    R.I.P Robbie Flower.
    One of the greatest ever to pull on a footy boot. And a hell of a nice bloke!
    From a Collingwood supporter who idolised Flower as a kid

    As a tiger supporter one of the first games of VFL I saw was Richmond v Melbourne, Rd 2, 1983. Flower dominated kicking 5 goals. He was so good watch, so balanced and skilful.

    Words fail me to express my sadness on the sudden passing of Melbourne's GREATEST PLAYER EVER.
    There will never be another player with the skilful natural talent, agility, and courage of this true champion.
    Robbie, you are a legend, and you will live in the hearts of true Demon supporters forever.
    My deepest sympathy to the Flower family.

    One of the finest players ever. We need a statue at him at the MCG. If Jeff Kennett doesn't like it he can kiss my ass

    What did Robbie Flower die of ? Been trying to research this. "Passed away suddenly after a short illness" is all I can find. Anyone know ?

    • @CaffeineJogger
      @CaffeineJogger 4 роки тому

      I do know Robbie suffered from Cardio Myopathy. A disease-causing the heart to increase in size. As far as I'm aware the cause was not Prostate Cancer. It was a sudden unexpected passing. A beautiful, beautiful man and the best player I ever saw. 66-2020.

    • @frankmachin5438

      I understand he did have prostate cancer but he’d had a number of health concerns including cardio myopathy, and I believe his heart suddenly gave out.
