- Welcome to my latest video!
The Ferrari F2004 with slick tyres is absolutely one of the FASTEST F1 cars ever! This car is about 4 seconds faster than the 2023 pole lap from Perez in Jeddah! The Ferrari F2004 would destroy the whole grid during the 2023 Saudi Arabian GP!
The Ferrari F2004 with slicks is also the fastest car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife! it's way faster than the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo! It laps the Nordschleife under 5 minutes!

How it goes flat through some of those corners is simply a mastery of physics.
because slicks and super light weight
@@OscarZheng50 insane levels of aero also helps!
@@doubl0dave not to forget older F1 cars were way lighter than the ~2016 ones.
Ive driven the mod. It has too much grip. Its a few seconds faster than 2020 f1 cars which is kind of impossible. You have to remember these cars have a decent bit LESS aero than the modern ones. And less power. While this car has a better top speed without drs and more aero. I know its a decent bit lighter but that doesnt account for the top speed gains whilst retaining the downforce. I think modern slicks on this car would only allow it to go a second or so faster than with the old rubber. Which is still a lot but not as fast as this mod is.
@@cancermancer the f2004 on slicks is about 3-5 seconds faster than f2004 on grooved tires on the average f1 track
As Jimmy Broadbent once said You dont have to worry about this thing called death in sim racing
The Porsche 919 Hybrid from 2016 has a laptime of 5:19, and thats in reallife.
The driver trained his neck 3 months just for that drive on that day with the right conditions.
@@danieldorn9989 though it was an evolution of that car as a tribute to the car as it won 3 straight Le Mans overall. Porsche simply said F the rules and like Adrian newey said on Seb, it’s when man and machine become one.
I think this Ferrari needs drug tested on who fast it is
😂
If Ferrari's strategy and pace was half as good as it was in the Schumacher days, RB would be getting owned rn
And different tyre to 😏
Nope RB and Mercedes were strategy better than Ferrari ever was
@@emilekaram6094 🤣🤣 DTS boy
@@mathieuschafer1360 And you're a Golf fanboy
Ferrari had trash competitors unlike RB and Mercedes, when Renault came they started ouplaying Ferrari with the strategies. Todt knows that Wolff and Lewis and their team combination is superior to his and Michael's one
I doubt the bumps at the Nordschleife will be as kind to a Formula 1 car in real life.
this v10 and v8 were strong enough for that and many tracks back then were in a bad shape unlike today where its illegal almost . maybe a modern f1 cant because of how flat they are from the buttom and often touch the asphalt
assetto corsa is quite overdramatic when i comes to bumps and kerbs, so i think it would be kinder honestly
@@oskarcorwinbohlin9644 Go watch the real life onboard Porsche 919 video which holds the actual record and then you can see how those bumps are in a real car.
Since many decades F1 has adjustable suspension you know....
i got like 50 hours total drive time in nordschleife assetto, and also tried the f1 2004 on the track.
i finished the tourist route in like 5:15 or so.
to everyone who doesnt play assetto: this lap is absolutely insane. like thats so well driven. wow cheers to you
Imagine if today’s F1 cars had those V10’s, with modern aerodynamics, and slicks… like, woah 😳
That would be one heavy car
Not really because we will get refueling and smaller tank and much less weight due to no batteries
@@ArshdeepSingh-oc1oo no...they would have to redesign the cars to fit the V10...still, they would be heavy af
it sounds great in theory but they'd have to redesign the aero around the v10 and it would be very heavy. after a few years of development it also runs the risk of being too fast for the drivers and they'd break their necks around high g corners. but its a really fun thing to think about how f1 engineers could in theory make cars significantly faster than what we have
NA V10 alone is waaay cheaper but doesn't need any additional components for power. Meaning today a V10 would pull close to 1000HP. Because it's much simpler and theres less moving parts, V10 F1 cars today would be more reliable AND we would have a lot more teams and manufacturers. I would guess atleast 14 teams competing. This gives younger drivers more possibilities.
