@@larkohiya plenty of games have time limited stick-it situations where if you don't manage the countdown timer correctly, it doesn't matter if you've wiped the enemy team. Games like, counterstrike and rainbow6

But maybe I nice compromise would be slowing down the timer slightly while on capture.
Yeah the strategy of doubling up cash boxes works best if you're in first place, then if anyone steals anything you're guaranteed at least second place (assuming you don't wipe multiple times)
I was with a team that made this exact mistake. Like rupert said it only works when you're in first. I find it funny that he says he needs to focus on defending from other teams and then in the video he starts running far away from the cashout. He def didn't know what he was doing
@@dgjanes917 no, that seems to be the point. To pull this off as team 2, you need to defend the box WITH team 1. That means backing up and taking non-aggressive angles towards team 1, but being able to shoot the approaching team 3. That basically means there's about 4-5 players defending the one box. If you stay near the box, you will draw Team 1's attention and they will possibly wipe you. Give them the box, back up and let team 3/4 take aggro, and shoot at team 3/4,
Sometimes when I don’t want to face specific teams in the final match, I defend those guys and let them get a cash out to eliminate the ones I know will pose a challenge
I've seen people kill someone taking the cash out who would have stopped the game win lol the game is about strategy. If you and another team has 10,000 and there's not enough time for YOU to stop the cashout but the 3rd team is already taking it, let the game be tied 10,000 each for a chance to win on the last cashout rather than kill the guy and the game is over as there's not enough time for you to take it anyway and killing him gives it to the other team. Also, it's dumb to take on a 3 vs 1 situation with no back up. I'm not running up on a 3 Heavy team as a Light, I'm going to get shredded. I need back up and some tactics. Chuck a gas grenade play cat and mouse, split them up, make them chase me into the other team, something.
This is exactly why the game needs incentives to cash out, +1k for opening vault, +2k for inserting cash, +10k for completing cash out. Then something like +200 for each kill, -30% for a team wipe, -200 for using respawn token, +2k for preforming a steal, etc etc. The cash system could be so much more nuanced. Right now it only really matters if you're lucky enough to preform a steal in the last 5 sec, there is almost no point in holding the objective. Another option could be holding the objective slowly fills your bank over time instead of one lump sum at the end or in addition to the lump sum, which would force players to interact more with the point.
I think alternatively, there needs to be some starting bonus for coming in first the last round, it could be as little as 1k, just to encourage 1st and 2nd place to actually fight, instead of establishing an impromptu truce where they can punch down at 3rd and 4th place
Thank you for making a video on this! It felt so obvious to NOT cashout when you've already secured a top 2 spot. Or even protecting another team's cashout when another team is trying to take it which would cause you to drop out of the top spots. So frustrating when teammates don't understand that concept lol. Thanks man!
Cashout timer should pause while anyone is actively touching it for the steal. The current setup forces you to keep mindlessly pushing because you have such little time to kill everyone and then steal the cash which leaves you winning fights but still losing. If the cashout team can delay you for even 20 seconds, they will win as no one will have the time to make a teamwipe play and grab the box.
My idea was that the timer continues while you're interacting with it, but if the timer hits zero while you're touching the box, the cash out won't complete until the interaction ends one way or another.
Good to see u making alot of videos on this game. I love Apex, but it hasn't been that fun past few seasons. The Finals is just pure fun and I love it.
My team usually sets up on the cashout closest to us and let the other team get the payload. We set up and when they bring the payload we ambush them and cash it, it's been working pretty well but definitely isn't as exciting as pushing to get the payload.
I see a lot of tips in here so I’ll give one that I never see: stop being afraid to switch characters. I know light is fun and he go zoom zoom but it’s incredibly irritating to have them on every team, and having more than one means you’ll probably lose if both aren’t great players. Team comp is very important and if you want to win you’ll probably play what’s needed
Ive noticed rather than trying to get vaults and try to make it to cash out Run straight to the cashout and just wait for the cash to be delivered, then take it for your own!
I call this "basic math", there are plenty of situations fumbled by cashing a vault and creating the potential for people to win when all you have to do is survive and keep your stack. So many people running towards fights as well just hoping to get that 30% hit. Basic math helps with a lot of win lose scenarios.
