Interesting testing! Maybe you mentioned it and I missed it, but you can always double (or how ever many you desire) the loop through the clamp to get higher currents in to the meters if you were going for the max range on them. I doubt two or three loose loops would generate any impedance and effect the results.

Yes, I have a Transmille current clamp table that does that so I can reach the higher current levels. That will be in Part 2.

Thanks, entertaing + resourcefull as always. Strage the Testo is performing not so good.

Yes, the Testo 770-3 did not have too good a response, and it does appear to be a reasonably well regarded manufacturer, so not sure why.

Fast becoming one of my favourite channels and working through the back catalogue, o thought I was a test gear junky but your collection makes me look like a dabbler

@@jamieblatantsparky 25 years as a test engineer does that to you. Should throw out when I upgrade really.

In regards to 5:15 You can always ZERO/RESET your inrush reading with the REL/ZERO button, so you don't have to cycle the "function button" numerous times.
At least in my Habotest HT208D unit I'm able too, so it would surprise me if you can't on the Kaiweets.

Thanks! I thought there would be a quick way, but nothing in the manual. I will give the REL/ZERO button a go.

A shame you don't show your current-pulse setup, so people atleats can relate to the circumstances that are used to test these meters.
Can often be helpful for viewers, not least if any of your subscribers would wanna replicate and share their data... then its helpful to get insight into other peoples test approach and the specific circumstances they got their data under.. specific tools used for the current injection and the issues their were facing, and if you found some pulse-ms sweetspot where you saw best results.

The test setup was shown in a previous video; ua-cam.com/video/2LXlL2-VFks/v-deo.html
I try to keep the videos under 20 minutes, for the time taken to upload and longer videos don't get watched, hence why the higher current tests are in the next video.
In hindsight, I probably should have put the test setup as part 1 and then this as part 2 and the higher currents as part 3.
      Thanks for watching and commenting.

I feel like Im missing something and dont understand what your testing. Are you not compairin/ testing DC inrush?
11:04 DC injected but meter was left in AC mode
    Testo
12:12 DC injected but meter was left in AC mode
    UniT
12:54 DC injected but meter was left in AC mode
    HT
15:38 DC injected but 15:28 meter was switched to DC and got proper reading
Why was the HT the only meter put into DC current mode to read DC inrush and the other meters were not?

The HT Neptune is the only meter that has a DC inrush mode. All the other instruments either switch automatically to AC when put in inrush mode or, in the case of the Uni-T, the inrush mode is disabled if you turn the selector switch to DC Amps. So the video was just to see how accurate a DC inrush measurement is on those meters that read AC only.
      Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@three-phase562 I wondered if the inrush function was disabled or non functional in DC mode. I just misunderstood thats what you were saying at the beginning of the video.
