Getting seeing my bike for the first time, after peeling back the cardboard, brought a smile to my face. These little bike's aren't fast, or too comfortable(small) but are hella-fun full throttle on the back roads. Loving it!

This may be a dumb question. But I was wondering if you need a license to ride it? I've been looking into getting one myself but don't have my license yet as I deal with focal seizures. This would be a pretty big step from the current ebike that I use from Lectric, and would help me get to places more easily.
@@DarKKlusteR Not a dumb question at all but yes you would need an M endorsement since this is considered a motorcycle by the DMV (anything less than 50cc you just need a regular license in my state). Really sorry to hear about the seizures but on a side note, I love those Lectrics. My sister in law has one and it's a straight hooligan machine 🤣
@@stonemedinaaa I love Lectric as well! Been using my XP Lite since October of 23'. Already almost up to 1000mi on it and it runs great. Got a few upgrades for it like a basket to do deliveries, a tracker in case it gets stolen, and plan on getting some fenders for the tires as well as a suspension upgrade. Even changed out the peddles to match the color as well as the handle bar grips. She does great for off roading as well, got some pretty decent trails near me and have had little to no issues with it. I'm hoping if anything I might be able to get a doctors note or something to allow me to get my license since my seizures only have happened while I'm sleeping if anything.

I cant remember if the stock carb had a fuel drain screw but I would check that first. If not, definitely pull the fuel line from the carb to see if gas is flowing through it. if it is then check the spark plug. I cant remember exactly what we did to get it going honestly, I just remember being hyped when it cranked 😂
@@shabarreira Probably also want that Mikuni VM22 clone carb kit as well... should be I think a 105-110 main jet, and a 40 pilot jet - would help open it up quite a bit, with a cheap exhaust.

I recommend taking the fairings off and searching for the rattling from there. I put foam in some spots where the fairings aren't secured and may cause sounds. Rattling could be anything from the engine mount bolts being loose to the foot pegs

Tips for idiots: never hold start button on car or bike more then 15 seconds at a time. YOU WILL CAUSE DAMAGE 15 seconds on turn of key wait ten seconds then try again.
I'm only 5'7 so I can't speak on that lol but I know there's a lot of tall kingz riding them. Srkcycles has a video on one and he's definitely 6ft+. top speed bone stock is probably 55-60mph MAX

And pretty soon your engine mount bolts will break be careful not to ride because it just happens out of the blue 5/16x18 5" long Hex bolt hardened and blue locktite if you want to stop your Bolts from breaking from the vibrations of the engine the bolts are paper thin stock👍 EBay is were you get the right Bolts

It's a easy fix yes it's compatible the Grom motor mount bolts are not 90% of the parts for the Grom fit the Vader even all the Plastics 😊
$35 re-carbs that and you’ll be all set I’ve had to Of these already You have to buy the $35 re-carb or It run right at all . You get what you pay for for 1200 bucks and some pro taper’s

This is a minibike that has little to no practical value on the street. When you learn how to ride, you'll want a motorcycle. There are adequate beginner bikes on the market -- for those who see past the initial learning curve. The right 250 can keep up with most city traffic.

Even better, I pass cars when it goes to 4 lanes. On a 125 -- no. You can't keep up with 10 hp, even redlining between shifts. Branson is hilly, too, and dogging up long hills on a Grom with a line of cars behind isn't fun. It's embarrassing, like riding a little scooter. 😖
yeah I only really ride the mini in the city where I rarely exceed 45mph but I putt around and terrorize the suburbs every once in a while. took it out to the countryside to visit a friend once and did feel somewhat bad for the line of cars behind me when I was redlining @ 55mph lol. I have 1050cc too and have owned a few bikes on the way so I'm familiar of both worlds. If you never figured it out, the breather hose for the gas tank is prob pinched under the plastic fairings on the tank... poor quality control.

I was wrong. Noise is anti rattle clip. Take out front pads and bend alittle.

It’s the carb you need to buy a $35 carburetor it’s a whole kit that comes together put a little banjo oil cooler and you’re all set
To be honest just throw another $600 and you can get a og grom the sell for 2200 I got my 2017 grom for 2400$ with only 2000 miles . Mint cherry red

no it was simple. put the front wheel on, clamp the handlebars down, change the oil then she's ready to go
Get a mikuni carb, change the front sprocket, and a slip on exhaust and 60 mph😁 easy!

chain cover cut it back too and you will no longer hear the rattling from the chain hitting on the chain cover
