  • Ever wondered what to photograph in Scotland?
Do you want to photograph Breath taking Mountains, or capture EPIC dramatic landscapes full of mood and atmosphere?
Then join me, my Nikon Z7ii and my ropey old van on my Landscape Photography adventures as we explore the Mighty Quiraing on the Trotternish Ridgeline, Isle of Skye in Scotland.
A beautiful ICONIC vista that is one of the must see, honeypot locations, that will be a memory seared into your mind forever.
It's cold and it's windy and the clouds roll in and out over these classic compositions, making for some AMAZING LIGHT! They may not be unique compositions, but the conditions always are, as I hunt down the perfect angle for what I thought was the Cleat.... How wrong was I !
    00.00 - Introduction
00:30 - Information about the area
00:45 - I think the Cleat is not where it is.
    02:33 - Not the Cleat, image 1
03:59 - 2 images of The CLEAT! With the classic Quiraing hanging tree.
04:55 - Photo of the Cleat and amazing sun rays!
06:20 - Working the angles, Not the Cleat images 2&3
07:07 - The CLEAT, image 3 with wonderful light
07:46 - Working the angles, Not the Cleat image 4
08:48 - Working the angles, Not the Cleat, over the road view images 5&6
10:17 - Working the angles, Not the Cleat image 7
11:57 - Picking my favourite angle to photograph from.
    Thanks!
    Steve

At least you knew it was called the Cleat in the end! I've take the shot with the little tree loads of times and didn't know what the hill was called 🙂

Lol, makes a change tbh, normally I can't remember my own name let alone where I am 😆😆

Looks like my van was parked next to yours, I think I remember seeing you filming yourself that morning. FYI, the hill is just called Cleat, no 'The' 😉, and the one you kept calling 'The Cleat', is Cnoc a' Mhèirlich, also known as The Sharks Fin.
