  • Ever wondered what to photograph in Scotland?
Do you enjoy long exposure waterfall photography, or capturing EPIC dramatic scenery?
Then join me, my Nikon Z7ii and my ropey old van on my Landscape Photography adventures as we explore Fada Falls, a beautiful cascade with the ICONIC backdrop of the Old Man Of Storr on the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
I have to suffer the elements, and disappointments, in the search of classic and new compositions in conditions that range from AMAZING LIGHT! to rain, fog and the bitter cold. But this is how I get the classic photographs with the best light, and how to get unique photographs in honeypot locations, effort, perseverance and exploration. A little bit of running around like a headless chicken often helps to lol.
00.00 - Introduction and drone footage
00:46 - How far is it from the car park to Fada Falls
01:42 - Arriving at the Falls
02:17 - Settings for waterfall photography for the first composition
03:35 - Image 1, Fada Falls with Old Man Of Storr backdrop
04:04 - Some photographic failures, 2 images with fog cover
06:19 - Photographing the waterfall and settings for streaking water
06:54 - Images of Fada Falls
07:46 - Here comes the light!, mad dash back
09:30 - The images with some well deserved light!
10:00 - Unique composition - The Trotternish Ridge and the Old Man of Storr
    Thanks!
    Steve

The beauty and misery of Scottish weather wrapped up in a lovely 10 minute slice of video. Really enjoyed the video again Steve. 👍

It's proper name is Bride's Veil Fall's, I suppose Fada Falls is better than nothing though.