Now because theres no hybrid system or a turbo, it's a lot lighter. Car weight would probably be around 620-640kg. This alone greatly increases cornering speed
Then I think we all want shorter cars, so around 4600mm length. Width and height of current cars is just fine. Rear wing height could be increased to modern height. I think it would also be better for it to be more similar to the 2004 chassis design but even a little more aero, the modern V10 would destroy everything else in terms of cornering speed due to weight. Remove TC also because they have slicks now so its not as unstable as with grooved tyres. It would be perfection
boi I thought the W11 around spa with restrictions is already in the league of its own but the f2004 with slicks takes the phrase nurburingring lap time to a whole new level
the time isn’t even realistic
@@cornbaII fully aware of that, the ac mod is overmodeled but still going flat out at 300 kmh around turns is crazy
With renewable biofuels, the most damaging part of an F1 car is the rare metals found in the battery. Therefore, to be eco-friendly, the teams must return to the 3.0 V10 days. For the sake of the orcas. Or something.
🤯 beast of a lap. Well done whoever drove this lap. That was intense 💪🏽
Niemand es ist nur ein game
Given the current condition of the "Schleife" and with regard to the technology of 2004 (and also today), the Ferrari would break in two halves at the latest in the Pflanzgarten-Area. 😉
Despite everything, a great lap. 👍
True, especialy after hitting those ultra high curbs. It would just break the suspention instantly and send the car flying into the woods.
Great Lap, but those physics are not realistic at all.
That curb sound 2:31 😎
The sound…😍😍😍
I miss the sound in F1 today…..
Best ever Formula one car sound😊
F2004 will remain as the greatest F1 car ever
One of… there are many.
It is so fast around the corners
The amount of time at 18,5 k Rpm 200mph is insane
Yeah its a game
@@blackmetalgoat9060 In real life these cars still hit 18,000+ RPM at race pace, for 2 hours straight
Felt like in GT4 where the Polyphony Formula Car striking the Nurburgring.
the sound at low revs and getting of the throttle is awsome!
This is the right car for the right driver, perfect match! The GOAT🏆🏁
Still wrong physics F2004 will reach 360+ km/h on straights why it's hitting wall at 320 kmph???
Mrs Schumacher: "Michael, I miss you.. "
Michael: "....."
I am unable to react how fast it took corners.
I wanted to see slick tires in F1 from the early 2000s. Grooved tires were bad decision that hopefully never happens again.
- Can we get serious now? I'd like to know how many times the pilot practiced that maneuver
Thats the right question beacause witj this speed and that level of sûre world champion of curse (100 times )😅
No humain can drive that speed in that level 😂
We will never expérience those finest days of F1 ! Best moments, best races, best overtakes, best battles in those early 2000...remember i was in my 20s and never missed 1 GP...nowadays, it only about technological advantages, bravery of the drivers is artificialy made up even more with the drs era. ..
That's why in my pov, Ferrari and Michael Schumacher era will always represent the acme of this sport...
Ferrari F2004 with soft tires and DRS: a rocket
I think you'd break your spine if you tried this for real
That downforce is unreal for 2004 f1 car
@BoroZero more grip doesnt mean more downforce. More grip have huge affect on slow corner, not much on fast corner.
It should be possible because the 2004 was round 150kg lighter than f1 2020
It dosent need more downforce when it is lighter. The only issue about the 2004 was the power of the engin it was to powerfull compare to the grip level.
(F1 20' 1.34 ps/kg F1 2004 1.48 ps/kg)
So if you have full slicks like todays f1 its definitly a game changer
This car is way lighter, this is not the only simulation showing a great 2000s V10 F1 is way faster than modern F1
@@Validonelo power and weight feel right, downforce here is way too big for 2004 car, seems unrealistic downforce.
These are not only slicks but the wider ones, from around 2018... much much wider than the original tires made into slicks.
Just the sound of the motor and gear box will make u 🤤
Very clean driving. Well done!
Remember that this cars were heavier on purpose and they used strip tires. This ones with slicks, full carbon and more aero, would literally destroy everything we know about automotion.
Yes, they've been designed to use stripped tires, I'm not sure that the suspensions could bare slick tires at this pace for long because of the higher amount of force they would have to deal with, not to mention the gearbox or the clutch.
Frankly to me it looks like you could have run just a tad lower of downforce maybe. It would still be pretty agile in the corners. Overall great lap man.
2:48 that roar
Perfect combination of driver and machine here
In reality, the suspension would have exploded after turn 5 lol
I suggest you run incredibly low aero setup like monza. It would be a lot more tricky but also very rewarding because of long straights and fast corners
There is no way a set of soft slicks would last a whole lap at Nordschleife.
F1 needs to bring back the v10s but with slicks and for safety just add the halo.
