@god from england mate. Just sounds like a good down to earth game for the working man. No bullshit, just get on with it, get all that aggression out then go for a beer afterwards. But this game seems to attract some very interesting characters
@god yes I've heard it's a bit more civilised nowadays lol. The old school guys moaning about how it's turned into a poofters game but I guess it had to become a bit more respectable with the sponsors and the money men. Was something like gunfight at the ok corral at times. Unbelievable but very entertaining none the less!
@god dont know anybody who really knows too much about the game here. Most guys know about it but not so much the rules. Funnily enough when I was a kid they used to show a game every sunday morning for a while so I kinda got into it but then they stopped showing them and I lost touch. Just went on youtube a while ago and found a vid and then went on a binge!
Soccer is the greatest and by far the most important sport on Earth and is massive in over 240 countries. Soccer is the universal language that every nation on this planet loves. Afl is massive in 4 out of 6 Australian states. Still and always will be a minority sport in Qld and NSW. Soccer will be the number 1 sport in Australia by 2050 and every suburb will love soccer and every suburb will have its own soccer club rudgc
This guy has held his own from day one in his career. Colourful and despite what mike's spies tell him, he could hold his own well. (Banksy got him a good sneako though). This guy is one of my fav's for no backward step. could play a bit as well.

Watching these interviews they just don’t breed personalities like this anymore in footy sad but I guess we are in a lot more different times these days. No social media back then either and I really really think that was the best thing. Now you have to put up with all the footy moles complaining about broken finger nails or whinging and whining for not getting attention 🤣
Agree. Mike went into this with preconceived ideas. He almost thinks his opinion is the authority without regard to his subjects opinion or response. Thankfully David had enough class and personality to make this interview a classic which Sheehan almost ruined.
@@_User333 Probably not more so than Lethal, but dirty nonetheless. It's amazing how players as dirty as Lethal and Clarkson have been rehabilitated and become elder statesment

polished off a box of crownies at the tribunal. 😆 legend
Know fuck all about aussie rules but loving these interviews and highlight reels. Very entertaining and down to earth. The 80s sounded like a blast!

Was always great support with younger players at the club. Thanks Rhys

An absolute gentleman
what a great interview. I like him a lot more now
Thanks for this
fantastic episode
Dam great footballer, great skills, very light on his feet and great vision. I always felt that Rhys was defending himself most of the time.

Great interview.
Interesting comments about the steroids, especially the Eagles. Around 2005/2006 for sure.
Surprise, surprise West Coast on the juice in the mid 80's.
Great player
There's only one way to sum up The Hyphen....
R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Rhys-Jones and Banks share a birthday."Here's a gift Dennis"."Thanks David. Here's mine to you."Crunch👊
Fine player, comes from the 'old school'
the dave granger of the old VFL
likeable fellow seemingly in this interview
The woman watching loved him.
Seems like a good dude
Gee I miss the days where you could punch a bloke in the face, expect one back before the siren and then shake hands and have a beer.
Sheahan has a rude habit of wanting to know what guys were earning, it's none of his business.
ripper bloke. got on the piss with him a few years back. wanted to hate him....being a Bombers supporter..... but he's just the best bloke.

At least he wasn't on the glass barbecue....🤥💨
What? West Coast and drugs! I don't believe it.
Ummm, Kerr, Cousins, as long as they were an asset the club covered it up.
Once they lost form, snip.
A true blue !
i'm going to get retina burn with that pink shirt.
Made Dermie look like he was running backwards
Mike didn't seem think that rys was a fighter ,should done homework, into his junior footy

Sorry, this is not about David. I never liked Mike before now. This is a wonderful series.
Dermie was defo on steroids
10 st 7 lbs in the old money is not 63 kg in the new money. He might as well have been a jockey.
Demetriou . The man that ruined the game.
Diesel Williams.. one of the dirtiest players I've seen
More so than Leigh Matthews?

Yeah, Rhys won a flag in '87' and was the Norm Smith medallist.
Grub of grubs
West Coast players were seen jumping the fence when the drug testers arrived.
WCE were on roids? *pikachu shocked face*
