I just pulled my peach butter out of the water bath. Tomorrow I’ll start just peaches. I was looking for a refresher and ran across this channel. I love it. In a world full of crazy, the only thing keeping my soul intact is my garden and canning. I think I’d lose it if not for this.
I LOVE your stove!! I’ve never made peach butter but will be soon. I so enjoy watching your channel! I canned 6 pints of salsa today-thanks to all the tomatoes and peppers from our garden.
Thanks Donna! Xoxoxo, oh , salsa sounds great, my tomatoes are still green, I have alot coming on, I planted late, due to weather, but I cant wait to can some up! God Bless, xoxoxo
Just want you to know that I used your instructions on canning peaches today and they turned out beautiful..and they all sealed!!! I took the peelings and made some peach jelly. It turned out great also. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been crazy watching your videos since I discovered your channel. I LOVE them. Every one I’ve watched and re-watched is great. I’m 78. I love to cook and bake. I’ve been at it for over 50 years, but you know the old saying, “you’re never too old to learn”, it’s so true.
Hi Lori. I made your peach butter for the 1st time yesterday. It came out great. Thank you. 😊 Ps I also loved hearing the birds singing in the background. 🐦
Miss Lori, I have started watching all of your videos. And I just love watching you and Mr Brown. My grandparents were from Arkansas and Oklahoma and so I learned from both. Watching you brings me back to the good old days that I should have paid more attention to!

Hi Lori, I love Saturday mornings when I enjoy my coffee and catch-up on my sweet friend's videos! This is glorious!! And so perfect for right now. We have a bumper crop of peaches here in the Hill Country so I am always looking for delicious things to make and I am loving your peach butter!! I have made apple and pear butter but can your believe - I have never made peach butter!! Well, thank to you...that is about to change!! Thanks again for all you share!! I learn so much from you!! @@WhippoorwillHoller - I know what you mean! I fall so behind...especially now in these summer months where there is so much to do with all the fresh food! I am only putting out 2 videos per week so I can stay on top of all my other chores!! LOL!! Have a great weekend!! Love and God Bless, Mary
Hi Lori! I try to watch all your videos. I am a home canner from way back. Please share more ideas for home canning. People need to know how easy and rewarding it really is! Love your videos!

If you look in the description box below video, recipes should be there I'm working on a cookbook, will take a least a year , but it will have my canning recipes, xoxoxo
Good idea for using peels. I make apple butter, but have never had peach butter. I have a lot of peaches this year again. Southern Oregon is high desert, and peaches, pears, figs etc. grow well here. My favorite peaches are Red Havens. Sweet and juicy and blushed red. Liquid sunshine. Elberta is good to can, peels easily and is not as sweet. Hales are very large and sweet. All are freestone. Peaches don't like wet feet. The neighbor's runoff killed one of the trees. My Red Haven got leaf curl, and I had to hand pick all the bad leaves off. It stimulates new leaf growth, and the tree still put off a lot of peaches. Maybe it was the added egg shell powder or the weather, but this year, miraculously, there was no Leaf Curl fungus. I have to get better at thinning, as the loaded branches break if unsupported. Learning to prune for strength and other Orchard care takes time to learn, as I fit it into keeping up the inside and outside of my small batch residential farm. Thanks for sharing your canning tips and the recipes!
Thank you for video I made peach butter and canned peaches using your instructions and I’m in love with the peach butter. Thank you❤️❤️❤️ and I love your cook stove!!!
I took a short break from standing doing PEACHES! Such good timing! I have so many peaches this year. I have been just canning up jars with syrup but now I sure am going to try your peach butter. Thank you so much. It is always a pleasure watching your videos. I am so happy to see how many subscriptions you have now. If it keeps growing like this maybe you and Mr. Brown can retire early! Wouldn't that be somethin!
Mama used to put us three oldest girls around a big wash tub full of water and peaches to peel them. We always had so much fun. Didn’t seem like work at all. I love you, and your videos!