Just hoping to see an F1 smashing the recoed without hitting a single kerb. That would make more sense
I know this is theoretical but simulators are so close to reality nowadays that there's a large amount of validity to this lap.
FIA changed the F1 format from V10>V8> Hybrid because of MSC/Ferrari's dominance, due to the other teams frustrations, this will not be addressed directly by anyone but if you watch old footage it's all there in hints and body language, the top current teams (Including one's right now at the top) were approaching their cars eyeing off their aero package a lot of times after Ferrari's wins and also hacking their technical data.
To make a long story short I am convinced that "FIA" robbed M.Schumacher, R.Barichello, F. Massa, Formula 1 history and community of Ferrari's era of dominance because of the pressure mounted on them by the other teams and the ugly hidden proposition of financial manipulation that is exchanged in those tall buildings where handshakes between snakes are carried out.
It is also my realization no actual Formula 1 exists today, Formula 1 to it's core was "Strategy" encompassing all aspects of maintenance from fuel loads,Tyre manufacturer supply, pit timing, aero/engine package's where teams had more control and exploration, etc; What we have today is a soulless version of the former run by motorsport racing communists and team principle dictators who have to have their influential demands met because it's too much for them to be compromised by new teams entering the comp threatening their era's of domination regardless of what previous racing experience they have.
and this is Why I no longer see this mode of racing as serious but stupid rubbish, drinking lemon juice has more satisfaction. Quick Fact, did you know "Indy" is faster than F1?!...
Imagine trying this in real life but with traffic 😂
When the lap has started but you need to go to the toilet
see this would be cool, but the problem I have with the cars in these videos is that they use the modern Pirellis, and not what would be equivalent to slicks of that era
No matter the era, Bridgestone and Michellin would always make a better tyre than Pirelli.
@@masamuneidkyriou Michelin USA 2005. How does this make their tires better?
He sets the FOV so wide he looks like he's going way faster than he actually is lol
One the best videos I've ever ever ever seen smh 👏🤤
Perfect 👍
Nothing is faster
Possible to try with longer gearing?
1:26-1:28 is something Schumacher would adore
Here comes Flugplatz....huh....or not....
Impressive lap but I feel like the grip looks a little TOO much, like a bit unrealistic. I think even with modern soft Pirelli slicks it wouldn't be THAT grippy, surely?
Maybe too much grip yea. these cars weighed 605kg inc driver and fuel, 2022 cars 795 inc driver and no fuel (max 110kg). 40kg in current cars would be 1,5s per lap. If these cars had the weight of the old cars it would make them faster by 7-10 sec using that logic. the old tires were harder and heated up way more due to the groves so slicks would add allot of grip to them. weight plays a huge role in high gforce corners. 200kg in pouhon would add about 1 ton of additional sideways force Maybe one day they'll slap some slicks on a real one......
@@DRk1ll3dm3 I mean they slapped some slicks on the Renault from 2005 or 2006, I don't exactly remember the model.
So I guess this is faster than the Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo
How? 919 Evo got faster lap times on same simulations, mod isn't even realistic
@@vr5lover did it? Didn't know that I just know it did a 5:19 irl
@@Vartazian360 yeah irl it did 5:19 probably impossible to break, but on assetto corsa there are lots of people doing sub 4:50 laps with 919 Evo mods, and this mod is overpowered. Original f2004 got specifications that gotten from Ferrari themselves, they partnered with kunos for that.
@@vr5lover No. This car on slicks is MUCH faster than the 919 Hybrid Evo. All my three different Evo WRs are 4:41-4:42, this car on slicks did 4:27! The Evo on slicks is a bit faster than the F2004 on ordinary grooved tyres. But when both cars are on the same tyres, the F2004 wins because it is MUCH lighter.
@@jakubkrcma Well then your simulation is not real at all lmao,4:27 is impossible even if you put 200 hp more with hypersoft slicks, kunos already gave datas came from partnership with Ferrari, using a mod instead shows this isn't realistic at all
Really lovely lap mate..
how is ur arms after such a lap? Track is bumpy as f and really hard to drive F1 cars around there
Nice driving you've mastered! But, if a lap like this was possible which I think it's not because F1 car chassi and body are not stronger enough to survive this track, the Porsche 919 evo would still be much more impressive because the car was able (in real life) to do 5min19seg and way faster on straight line/high speed turns (369kmh) being heavier than a F1 car. Turns out, how faster it could go with more downforce? Conclusion: No restriction LMP1 wins!!!
didnt a lmp1 break a lap record in spa with a bunch of modifications a few years ago and then the f1's broke it right after during a quali?
