal was boosted but sitting in his car next to mine it wasn't.

No not at all. I am saying that if your signal is lower on your phone than the guy next to you than having a booster can help. Also different carriers use different towers so your carrier might be weaker than another carrier.
This isn’t accurate because WiFi service in stores are just as effective as cell data on a phone…and if I’m at the actual store and still not getting a single batch there’s more to it
You are correct there is more to it right now with what's going on. Right instacart is, in my opinion, trying to purge existing shoppers to inflate job numbers. However signal absolutely does matter and like I said in the video if the guy next to you has better signal than you the orders will show up faster on his phone than your phone.

I'm lucky to still be getting batches but this could help me even better. I can't seem to make more then $130 to $200 or so a day. Lots of people seem to make $300 or more a day

@@Drivetowin13 Yes it is. I've even drove 35 minutes to an hour away to shop. To me it's worth it if I'm waiting too long for batches. It takes 30 minutes or so to drive across town anyways....Then I can usually stay out of town all day and not fight so hard for batches

Computer program that takes the batches before drivers see them then they are sold. It's horrible and very frustrating to drivers who actually work hard.

I think there are way to many drivers but I also think there are other issues as well
Its the bots stealing batches leaving and unfair advantage for the ones working. I referred 87 drivers to instacart and only 4 did anything. Lazy unmotivated people out there 80 / 20 rule . Only 2 of them did 100 batches everyone else only did about 20 batches and said fk this too much work. Sad really . Got 2 referral bonuses totaling 2400 . Sp wasn't totally a waste but pretty much was considering time i invested to help all these unmotivated people. Oh well

More shoppers than ever and low rating are killer
I am 5.0 rating with 0% cancel rate and between 70 and 80 sec per item and I am still getting nothing. I'm telling you this is instacart inflating job numbers. They are trying to go public and it looks good to shareholders that you are hiring a lot of new shoppers. There is no data on how many shoppers quit.

I am glad I didn't waste my time with instacart as I make at least $100 per day if not $200 but there are some issues with each platform. I have had bad customers on instacart and you are correct there is no great way to complain but I just move on and win the next one.

I think its different in different areas and it also matters what cell provider you use. I've tested speed signals all around the stores and there are spots that are better than others. I've also gotten batches right in the lots and from 10 miles away

@@MsMimireilly my guess would be that it's because android phones are the ones that are able to be manipulated to run the bot programs. I will say this though I have noticed iPhones seem to have a quicker response time in receiving batches so I believe, other than the bot issue, it is better to have an iPhone

The way I justify it is if I can capture a few of those high dollar batches every week then I'll be able to pay for it pretty quickly plus it's a tax write off

You talked about the obvious,and none of those work,let’s talk about batches that are available in my cellphone and not in my friend cellphone,showing batches for me above 50$ and for my friend in the same location batches less than 10$,the instacart play with us and what you explain don’t help.
This video was made before the current issue that is going on with instacart. Instacart has done something to stop good batches from going to veteran shoppers. However if all things where on a level playing field then this video would absolutely help people get batches

@@starzztop So according to instacart they do however I personally believe that instacart is giving the new shoppers priority and then all the 5 star shoppers get next however most shoppers are 5 star so it really doesn't do any good. Does that make sense?

I agree with you however from the customer side if they order and it says their groceries won't be delivered for 2 days because there is so much demand then we lose too. The new people will drop off pretty soon (hopefully)

Well Jeffery I just had a guy text me thanking me for this advice as he invested in it and it greatly improved his ability to get the larger orders. If you were to get repeated orders of $70-$100 it would pay for itself pretty quickly. I recommend trying it and if it doesn't help then return it to the store you bought it from

The booster is around $500 and it let's your cell phone get better signal and in turn let's the orders arrive at your phone faster. If you are concerned about 5 G and its health affects then I would recommend not having a cell phone at all.