I save all of your recipes, Ms. Lori....We don't get fresh off the tree peaches here...our climate is too cool, but some of the local farmers have some flown in during summer time, so it's the next best thing. I dehydrated mine this year, but now that I have this recipe, this is one I'll look forward to doing next summer. You make my heart feel at ease, sweet Soul..I just wanted you to know that! xo
OMGoodness-you have your cook stove showing.. Woohoo.. It is lovely.. I am very happy for you.. 💖 Mr. Brown was a gem for putting it in.. You peaches turned out beautiful. Thanks to taking us along and for the beautiful fireworks..

Oh my goodness! Mom and I made the peach butter today, tried a little before we canned it!! So good!! Thank you for sharing!! On to canning peaches now!!
Somehow I KNEW you would mention Campbell, MO peaches!!!!! I live 8 miles from Campbell! I love your videos!!!! Your home can’t be far from us!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely fantastic peach butter! We made some with your recipe last year (didn’t make enough). We tried it to make milkshakes and oh my lord it’s amazing. Thanks for sharing your recipe. 😊
Love applebutter, peachbutter would be good to.Love your recipe's reminds me of my grandmothers. My family are from Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee, Carolinas,Missouri, even some in Texas. All good cooks. Thank you.
Must of been lovely sat there peeling those big fat juicy peaches while day dreaming and listening to the birds singing outside. Can't think of a better morning. Peaches are so yummy. Kids really enjoyed the fireworks and so did I. Big kid at heart. Thanks for a great video and wow love the new stove. That is really posh. X
Great video, I love processing peaches every year. We can the peaches, make jelly and syrup (great on pancakes) from the peels, and if you crack the pits and put the kernels in alcohol you get almond extract. I look forward to making your peach butter recipe next year. Thank you.
Its 90 deg here in NY today, I was out gardening earlier. Nows a good time to sit in the AC and watch some videos 💜 i didnt know simple syrup was so simple 😀 I hope to can peach butter and peaches this summer.
Hello Lori, I’m intrigued by Stack Cake, it sounds very interesting, especially when peach butter goes on it. 😋 Your home is so lovely and your canned peaches and peach butter look delicious. Happy 4th July Loved the kids reactions to the wild fireworks 🎇
I just made your peach butter recipe and oh my goodness-most amazing tasting peach butter I have ever eaten! I also made some peach corn salsa, and am going to boil the peels for jelly. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Mrs Lori, Good news for you. I found a recipe that is approved for peach butter. It's very similar only they have 4 cups sugar rather than 3.5. My peaches are so sweet , I didn't need the extra half cup Delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe
@@WhippoorwillHoller You mentioned Peach Dumplin's in your video. Would LOVE to see the recipe for that dessert. BTW, the approved recipe is in the Ball Blue Book Guide to Preserving on page 45. My daughter called an reported that this is the best thing she's ever eaten. She is contacting her coworkers, offering to take their peaches off their hands in exchange for a jar of butter. The girl is motivated!!
Yes please, I'd like to see a video for your stack cake. Thank you so much for sharing all your goodies!! God bless you and Mr. Brown!!! Your peaches look so good!! I'm heading into the kitchen to can some peaches now.

Thank you for the peach butter recipe, I'm making peach jam today, and wanted to try peach butter, so thank you so much!! And your stove is too fabulous!!!
I don’t blanch either😊. Peel with a knife. I make peach jelly from the peelings. Love that new cookstove💕. We live in a small log cabin and hope to have one in the future. Great video!! God bless yall❤️
Happy to meet you! We love our little cabin! Retirement soon! I've been wanting a wood cook stove for my cabin ever since we built it, it reminds me of my grandmothers, we just never could afford a new one, we found this one, couldn't pass the price up, so woohoo, he got it for me! Xoxoxo
Came across this video last week. Mrs. Lori I have never heard of it before but it is so good. So I cheated a bit. I never peal my peaches but this time I did. I used my pealings and added peaches to them. My husband loved it. I never save my pealings we don't care for peach jelly so Sue our hog gets them until tonight. Sorry Sue😂😂😂
Those peaches looked so good. That is my favorite fruit. Peach cobbler is delicious. Loved this video. My Momma would freeze a lot with sugar and my kids would eat them halfway defrosted and they still talk about it. She has passed now and now we think of her during peach season.
