She never said she loved the band and knew all their songs, she just used it because it was very popular among Grunge people. She also never said she was grunge, this is only a grunge inspired tutorial, she makes tons of tutorials for tons of different looks. I think a "grunge" look would be almost no makeup. The whole point is not caring. If she had stopped after the first eyeshadow (camel) and the first lipbalm, I think it'd look more "grunge". If it were me (and yes, I know it's not me), I'd put on a base and throw on some dark eyeliner and smudge it around a little. Add a flannel shirt, old band t-shirt, jeans and converse sneakers or beat up boots, don't shower for two or three days, and that's basically the grunge look I know and love. The lip color in particular is so dark. It's more Halloween-y than grunge when all's said and done. Anyway, I like the look. Just don't think it's "grunge".

I remember a few years ago saving this video to a playlist because I wanted to create this look someday. Back then I didn’t have any makeup. I was smaller and my parents wouldn’t buy me makeup. Now I’m 18 and I have a collection of makeup. Looking back made me realize how happy I am to be able to buy my own makeup and truly love it.

Actually, blush was not a part of the look. Only some smudged eyeliner, mascara and lipstick (and a bit of foundation of course). Everything else is extra. Also, lipstick was not that glossy.

Chokers, no. Flannels yes. Flannels have always been grunge. But not the small, tight flannels that kids wear today. These are the large, oversized, XXXL flannels. The flannels around the waist trend was created in the grunge movement two decades ago. Flannels were not popular before Grunge. Chokers are just a 90's trend in general. It's not oriented to Grunge.
The flannel that I have was taken out of my dads closet and its 2 sizes too big. I love it.

I remember a few years ago saving this video to a playlist because I wanted to create this look someday. Back then I didn’t have any makeup. I was smaller and my parents wouldn’t buy me makeup. Now I’m 18 and I have a collection of makeup. Looking back made me realize how happy I am to be able to buy my own makeup and truly love it.

Actually, blush was not a part of the look. Only some smudged eyeliner, mascara and lipstick (and a bit of foundation of course). Everything else is extra. Also, lipstick was not that glossy.