@@MMorgattto yes bunch of modifications but low drag enough to achieve +360kmh on spa straight which results in less speed at corners, imagine how faster it could go with more downforce? And we're still talking about a 150, 200kg heavier car
This is base spec F2004 at 865 bhp, imagine if he tweaked it for its qualifying spec which is around 920-950+ bhp
An absolute rocketship
This mod isn't realistic through
Very satisfying to watch
Imagine DRS on those long straights!
Downforce prevents flight 3:11 🤩
A f1 climbing the "pianos" of nur ... I see...
And doing the karrousel for the interior 😂
I love how these games are meant to be simulation but have an F1 car drive smoothly on one of the bumpiest tracks ever.
The breaking at 1:09 is EPIC 💯
Absurdly fast💀
Crazy how fast F2004 was! All track records were broken by the newer cars (2018-now). F2004 still holds 3 Circuits, 2 by Schumi (Bahrain, Shanghai) and 1 by Rubens (Monza). On the other hand Kimi (Hockenheim, 2004) and Montoya (Istanbul, 2005) still hold the records respectively. What an era!
How you've made it that you've with slicks? It looks great.
By the way: great drive. :) Congrats. :)
How do you put the slicks on? I want to put them on the 2006 f1 cars
Take off the grooved tires and mount slicks. Don't know what's the issue?
@@JAtoA wym?
@@JAtoA So, only change them? I think I tried it before yet it had an error or something
Superb driving😮😮😮
I broke your record after watching your video. I thought it was so cool I downloaded it and broke your record :) got 04: 47.272
This just in, fastest car on earth faster than other cars.
This is all just theoritical that F2004 will go superquick with the slicks, it will go fast like 2 seconds quicker but not any more. Modern slicks in F2004 will also quickly fall off due to the F2004 having much less downforce than the newer cars.
The williams was even faster honestly, Juan Pablo montoya was setting records with their engine in race dress staying in the 17k-19.5 range thru acceleration. It was Ferraris aero and michael that won all those races.
F2004 with hypersoft when
Thank God it‘s just a Game. But still impressiv
Anyone know how they "learn" the ferrari V10 sound then synthesize it and then code it in??
It looks so fast, really cool, the F1 games look really slow
The only way I can see this being beaten is by doing the run on Hypersoft tyres because their grip is yet to be rivalled.
impressive¡¡¡ I remember the old F1 in the 70`s and the lap record is 6´50´´/7´00´´.
Best f1 car ever made.
Some of the physics looks sus here. In some high speed corners the car hitting a pronounced curb like that would unsettle the car way more than is shown here.
X1 can make under 3:20s full track I remember. 🤔
Yea... This car IS the monster
Idk what game this is but on forza7 someone managed a 4.30, but man watching that was hella impressive that's knowing the track for sure
Thats assetto corsa
If a 2004 car really would have robbed over the curbs like that, it's axis would have been broken after half the lap
My dream's to perform a clean lap in the nurburgring hahaha
ok, sorry bout the question... but, the engine's sound, is actually from the game? fr i don't know if it is
Les épingles à 140 km/h.....on ne peu pas lutter !
Now watch the video at 2x speed!
I feel as this is a bit unrealistic slow the car down by a second per lap and it would be life accurate I think
1 second slower on which track? 1 sec on the nordschleife is nothing
@@DRk1ll3dm3 more of a general statement not on nords

It is sad to see so many people commenting here without any clue. First off, this lap was slower than the current Nordschleife F2004 world record on the regular GROOVED tyres (4:43.668). Secondly, the car on slicks can do 4:27. Thirdly, the REAL car could do VERY close to the simulated times. This is Assetto Corsa, not some stupid arcade crap!
Найдите мне инженера из ф1 который назвал бы примерное время на петле. На моей памяти однозначные цифры даже +-20 секунд никто не называл, и вы видели эти отбойники? Реально ли об них так долбить болид на 270км?.. спорное видео)

compare it to the 919 evo now
Personally think he was slow and late out the corners, I could beat them time
The WR with this is 4:27. Anybody can beat 4:47.
In real life you can't even touch most of the curbs without got spun