I take a small pair of needle nose pliers and poke into the stem end. Grab the pit and do half a twist and pulls right out. Pitted 50 peaches in 5 minutes. Then drop in boiling water for 2 min. Peeling comes right off
Thankyou for teaching us how to make canned peaches and peach butter. and giving us the recipe. I really appreciate your sharing with us. Also, it was fun watching the fireworks with you all. May the Lord Bless you and your family always.
Lori Happy 4th to you and your family. Thanks for the peach butter and syrup recipes. My husband and I are just learning to can so I’m grateful for your videos. I’d love to see the recipe for a stack cake! Thank You!
I never made peach butter, but it looks delicious! Loved the fireworks display at the end! We don’t get to see one here unless we go into town to the casinos. Too much fire danger. God bless!
The only thing better, to me, than canning apples is a bunch of jars of canned peaches! To me, homemade canned peaches are just BEYOND anything and everything. Although I DO have a question, Miss Lori. What's the difference between peaches that are canned, and peaches that are preserved? I always assumed those words were used interchangeably, but something you said...and I don't remember now what it was...made me think that there was a difference between the two processes. But boy...did those look good! They are just BEAUTIFUL! And thank you so much for sharing the beautiful fireworks! That was an unexpected treat. God bless, girl!
As soon as I heard you talking I thought she sounds like my friend that I grew up with in Georgia who had moved from Arkansas and lo and behold I noticed your shirt looked like it had the state Arkansas on it so I knew ❤️
I know this video is a couple years old but we were down in Campbell this weekend to pickup a propane tank from my brother-in-law and we stopped in camp elk for peaches. I’m canning them today while I watch your video
Another nice and simple recipe so my mind can handle it. I love your stuff. You should make your own cooking and canning recipes. Love all your cool bowls an cups and utensils. Love you guys your very up lifting. God Bless😘💕😋
Hey sweet lady! I was blessed to have gotten these, they came from Campbell, Missouri, they are the best, about 20 dollars a bushel. we have been looking for a woodcook stove, we were both brought up with them, but too expensive, Mr. Brown, found this one on a online yard sale, and it was just a few miles from us, it has not been used very much, big firebox, water reservoir, about 20 years old, but good condition, 500.00! Couldn't pass it up! Xoxoxo
I really enjoy your channel. It puts me back in touch with my own roots. I don't can or make jelly/jams too much any more. But if I do go ahead with putting up peaches, I hate to waste the peels. So, like you, I put together my own recipe or my own way of doing peach butter. I chop them up real fine and put them in a pot with whatever juice I can spare from the peaches ( and any syrup leftovers). I let them simmer as slowly as possible for a long while, tasting and stirring every so often. As they soften and thicken up, I add more sugar as necessary and season with whatever spices strike my fancy, cinnamon & nutmeg being my favorites and sometimes cardamom and or black pepper. When it seems thick enough, I'll blend it if the peels are too noticeable and then process them. This usually makes a very dark butter and it's very tasty. And I feel like I got an extra product almost for free!
@@WhippoorwillHoller what kind of stove is it? I'm looking for one, but they're so expensive. We have a King wood stove that the lid comes up on, that we can cook on, but I want an actual cooking stove in my dinning room as well. Also for extra heat, we have to run the propane for back up heat, but I'd like to just heat 100% with wood.
My mom saved her peels and used them in a number of ways to boost flavor of the simple syrup to intensify the peach preserves, peach layer cake fillings. My grandmother did it to boost her canned peaches (which shs often used in peach cobblers at Thanksgiving)! I certainly do remember the juice running down my arms to my elbows!!! But it was a small price to pay since you got to nick some pieces. My mom ALWAYS cut her pieces into traditional wedges (peaches, apples, plumbs, etc.) for canning and certain deserts. My mom was the fastest paring knife in the West LOL! And always perfect consistent sizes whether slicing or dicing or cutting up anything ... fruits veggies. I could never match her in speed or perfection. One has to give. I can be perfect, or I can be fast, but not both. She cooked with the same spot-on consistency. That I can manage. My mom and mamaw were both sewers & quilters and their needlework had the same speed and perfection! Again I am good but not best! And in their day quilts were all hand sewn/pieced and hand quilted (no machine-done seamwork on her quilt tops (and flawless! ). I'll never best them!
