It's a charcoal canister for fuel vapor to collect in. It commonly causes bogging issues and doesn't allow proper air flow. Remove it. Kobe it into the trash.

@@Entirelyxtooxtired between the block off plate and the carb. You can also check under your fairings (plastics) for the breather (vent) tube near the top of the tank. If it has came loose a full tank can leak from there.
How do you remove the actual emissions canister
Just pull it off its connected tubes, then remove them. Typically you'll have to take your left fairing off

My bike is leaking gas. Could this be why??
If its not snug yes. Try cutting out a new rubber spacer

Where does the holes go?
On the bolt, then you put the hex boly nuts back on. They press it over the hole. Use blue loctite.
If it was you I won’t be able to find this blockage kit