This game also rewards you for paying attention to each team, on which team is really good at playing the objective and which team is trash. Observing them allows you to have an option weather to fight them in that specific situation or not. Or actually help and defend then secure the top spot and to secure 2nd. Won multiple games with this strat and it is so satisfying when the other team gets what you are trying to do and they work with you. Making the final round so much fun because each team is really good!
True, but I feel like the rewards should be increased a bit. I won a game, had the most kills and helped but only got like 120 pts but on a game where I had lower kills but a little more support and we were 2nd place I got 180 Pts I think, like wth. You should get more for winning especially if you were the best in the room or top 3 or something.

As someone else mentioned, at 7:20 the best move was to throw the cashbox away from pink's cashout station. When overtime starts, cashout stations despawn, so no one can use it other than pink. This way, orange has a good chance that they may not go to 2nd place if they steal the cashout. Then you would go defend pink's cashout to ensure brown and orange do not steal it.

I don't think it's going anywhere. It's quite popular. They just need to get some updates out as there isn't much in the game and the progression is a bit slow. I'm guessing they slowed progression so they could spread the little content further.
Your second clip is incorrect. In overtime there is only ever one cashout available. Whichever one gets placed first. Unless they put the vault in the cashout BEFORE OT then the other cashout will disappear. You could’ve left the box anywhere and just helped pink defend their cashout or stolen it yourselves. Placing that box in there did not prevent another team from starting another cashout though.
You said about the team mate throwing it in. But if you’d have waited and let someone try to open it then you’d have qualified. So you kinda threw the safe round by opening it and giving someone time to even get it to the vault
You are playing this game like you would in a poker tournment, where smaller stacks are giving up value just to try to last as long as possible and slide into 2nd or 3rd etc.
I don't understand the first part. A) grab the vault, you have 1k, if you die you have 700, if you get kills you have more. B) don't grab vault, you have 0, you die you have 0, you get kills you have less than if you got kills and took the vault. How is it better to not grab it?
instead of opening the vault and then grabbing it to hold it away from the teams, just leave it in the vault and let the cash box stay secure, the vault takes time to open and ot only begins when a cashout actually starts, so just gatekeep the vault because even if you die at 30 seconds the time it takes to open it and travel to cashout, you win. better than opening it and risking your team to get wiped and now they only need to run to the cashout
I rather have team icon than color i hope they fix that, the reason is if game is tight and I'm on 2nd place, the wise thing to do is interrupting 3rd and 4th Or if i got 3rd i will focus to 2nd team, but sometimes red and purple looks same in this messy fight also visibility in night-dust is so bad
Theory: what if stacking vaults is actually the best play? Think about it. Intuitively you would think defending the cash out against three teams instead of one is harder but these teams will also fight each other. Getting a steal of while multiple teams are contesting the cash out is way harder than stealing it from a single team. When played correctly (extremely passively, prioritizing survival over kills) this might be the best play. This would take a coordinated team though because in solo queue your team will 9 time out of 10 overextend and die. Would love to hear some of you guys opinions
I'd suggest adding "tournament" somewhere in the title cuz honestly, if I didn't play the game and someone told me I was playing it wrong I'd just think it was a complete no fun sweatfest when the game only gets a little tryhard-y on tournament mode.
If the timer ends while stealing a cash out it should go into kind of a bonus couple seconds while stealing and if you steal it the game ends after stealing and if you don’t the game ends still but it should give you that extra time. Cause being so close to stealing while the time runs out is so disheartening
Calling people who don't understand the game "idiots" is a real jerk move, friend. Its a new game and obviously its gonna take a while for people to get the hang of it.
@@iamalaser4185 I call them idiots because they understand what I’m telling them and still do it. I’m on comms. It didn’t take me long to understand this concept and I am not the smartest guy myself. I don’t expect the common world to need a video on this information. If they did, i would consider them an idiot. Jerk move? Oh well. This is basic math and time management skills
the second play makes sense but was useless in this scenario bc once the overtime cash out starts all the other cash out stations disappear. there was nowhere else to take the box
I am always frustrated by players who immediately shoot random enemy on sight while that enemy is not looking at them. Hey, I am just right in front of you probably hidden between the rubble. Why don't you just revive me while no one is watching you?
