- These images were shot on the Leica M11-P at 60mp with the Voigtlander 75mm f/1.9 - a seriously underrated lens. This sessions lighting needed to be a little more dramatic then my typical headshot lighting, which usually comes down to some black v-flats or any kind of black flagging you can find.
I get my Voigtlander lenses from Camera Quest directly. Amazing to deal with and very fast shipping. I’m not an affiliate, just a loyal customer.

Thank you for such helpful videos. I have shied away from studio shooting up to now - your work, and the explanations of what you use and why are simply inspiring!
I appreciate you watching and the kind words.
Love the side profile shot. Nice lighting!
Thank you
I like the green background. It has a nice natural look of nature like the color came from a tree or something.
I used the standard green with the full CTO gels together. It was a more subtle green
Gorgeous work! 😍
It really flows green top and green background great photos😁
I def got the shade I wanted. Thank you
Great video, great images ❤
Thank you very much
Lovely images, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching.
I zoom that eyes and saw what you did and that simple light setup.
Great picture.
Thank you
I dont suppose the M11 has a phone app to remote trigger does it? Nikon's app isn't the height of usability but it's surprisingly handy to be able to see a preview, focus, fire the shutter and look at the result away from the camera, including if Im standing in the spot I intend to photograph. Killer images as always btw! Feel like I forget to say that, but every video is full of amazing photos.
It does have an amazing app that allows remote access/firing. And it allows for very quick wireless tethering.
I bought a godox v350 and the light is cooler than daylight so I was looking into getting flash gels but I don't know which one to get to balance it with the daylight, would you happen to know which one to use? Also is it just me or does the flash emit some kind of smell when used?
Great colors. I shoot against a gray backdrop, to then choose colors in Photoshop. Is white backdrop better?
I think Grace is better for both gelled lights and to change in Lightroom or Photoshop
You're seriously making me consider
Voigtlander lenses for my MFT system. Are your V flats built or bought? I'm finding myself MacGyvering something out of diffusion paper and wall frames a little too often anymore.
I purchased them. I use them a lot. Check your local stores to see if any get the 4x8 sheets in. Some home improvement and art supply stores do carry them
i just give the model a styro plate to hold. horizontaly under her belly. Just right and if there is a reflection in the eye, its one click in PS or LR. Your move to black out the „sidewalls“ has the biggest effect to help the beautydish shine.
No judgement, but may I suggest getting any kind of holder for your reflectors other than your client? I always think it’s awkward for the subject holding photo gear for their own photo.
@@kaskoPhoto no issue so far. I think everything is legit to relax the client. if iwork as a dentist, it would be another story…
@@rumbolz someone should tell my dentist that. 😂