Love, Love, wonderful memories! Your mama and mama were talented, skillful woman, not much of that anymore, your words are a blessing to me, Thank you, God Bless, xoxoxo
I have never heard of peach butter. Can't wait to see the process. I know your channel is going to be interesting. Please put the other recipe up too. Those peaches look so scrumptious.
Yum yum..looks awesome. .love your stove! We'd have blackberry or strawberry dumplings most of the time and make a pone of just self rising flour and milk bread in a pie pan slap abunch of butter in it . Sop up the juice with them oh my oh my..I'm having blackberry dumplings and pin bread for breakfast in the morning now...lol love ya
I put our peach butter in my jellyroll recipe! I make all different kinds of jelly rolls.I’m going to try your stack cake. It sound wonderful! My mom used to peach and apple peeling jams.

I save my peels to, can use in smoothies, cut up and add to pies ect.
Edie Boudreau oh that's a good idea
Luca Peyrefitte thank you

I am going Tuesday to pick up two 25lb boxes of peaches. Will make jelly to sell at our roadside market. Your stove is beautiful!
Oh sounds wonderful, good luck, hope you sell out ! Xoxoxo
Those peaches looked so good. That is my favorite fruit. Peach cobbler is delicious. Loved this video. My Momma would freeze a lot with sugar and my kids would eat them halfway defrosted and they still talk about it. She has passed now and now we think of her during peach season.
Oh , I know, I love half frozen sugared peaches! Xoxoxo
I just made a triple batch of your peach butter as it is so incredibly delicious! Thank you for the recipe! ♥️
I’m so happy for you, your stove is indeed beautiful!
I have two peach trees and they are going to have a lot of peaches. Thanks for the recipe I will be using them.
All the time I was growing up, we always boiled our peaches a few minutes to slip the skins off to put up sliced or 1/2's or peach butter. Yum!
You are such a blessing..youre the aunt i never had..thanks for giving me the courage to so this
Awe! I would be blessed to your aunt! Xoxoxo
Looked for our grapes. Will soon be ready for jellies and jams soon. Hope can get some peach pie filling going very soon.
Everything looked beautiful, I absolutely love your wood cook stove 😍
I'm not sure what I enjoyed more the canning video or kids joy watching the fireworks. Thanks for sharing.
Lori Happy 4th to you and your family. Thanks for the peach butter and syrup recipes. My husband and I are just learning to can so I’m grateful for your videos. I’d love to see the recipe for a stack cake! Thank You!
Thanks Jaye! I'm going to make the stack cake next week, watch for the video! God Bless, xoxoxo
Good question
It means the same thing
Preserving food, canning food, preserving, could be canning, fermenting, dehydrating, freezing
, xoxoxo
As soon as I heard you talking I thought she sounds like my friend that I grew up with in Georgia who had moved from Arkansas and lo and behold I noticed your shirt looked like it had the state Arkansas on it so I knew ❤️
I know this video is a couple years old but we were down in Campbell this weekend to pickup a propane tank from my brother-in-law and we stopped in camp elk for peaches. I’m canning them today while I watch your video
I missed out on peaches this year,
Hope you got some good ones!
Another nice and simple recipe so my mind can handle it. I love your stuff. You should make your own cooking and canning recipes. Love all your cool bowls an cups and utensils. Love you guys your very up lifting. God Bless😘💕😋
Thank you so much, your kind words touches me. Xoxoxo
This look so delicious, I would love to have peaches, but they are so expensive here. Thank you sweet friend for sharing this today, blessings
I love your new stove, I wish we were able to have one. The fireworks were beautiful
Xoxoxo
@@WhippoorwillHoller oh wow what a blessing, so proud for you and it looks brand new. I know you are so very proud
Thank you so much, xoxoxo , I keep my peelings and make vinegar, peach vinegar makes the best vinaigrette, xoxoxo
Love the cookstove.
Thank you
Show it off some more, girl, it's beautiful!
Thanks Jenny! It's about 20 years old, in good condition, and I just love it, it reminds me of the one we had growing up! Xoxoxo
Hi Lori, I'm in Oklahoma. I thought I would tell you, the Indians call the grape or blackberry dumplings, purple dumplings. Love your videos! 💕
No matter what they are called I l love them thanks for watching
Yes, grape dumplins came from the Indian heritage, xoxoxo
I enjoy watching your video