Another thing you can do which you didn't touch on here is to help the weakest team qualify, if you can dominate the game to where you're safe in 1st place then you can basically give a cashout to the weakest team in the game to help them move on and give yourself an easier time when you get to the later brackets...
Loot goblins running away with the box is my biggest problem. These guys just need to drop the box and join the fight. Otherwise it's a 2v3 with the one teammate running away. After the 2 are elimed the 3 will rush the single cash out defender. Highly aggravated with those one track mind people
Your first point is wrong you always want to tap the first vault because even if you wipe you only lose about 300 which means if you lose you have 1000 from tapping - 30% (= 700) + team wipe timer or if you win it you have 1000 + 200 from wiping the enemy team (= 1200) + the vault
That last one is not really what you want. You only want to stall and put far away until the initial time runs out. Once that happens the second cash out disappears even if there is overtime. You don’t want them to add up because if for some reason another team takes it then you automatically lose even though you were in second place. TLDR there is no benefit of doing the last think he mentions but everything else seems logical.
In addition you want to make someone get to cover further away and use the two teammates to annoy all other teams and get any wipes if they can. So to reduce their chances of winning.
This game is all about who is the best Thief. You can do all the work and then someone will judt swoop in last minute, steal it and win. I have started judt waiting and ambushing people getting a cash out rather than running around and doing all the work
I don't mind last second steals, but I think this macro strategy of helping other teams secure their win just doesn't sit right with me. Imo every team should be fighting for the top spot, but since 1st and 2nd place is pretty much identical until the grand finals, you end up helping the winning team. Putting the 3rd and 4th team at an even further disadvantage. It's interesting, but imo not healthy for the game.
The one thing I really dislike is the fact that i have to consider to intentionally throw. Like nah homes I don't want to just sit around for 3 minutes because I've already secured 1st place.
The sad thing is I think this something that's very easy to fix by just providing an incentive to stack up on money. Like imagine if your earnings carried over to the next round as a separate currency you could use to buy things like barrels/events to the turret grids. All of a sudden helping other teams secure their wins can now give them an advantage over you in the next round.
@@theresnothinghere1745 that would be a really fun mechanic to play with. They could even introduce through a new game mode maybe and test it before they go through with it in any competitive modes.
Ok, that first point of not rushing the vault isnt actually really relevant, even if you do rush it and get the 1k, you still have the same potential outcomes, you are just up 1k. In fact probably the optimal play is to get the vault, then immediately disengage.
Ok that play would be valid but you were in overtime already and cash out A despawned so there was no need to run it there just defend it from getting into anyone else's hands
This whole thing is from the start is wrong because if you respawn your wasting your credits so to try and camp the vault is pointless, because you just waste respawn credits when you need those for bomb.
Quick Question / Clarification.....If you have hold of the Cash Box (literally carrying it in-hand) am I right in saying that the box is not visible (no marker above it to be seen by other players when looking around) until you drop or throw it ???
You can see the box at all times, the difference is that when carried, it fades in and out on others screens, making it a bit harder to track, but they can still find you
That last decision was really bad actually... because by the time you came to that conclusion not only did it enable either of the 3-4th place teams the ability to replace u by stealing it which is actually really bad. On top of that when overtime rolls over, the other cash out point is removed from the map and the only current cash out in progress is available. You never had to do anything just not wipe as the other cash out point was removed already.
Forget what each game mode is called, but a lot of people don't seem to realize a three way tie is much better than losing. Let a $0 team cashout if you don't have time to stop a $40k cashout!
I know others wont agree since everyone else cares about ranked or whatever, but unranked quick cash and ranked quick cash are vastly different, therefore, not all of the information given in this video is applicable to unranked.
When I play Bankit, if I have a ton of coins and am about to be killed, I try to jump off the edge of the map so that the opposing team doesn't get closer to victory by taking me out. Taking all of those coins out with me muahahah
It's really tough playing with randoms cause literally 95% of the time they don't use mics and it's INSANE cause it's 2023 and a simple mic should be just as easy and LITERALLY just going to your local freaking gas station to buy for $20 or less. There's really no excuse in the 21st century to not have one if you're going to be playing a competitive online FPS
@cpt_choomba well I will agree that there probably a lot of insecure people that play this so could be why. But I'm just saying for a game THE THE DEVELOPERS THEMSELVES said was supposed to be 100% TEAM-BASED you'd think that people would understand that communication is everything but I guess not
It's not the mic issue, some people just don't like talking to strangers. PvP competitive games tend to be highly toxic and not everyone have energy to deal with that. I myself never use mic with strangers and only use it while playing with my friends. But I will agree with you that Finals is very teamplay-based game and playing without any communication is just not fun at all.

