Ive done a few things like jumping then sliding after the charge attack dash but to see this all explained out in FULL detail with stuff I didn’t know about is just gold, W video, def gonna sub🫡😮💨
Well done to theorize this so well. See my vids you ll see on more extra crazy things you didn t say or maybe you didn t know. With only one big hit you can hit 2 times the same guy. One time when you charge him and after overpass him you can turn round on the same movement and hit it a 2nd time. But it s like other combo, really hard to manage timing and control of all of that while being shooted by bullets :D The sword is the strongest weap and which requires the most mastery so it makes the most wonderful moves and makes sworders the master of control !
so you know after you lunge and melee there is a delay before you can swing again. You can melee and at the same time animation cancel by swiching to util and back to primary as your meleeing to instantly swing your sword again. the animation is pretty funny because it shows you swinging durring the melee attack, Its really good against heavies and mediums as it takes more than a lunge and melee to kill. but make sure you melee slightly before the cancel.
The aim assist has thrown me off before Spacing seems to be key for initiating attacks Crouching while while up against the enemy throws off their aim so hard
hope this dash+sword combo gets patched out completely. Not saying its super easy to pull off but there are so many lights out there just running crazy with this broken setup right now and if u did not pick the right loadout to counter this your just screwed

whaaaa? Why can't a melee attack swipe hit multiple targets? What is this BS? This means clumping up together is a viable way of preventing a melee from dealng damage to the guy, who's stealing? That's so cheesy! D:
Genuinely good guide video for sword. Every guide video I watch is just a 30 minute session in the practice range with little to no actual in game examples to show what they are talking about. Also good on mentioning the weakness which is also something every other guide doesnt do.
Did Patch changed 1.5.0 something? The slide jump still works after launch+dash? Path notes: Vaulting Fixed an issue where players could gain extreme speed by picking up objects that were being vaulted on Updated vaulting to feel snappier and be more aligned to ledges

There's actually a faster and more consistent way to do the one shot medium combo. Just switch the quick melee for the left click in your combo. It saves a couple frames because for some reason doing the light attack after the quickmelee cancel from lunge also cancels the startup animation of the light attack. Personally I find it easier to do as well since I can't accidentally quick melee before the left click hits. So Lunge>QuickMelee>Gadgetswap>Light attack.
@@Eidorian510 By definition you're already doing it with the normal combo. You're still using gadget swap animation cancelling, it's the same thing being applied in both cases. Just one instance is faster than the other due to the different animation times. We'll see if Embark removes animation cancelling and considers it an exploit since they did remove movement techs already. Either way, it's a game and I love seeing your skill expression so play how you like!
Only picked up the game few hours ago and found the sword... so of course I fell in love with it, but I went for stealth sword play and can definetly see now why the dash is superior. Ill definetly try this cause the swords is just a bundle of fun.

The one thing Eidoran does not say in these videos is that he would have never gotten to Diamond without a constant premade. Sword solo queue is one of the most miserable experiences you can have in this game. I have tried it time and time again because sword is fun. Problem is, no one is pushing in these games, they just stand still in a firefight. You cannot push enemies because of recon, and when you push you get beamed from all directions, especially since most fights are on rooftops. I am plat 2 and it is impossible to rank with sword as a solo queue.
how many hours that took lol I have 300h in the game and im plat 2...stuck here. Not the same mechanics as you ofc but I always end 1v3ing and I die. Constantly get bronze/silvers in team@@Eidorian510

Happy to be of inspiration. If you want to really be good, drop the stun gun and the nades, get some goo and emps. Also, I don't arm bump melee, whoever keeps teaching you kids that's what daddy is doing is lying to you.
I took that Genji part personally man - I avoided the sword because it was apart of the light class.. saw this video and passed by it. Then I saw a reaction video on the #1 sword montage video shroud approved and I was like “I have to know”

I noticed another bit of sword tech I've seen wasn't shown here. Is the double tapping left click and cancel the second swing with right click lunge doing a weird force hit in the middle of the combo actually good or just fancy?

Those changes were to stop Prop Surfing and Supergliding. They shouldn't affect the Sword or Dash
