You picked a good day to shoot this video - the overcast sky looks similar to how it does in the film. I liked that aspect a lot because it’s authentically dreary, and there’s a certain comfort in that for me at least. It was cool to see these places in a more realistic context, so thank you!!
This video is so important to me. It's like a homage. You've created something that is so organic; almost like an extension of the film itself rather than an imitation.
Lily Chou Chou is my second favorite film, only second to Love Letter (both directed by Shunji Iwai). Wasn’t expecting to find this in my recommended. Awesome job! This is such a sublime video.
Im sure the trip felt surreal just as the movie and the rain at the end adding to the melancholy. This memory will linger. Circling back every once in awhile.
This has such a nostalgic vibe! Loved it! Just so you know, you reached a human in a small town in mexico, and made him wonder, imagine and relate through your nonverbal comments. Greetings!
hey there, i’m really happy i was able to reach you! it’s surreal to me that i can have a little connection with someone so far away through this video, but i’m grateful for it. hope all is well in your town, and thanks for stopping by :)
Ah... So nostalgic. My friends and I really like Shunji Iwai's movies, especially Lily, Love letter, and Hana Arisu. Feeling so old. It's so quiet and peaceful there, it's really nice to take a walk, especially if you like being alone Www.
Wow that was a huge amazing video! I think small channels like you needs more attention, and i'm happy to see the lily chou chou fan exploring the movie locations!:)
Every once in a while I watch videos about lily chou chou and in each new video that box becomes more and more rusted lol Also thanks for giving us new lily chou chou content in 2024! A nice way to end the year
This randomly popped up in my feed and even tho i dont get the context of the video, i really liked it😭 its like a beautiful piece of art and YOU'RE GAINING A SUBSCRIBER!!💗🌷
Thank you for your hardwork and for posting this dude. The place is so beautiful and peaceful, i hope when one day i come to visit the place wouldn't change.
This really was so refreshing to watch, I loved the way you arranged the video and the songs, I especially loved the song transitioning from Mitski to Salyu and when you recreated some of the scenes.. for some reason it felt so nostalgic. It's a wonderful video really, I'm glad it was recommended on my fyp, I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
5:30 awww that running bit was so heartwarming for some reason.. especially with clair de lune in the background ..it must have felt freeing in a way i guess ? It was during covid that I got into Shunji Iwai's movies with lily chou chou being the first and the most haunting movie I've ever seen :'] Of course Iwai is my favourite director now ..hana and alice being my #1 but it's so great to see lily fans go out of their way to relive the moments of their favourite movie ! Nice video man ! I wanna do that tooo 😭😭
indeed the running bit was fun! i’d say it felt even more freeing when i ended up having to run in the pouring rain haha. i’ve heard so many good things about hana and alice now that i gotta watch it!
@omelait honestly dude you definitely should ! It's a completely different vibe from lily chou chout tho lol Hana and Alice April story Picnic Last letter Love letter They're all great !

I love the cloudy weather-like texture of this video. Which camera did you use to shoot it?
ty! i mainly use the sony hdr-cx405 handycam. one of the few camcorders i could still find in store.
The gloomy weather made it so perfect!!! 💖

This video gives same feelings like the movie ✌🏻 I love it ❤️❤️❤️
I was in just in Japan and I thought about doing the same but the group I went with held me back from going to Ashikaga. Next time!
I'm all the way in NY, so just a day here would bring me so much alleviation
جمال اشيكاغا والتصوير وإظهار الهدوء واختيار الموسيقى ، لقد جذبتني كل هذه الأشياء.

this was an amazing video tysm for making it, felt very cozy.
also; does the weather ever opens up in that place? lol
it may or may not be perpetually cloudy lol (tho to be fair it was rainy season when i went)
@@omelait maybe it makes sense for it to be a rice plantation area then, since it needs to be very wet
That's enough social media today, I feel refreshed ☺️
Thanks for the journey
I loved shooting and directing the video >< nice clip
do you have the location of the small neighbourhood sunflower field by any chance? great video btw!
