  • These lenses are absolutely beautiful, sharp, well built, and affordable in the world of typical Leica glass. Take a look at the Summarit line of used lenses (they were discontinued) and try one out. Really, you will be impressed with the f/2.5 or the f/2.4 series.

totally agree. I have the 50 2.5 and it is one of my favorite lenses. not only because of its characteristics but also due to its super short throw. its such a joy to use. thx for sharing, keep it up!

Shot the 35 2.5 Summarit on the M8 for a couple of years. Fabulous lens. Tiny and tab made focusing a breeze. Thanks for the info on the 90. It’s on my short list.

I agree with you on the Wotancraft Pilot bag. I have the 10Liter bag, & absolutely love it. I have the Wotancraft Trooper & their 18Liter backpack as well. All great products. Best wishes for your channel.😊

The Light Lens magnifier diopter adjustment also drove me crazy. I bought a used Leica one for 250 and the bonus is that I used the Light Lens adaptor to fit the M11 viewfinder!

I was able to get the 50mm f/2.4 version for about the same price as the 2.5 one. I really love it. I would be interested in trying the 75 and 90, but for now the 50mm Rit and 35 Cron are my two lenses on my M11. Great content!

I have the 75mm f/2.5 and totally love it. For the 90mm, I use an older 90mm tele-elmarit f/2.8 that is compact and I really like for its vintage character.

When I bought my M6 decades ago I paired it with a Canadian 35 f2 solely because I ran out of money. I was very happy until the purist ruined my journey. I’ve been thinking I’m in a better place now to be able try Leica again and shut out the noise makers. Thanks for explaining all this without all the posturing and bs.

Really liking this channel. Good to see a photographer that uses his Leica gear as opposed to looking at it with a box of Kleenex…

  • @mwales2112

Love my Wotancraft 7L and 3.5L bags (in Tan).. The 7L fits my M10 with a lens mounted along with 2 extra lenses and my Leica Q perfectly.

  • @Sticktube878

I've been looking at the q2 monochrome. It seems really nice.

  • @belema22

You telling me I didn't need to suspscribdd made me subscribe haha great video. There are so great lenses that don't cost an absolute fortune!

  • @ZippyDChimp-mr1tf

I like your videos and I subscribed a couple of videos ago.

Can probably never justify buying Leica M cameras (and esp. lenses) since I'm not a pro photographer, but if I ever where to go down that route I know exactly what lenses I'd get and it's the Summarit series of lenses. 2.8 is

  • @GastonShutters

I own the Summarit 90 f2.4 and love it. Chose it over the 90 Apo. My biggest selling point price, light weight and incredible image. Still don’t know why this line is so affordable and underrated.

  • @drwatsonismine

Thanks. Finally Leica wisdom. I agree 100%. I used it with my original m8 when it was first released….

  • @smoczarski

I agree about the light lens lab magnifier. It drives me crazy that it moves around. I didn't know that there was a tiny washer available. I traded in my Leica 1.4x because it didn't fit my M11. I wish I hadn't! All the best!

  • @VANKLAB

I did a ton of research on 90mm for my Leica M-P, and ended up with the 90mm f/2.5. Same diameter as the 50 f/1.4 so I can have one set of filters. 6-bit coding, sharp, round bokeh with 11 blades, and lighter than the elmarit. Just didn’t like that the hood was separate.

  • @_willfunk_

    I love my 75mm 2.4

  • @bberns2

Have the 90MM 2.4 and it is as good as you say.

  • @pothast

I totally understand the mental problem with the 35mm :D .... same here. :D