instead of opening the vault and then grabbing it to hold it away from the teams, just leave it in the vault and let the cash box stay secure, the vault takes time to open and ot only begins when a cashout actually starts, so just gatekeep the vault because even if you die at 30 seconds the time it takes to open it and travel to cashout, you win. better than opening it and risking your team to get wiped and now they only need to run to the cashout
I feel like the big thing here is that a lot of the time securing second place is much more important than stealing first.
Second place is good for qualifying. First place is what wins you tournaments
I have constantly told my team, let them unlock the vault then we kill them! Now I can explain why. Thanks!
I rather have team icon than color i hope they fix that, the reason is if game is tight and I'm on 2nd place, the wise thing to do is interrupting 3rd and 4th
Or if i got 3rd i will focus to 2nd team, but sometimes red and purple looks same in this messy fight also visibility in night-dust is so bad
4:38 This is why I just defend it instead of opening it. Or open it during the last 10 seconds for 1k if you really want it.
theres also things like trying to make sure teams you deem as a threat are eliminated
The only thing im doing wrong is solo queueing. I go ranked and the randoms just get dumber and dumber.
I feel you there
If the timer ends while stealing a cash out it should go into kind of a bonus couple seconds while stealing and if you steal it the game ends after stealing and if you don’t the game ends still but it should give you that extra time. Cause being so close to stealing while the time runs out is so disheartening
That last play was some big brain energy!
I’ve been trying to tell idiots on my team this since the game dropped
Calling people who don't understand the game "idiots" is a real jerk move, friend. Its a new game and obviously its gonna take a while for people to get the hang of it.
@@iamalaser4185 I call them idiots because they understand what I’m telling them and still do it. I’m on comms. It didn’t take me long to understand this concept and I am not the smartest guy myself. I don’t expect the common world to need a video on this information. If they did, i would consider them an idiot. Jerk move? Oh well. This is basic math and time management skills
Exaccttly, i thought it as much. The last-minute clutch
If the cash out is on the roof just RPG it and send it down into the building then you have cover
4:40 if you didn't activate that vault you remove any potential risk of teammates or anyone screwing up. Tldr, its not always teammates fault.
This game always make me think of the age old quote "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"
the second play makes sense but was useless in this scenario bc once the overtime cash out starts all the other cash out stations disappear. there was nowhere else to take the box
Highly aggravated with those one track mind people
I didn't know you could put two in one cashout... This whole time, I had no clue lol
most people in the finals are like zombies following shiny objects
They added Reinhardt Overwatch to the game POG
That's actually very smart!
There is so much hidden depth in this games competitive mode, it’s pretty clever
I wish they have different mode..... Rather than cash in cash out.... Love LOVE the game Mechanic and gun play tho 😍
This will only work if your playing with COMMS (and even then they might not listen) or people you know.
Great vision of the game 😊
Your first point is wrong you always want to tap the first vault because even if you wipe you only lose about 300 which means if you lose you have 1000 from tapping - 30% (= 700) + team wipe timer or if you win it you have 1000 + 200 from wiping the enemy team (= 1200) + the vault
Custom Attatchments would be nice on all guns iron sites arnt bad i mean there great but id feel better about a angled grip or 2x sight
Will there be a ranked moneyrain mode? why they only add cashout for ranked. doesnt make any sense
this is true, i let a team take the cashout then letting a team win by stopping them.
I always play to be the third party. There is always a smart team and an aggressive team.
Ok, that first point of not rushing the vault isnt actually really relevant, even if you do rush it and get the 1k, you still have the same potential outcomes, you are just up 1k.
In fact probably the optimal play is to get the vault, then immediately disengage.
Finally some one gets it. I was doing this in the beta
Really wish they have voice chat DEFAULT on and available... or even a text chat
So ranked finals is just the top two teams teaming? Dope😂
That extra cash out was pointless. All you needed to do was defend it with purple to avoid a steal since you were second.
