- In 2016 I made a video on another channel where I made Mark Hamill into Frieza from Dragon Ball Z, but I didn't know how to edit back then. I finally got around to remaking it! Here is Mark Hamill playing Frieza! (Special guest appearance from Kevin Conroy as Goku)
Audio clips from:

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
Batman: Arkham City
Batman: Arkham Knight
Original video (the bad version):

After Christopher Owen Ayres's death which was a sad tragedy, Freiza voice can be perfectly fitted by Mark Hamill 👍
While I think Hamill's Joker voice fits Frieza, I still think Ayer's understudy and replacement Daman Mills is actually perfect, considering how he did MOST of the Frieza voice work for Super instead of Ayers himself. I didn't even recognise the difference. That's perfection. Though this could be awesome too, but since Frieza's character is a lot more "refined" than "tyrant" nowadays, I don't know if the Joker voice would be able to convey his calmer demeanour in modern DB.
I still think Linda Young is untouchable.
@@ultrainstinct4060, honestly, hearing clips of his Revival of F performances, I genuinely hated it. It felt so watered down and it just irked me.

"That's not funny..." as he gets cut into pieces was way funnier than I expected. Ironic.
Mark Hamill's Joker voice really takes the Frieza character from aloof OP villain to sinister psychopath and I think it does wonders for the character. Perhaps this Frieza would have played an elaborate demented game to eliminate the Saiyans instead of merely blowing up their planet

Bro Mark Hamill AND Kevin Conroy as Frieza and Goku is something I never thought I’d ever see and I love it!!!
That Mask of the Phantasm choir really makes Freiza's death much more dramatic.
Mark Hamill's joker voice technically does work. Maybe its the lines but it creates a much more ominous air around Frieza which I didn't even think was possible. Frieza as written is already imposing, this delivery though is of a person who already knows how dominating they are and revels in others' helplessness since he's so strong physically he can play on others mentally - This Frieza wants to watch you struggle in vain in a hopeless attempt to defeat him just for the fun of it. That be so disturbing; It honestly adds a whole new dimension to the character.
The only problem I have with Mark Hamill's deliveries is that he doesn't really do 'class' when he does his Joker voice. Is there an air of it? Yes, but it's always leaning towards the satirical. Joker's sadism is thinly veiled, if at all at times.
Chris Ayers' deliveries (may he rest in peace) on the other hand perfectly encapsulate what Frieza is: a megalomaniacal tyrant, always polite but never genuine. Cleverly hiding his sadism through dry wit and pleasantries until you push him far enough to remove the façade. Which, to be fair, isn't really that difficult, just a poor choice for the average life expectancy. Even when Frieza is being utterly direct about how he is going to kill you in the worst way possible, Chris Ayers was still able to deliver those lines with enough poise that the lines went from intimidating to downright chilling (pun fully intended).
Don't get me wrong, Mark's VA talent is equally as good as Chris'. To try and put either on different levels is, quite frankly, both disrespectful and an act of futility. That being said, each definitely has/had their own niche, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I wholly agree with this.
Also probably helps that Freeza doesn't sound like a fat little girl anymore.

1:39 it couldn't be more perfect even if the dialogue was originally written for this scene. That's crazy, nice job!
I've learned 2 things from this.
Mark's joker voice makes Freezer ten times more threatening.
And the laughter at 1:11 makes me realise how fitting mark would be for a modern Golden Bat.
👓 Funny that the '79 iteration of Golden Bat is a partial knock-off Batman and someone, himself if I'm not mistaken, laughs like Hamill Joker, who's actual-Batman's arch-nemesis from later, the 90's. Golden Bat is little-known additionally, as if the preceding wasn't enough!
Omg Kevin conroy as Goku pretty epic for those that don't know where that scene " you know what's funny , even after everything you done , I still would have saved you" was from Batman Arkham city. Awesome game. But that line fit so perfectly with Goku and frieza.
I didn't realize how perfectly these voucelines fit. I love it.
This was my childhood best era of DBZ
Mark Hamill's villain acting is so good, it would lift the entire series to another level quality-wise. It would change the way the other characters interacted with Frieza and move the show from campy action to serious drama. Now would be the perfect time to introduce him, since a new arc is beginning and the original Frieza is dead.
Huh?
"You know what's funny? Even after everything you did, I still would've saved you." "Heh heh heh, that actually is funny." I could genuinely see that as a real conversation between them there. It also would've fit in my opinion.
You know, I think that voice is pretty good for SSJ Goku
1:11 Freiza hit em w that Doffy laugh
Due to the sad passing of Chris Ayres, Funimation will more than likely be looking for a new VA. Maybe it is too soon, but realistically speaking, the team in Japan isn't going to give up on Freeza because of this unfortunate passing. Funimation will need to have an English dub VA for Freeza. After seeing this, it would be a wasted opportunity to not even consider Mark Hamill. This is absolutely amazing.
Why does this work so well. Joker Frieza confirmed. Imagine Mark Hamilton voice acting as the new Black Frieza the true menace of evil

Probably the best villain VA ever. Voiced Joker for 30+ years, Ozai in Avatar, arguably the best animated series ever. And he played one of the most iconic live action heros in Luke Skywalker, showing how versatile his skill set is both as an actor and voice actor.
1:16 if Dragon Ball had more of a psychological angle / writing like this, that could make this show SO friggin’ cool, and for more compelling bad-guys
I had an idea about a human that hates the z fighters and particularly Goku for all the world ending threats they attract to earth. They train ludicrously or develop some way to stand on even ground with them or fight smart (all 3?). Then I realized it’s just fkn Batman v Superman haha
I still think that plot would work better in DB than it did in the movie. It would add a grey morality to a villain since it’s often very black and white, a different fighting style that’s more like solving a problem instead of punches in bunches and ki blasts, and the lower tier characters would have a chance to shine.
