My personal sniping loadout is more tailored to helping mu team while sniper some what near by the point. I use dash, sniper (duh), pyro, zap, and breach. I use pyro to block of entries or remove gas plus it makes for a clutch get away if needed. Zaps for all the reasons you use it as well as dash. And breach is for removing walls to get to different places easier or break into cash outs so it’s easier for my team to get in. That’s just my personal preference though I am thinking of switching it up a little so it focuses for on sniping then team play
Range does not effect dmg, never play light without the glitch. Also the best sniping tip is knowing how many shots before they are 1 melee from death. Example: you head shot a heavy, now they are just one body shot and a melee away from death. So after you headshot a heavy you can just dash at them and no scope melee for the easy kill.

When you said ‘aim for the neck’, you’re spot on. Took a bit to stop missing high due to muscle memory from other games.
Indeed, muscle memory especially from a game like overwatch was a huge factor