I feel like this should be an intuitive way to play the game in the first place
Ehh this is why the regular mode is better. Played this mode once and said "never again"
You cray cray. Tournament mode is the "regular mode" it's way the game is meant to be played.
@@Mayorofsexytown1303The way the game is meant to be played is any of the available modes to select from.
@@donovanjoseph737 lol okay sure 🤡
@@donovanjoseph737 the tag line of the game is literally "reach the finals" lol
in other words
it's not only about getting enough money to qualify, it's also about making sure the other two teams don't qualify
I been playing for about 40 hours and still haven't touched this mode.
Ok that play would be valid but you were in overtime already and cash out A despawned so there was no need to run it there just defend it from getting into anyone else's hands
would be good to call out which game mode your playing ;) on quick there is not second vault ...
Now strategy for tournament finals..3v3
Opening the vault at 4:48 was useless.. no need to open it because they won't have time anyway...
This whole thing is from the start is wrong because if you respawn your wasting your credits so to try and camp the vault is pointless, because you just waste respawn credits when you need those for bomb.
Teammate got an achievement for putting money into a deposit box with less than ten seconds left
There is no wrong way to play The Finals! Game's FUN
Unfortunately content creator just live out of non-sense clickbait titles.
Wrong = suboptimal
There’s plenty of ways to do anything wrong what are you talking about? Just because you’re having fun doesn’t mean you’re not playing incorrectly
Competitive games are normally about efficiency. That's their fun. I, personally, don't find running in, shooting wildly and losing fun.
@@toxicteapot7941 me neither and everyone’s excuse is…..it’s quick play!!
Quick Question / Clarification.....If you have hold of the Cash Box (literally carrying it in-hand) am I right in saying that the box is not visible (no marker above it to be seen by other players when looking around) until you drop or throw it ???
You can see the box at all times, the difference is that when carried, it fades in and out on others screens, making it a bit harder to track, but they can still find you
It pings in blip form
@@Swagger51 Ahh ok, Cheers for the info / reply !!

@@fataldragon69 no problem :)
Too confusing. I played the open beta and found the objectives too confusing. The fighting was fine though.
Go away this is too interesting, and I'm old and don't have time for this 😂
That last decision was really bad actually... because by the time you came to that conclusion not only did it enable either of the 3-4th place teams the ability to replace u by stealing it which is actually really bad. On top of that when overtime rolls over, the other cash out point is removed from the map and the only current cash out in progress is available. You never had to do anything just not wipe as the other cash out point was removed already.
This strategy won't work on the final round.
yep just qualifying rounds :)
I mean, that's a given, this video is for people who continue to attempt cashouts while in qualifying spots with no risk to getting knocked out
How do you throw grenade on PS5 I can't find out how
This is basically the reiteration of Game Theory but more pronounced lol
Forget what each game mode is called, but a lot of people don't seem to realize a three way tie is much better than losing. Let a $0 team cashout if you don't have time to stop a $40k cashout!
I've yet to play a game where my teammates are actually working together
I know others wont agree since everyone else cares about ranked or whatever, but unranked quick cash and ranked quick cash are vastly different, therefore, not all of the information given in this video is applicable to unranked.
When I play Bankit, if I have a ton of coins and am about to be killed, I try to jump off the edge of the map so that the opposing team doesn't get closer to victory by taking me out. Taking all of those coins out with me muahahah
A.I. mode available?
It's really tough playing with randoms cause literally 95% of the time they don't use mics and it's INSANE cause it's 2023 and a simple mic should be just as easy and LITERALLY just going to your local freaking gas station to buy for $20 or less. There's really no excuse in the 21st century to not have one if you're going to be playing a competitive online FPS
Maybe people just don't want to talk with you
@cpt_choomba well I will agree that there probably a lot of insecure people that play this so could be why.
But I will agree with you that Finals is very teamplay-based game and playing without any communication is just not fun at all.
yeah Im just joking fr, but game has pings tho... not like anyone understands to act on them..😅(guys who go for a vault when a team is a deposit away from winning)@@DaVizzle_Bro
I wonder what's pink pov: yo this guy just give is a cash box for free
