  • In this episode of The Little Things, we go on an adventure in the distant land of Hyrule and discover the Collectibles, Merchandise and Toys of the 35-year-old The Legend of Zelda Nintendo video game series. For many people, From the original NES game, to The Ocarina of Time, to the Breath of the Wild, The Legend of Zelda is THE game series that they think of when it comes to adventure in a fantastic world filled with ancient ruins, terrible monsters, and wonderful treasures. Many people have slipped into the boots of Link, the silent, elf-like protagonist of the series to defeat great evil, rescue the Princess Zelda, and sometimes just get lost in a vast, spell-binding world. Each new entry into the series feels like seeing an old friend again and go out and have a good time. While there was merchandise available at different frequencies and at different times, the availability was spotty at best until about the last decade or so. So put on your boots, strap on your sword, and find a place to store those dozens of items and treasures as we look at all the stuff that went with this beloved game series.

Thanks for watching. The Legend of Zelda was (and still is) one of my favorite video game lines and it brings back great memories, including all the associated merchandise.

Will never forget…was off work for 30 days due to medical issues back in 89’ - completed Nintendos The Legend of Zelda! Took a total of 135 attempts 😮❤

Ha! Well, they were obscure, badly translated, and still working the kinks out in terms of leading the player, or giving them quality hints about where to go and what to do. I still loved it. Zelda is one of my greatest Christmas memories. Thanks for the comment!

Me too. I just went through Tears of the Kingdom and liked it a lot. Zelda games and Christmas go together for me, and I always try to get the Zelda if I can. Thanks for watching.

Nice video. So much stuff I wasn't even aware of. Can't take my eyes off that second board game. It makes me wonder why no-one's ever thought to make an actual _Zelda HeroQuest game_ or even why that game was never released outside Japan. It's in English, for goodness sake! 😂 I know plenty of people who'd go crazy for that.

Absolutely! I thought the same thing, that if the game was in English, they had to have released it in the US, but everything online said it was a Japan exclusive. I think it would have gone over great in the U.S. A Legend of Zelda D&D "Lite" kind of board game is brilliant. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
