I've got a 2016 T680 with 276,592 miles and have no problems with it bro. And I don't know of any of these mechanical problems you speak of. Have you had the periodic maintenance taken care of? I have.
My 2014 T680 still running great at 1,320,000 miles- engine has never been rebuilt. Had oil leaks fixed at about 700,000 miles front and rear covers. Doesn't leak any now uses 1 gallon of oil by 20,000 mile oil change intervals. My biggest complaint are kingpins- every 500,000 miles they needed replacing because of steer tire wear. Had to replace the clutch when the hydraulic throw out bearing seized. My T680 has been a great truck, but with everything mechanical moving parts wear out eventually that's with any manufacturer.
Y’all shouldn’t be talking cuz some trucks come out good some of them don’t. I just bought a 2016 t680 and it works perfectly. So stop saying that the truck is trash that’s what keeps your family and you alive. You don’t use your high beams to drive all night.
Just wait. In one year of having mine it's wiped out my savings twice almost had me out of business three times. 2 100 plus mile tows. And I just replaced 4 batteries 8 months after the last new ones went in there.
@@roscobear6143 I'm sorry to hear that. Ive had those issues with the ISX I'll never buy one again. My paccar is fully owner operator spec'd out no def dpf issues. Guess I brought a good one driving as we speak 427238 miles not one engine light since I brought it. However I believe in preventive maintenance the KW dealer is only 3miles from my house when I go home I drop my truck off so they can inspect it free of charge since they know me my buddie has same truck same year as mine actually we brought them from the same place and he's in the oil field west virginia area. For 2 yrs no issue with his either.
My 2019 T680, has the same electrical issues, Jake brake issues. My trans also failed and needed to be replaced at 106,000 miles! It has 127,000 and I’m still having trans issues.
my 2021 has an electrical issue The windshield washer pump works when it wants to. replaced pump a week ago. still same problem must be an electrical issue in wiring but I cant find it. I trained in a Freightliner. This T680 is wider and looking over left shoulder while backing is way more difficult. Nice big sleeper but i want the freightliner back
Not sure if it's the same situation but I noticed that just having the cruise control switch on derates the jake brakes. They still work on my truck but not as strong. Maybe it's to prevent jackknife on long hills or something.
You so dramatic because it's a company truck .... but truck drivers whit personal trucks got everything right because they take care check everything and buy extra relay and shit and take the time to find solutions for shit like that ... just be creative... is that so difficult...?????????
@@averyblackguy1105 from what I understand it will have to go to MCH. And probably get a new wiring harness. I don't want to do it until after this virus thing is over. I haven't had good experiences with MCH.
I have a t680 bought it with 186,000 with the Cummins X15 not Paccar and I've had issues with my traction control light and DEF quality sensor that's all so Kenworth ain't shitty just Paccar equipped trucks are shitty I guess
Absolutely correct. I got the same truck and the turn signal stays on and won't turn off. Also secondary fuel tank wont level the fuel or empty the tank and only the primary tank will empty. This is absolutely a peace of shit truck with more electrical issues than any truck I ever drove including this mediocre AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Its funny how some folks would make jokes on the freightliner...Now look at us ...I never talked down about a freightliner but in all honesty they are the honda accord of trucks so freightliner wins actually 🏆
I drive a 2019 t680 as a company truck. Total trash. Everything on the interior is falling apart, along with several things on the outside and under the hood. Started at about 40,000 miles. These sorry asses know what they're building.
Shit wire harness'...... I've got over 20k in my after treatment system because the def heater had weak power. 200k on the clock the dealership told me warranty would touch it. I switched to a different dealership. Warranty is shit, electrical systems shit, warranty is shit. I should have went with the P4 and I hate shakers
I forgot to add the constant d-rates. The coolant tank kept reading low even though it was full of coolant I even overfilled it. The magnetic float inside the tank got stuck in the down position and kept derating the truck. I had to pull the sensor out tape a magnet to the top of it to trick the truck into thinking that it was full of coolant just to make it someplace off the highway in rush hour traffic in Massachusetts. It's hard to make money with the T-680
Just to confirm real facts !. I am a truly OTR Truck driver with over 31 years of experience.... In our industry best trucks are as follows.... 1. Kenworth = Toyota Brand Best 2. Peterbilt = Honda Brand 2Best 3. Volvo = Dodge etc. P.O.Junk 4. Freightliner = Ford Fiesta models they fall a part within 2 years. P.O.Junk. This youtuber mention something very important.. That's why the truck is no longer functional. There is NOTHING WRONG WITH THE BRAND !!!! I owned a Kenworth T680 2019. With a X15 Cummins 525 HP. Bought it Brand new, my current mileage is 330,560 Yet I have had 0 problems with the truck.... But I do not abused the truck I drive it safely and 100% professional. Expert advise.. If you are planing to buy a used truck DO NOT BUY A TRUCK COMING FROM SWIFT,CR ENGLAND,KNIGHTS, SCHENEIDER OR WARNER. because this carriers train rockies with them... You will have issues and bigger problems with this trucks. I guarantee it.
Are you fucking kidding. Hi beans works no matter what you got set on not. It is a problematic truck and my company did away with them the first year they got them and got volvos instead. You are the dummy you fool
The truck itself is the best manufactured vehicle, is that Paccar engine you got that makes it a piece of shit. But if that's the only thing that you can point out that makes it a piece of shit truck other than having to Paccar engine in there, then you don't know what the fuck you talking about I have a 2018 T6 80 with a X 15 Cummins engine, I have had no problems mechanically with the truck, my current mileage on the truck is 186,638 miles
2021 Kenworth T680, bout to hit 250,000. We had one gremlin when we got it and that's it. We have the 455hp Paccar. Love it.
I got the same truck but a 2022 mines worked awesome so far

I have the same problem and need a fortune to take to the shop for repair a fucking 2019 T680 with 560,000 miles only.
Dash reset fixes that problem every time. 6 times in a row to on position, start it on the 7th time
You are so right Dash reset fixed my no brights issue. Also service engine and cruise fault codes. Love this truck!
You right dude I have spent at lot money on my t 680 , electrically is not good!

What is your 3 green dots lighting in your rpm ?
Sweet spot for optimal performance.
T680 with the paccar engine have so many issues!! T680 with Cummins CX15 no issues!! Cummins CX15 more power...
Kenworth has a recall on t680 engine break
If I turn on my brights all headlights stop working for about 5 minutes
We have 4 of these trucks they run few bugs now then but over all they roll
I've had mine 7 years and its been the best truck I've ever owned.
I know right I’m in a 2022 I love it 13 speed
Check relays these t680 love to cook them
Anyone figure out the engine brake thing? Because that shit is frustrating to be freewheeling down a hill knowing the truck is malfunctioning.

So how you get lights to work
Good question, cause I have same problem and not clue.
I’m driving a 2020 t680 just put a new bulb and it’s not working either. Every sensor needs replacing totally garbage
I have the same problem.

I have a T680 paccar engine n no issues the truck is solid
Is the warranty expired?
Nope. It is just a horrible truck
I got a 2019 . Abs light on. Traction light. Hill assist on. Check engine light on. All 🍊.
Me too 2019 T880
Did you figure out out to get it resolved?
