Beautiful painting but I miss the real time tutorials
Amazing as always! I’ve noticed your smaller paintings are on canvas boards. Are your larger 40x30 paintings on canvas boards or stretched canvas?
Hello again Sir. I was just wondering why you started with the foreground instead of the background? I'm not sure if I could go from front to back and then again. Would love to hear your thoughts on this. Once again. Thank you for sharing. Really getting into your style.
I notice that in some of your paintings, you paint the subject, like the elk here before you paint background elements, as you did with the trees in this painting. Most artists start from the far back and move forward when painting (as I tend to do) is there a reason that you choose to skip an element, and go back to it later? Just wondering. I don’t there is a wrong or right way, just picking the brain of a fellow artist. 😊
Well, I think I see it all as one the more that I paint. That said, the divide between the brush and the elk's body is really simple in this painting, so it didn't matter to me. That might not be the case if it were a more complex subject.
Absolutely stunning painting. And what oilpaints do you use?
