  • In 2010 Julian and Myrtle were raided in their home and arrested for Cannabis possession. Dubbed ‘The Dagga Couple’ by the SA media, they set aside their careers in the Film and Television industry to establish a non-profit company to support their Constitutional Court Challenge. Fields of Green for ALL assists fellow South Africans who find themselves on the wrong side of the law. This is part of the preparation for The Trial of the Plant set down to start in the Pretoria High Court in March 2016.

    Outstanding and inspiring.
This couple is so in-tune with each other and you can almost physically see how in love they are. They give out a sense of empowerment.
Lately I've been so sceptical about activist and their power to change things... I though: "that's useless, what a waste of everybody's time".
But watching this talk... Oh what an energy boost I got from it. They gave me faith in being able to cause the change. EDUCATION and unapologetic action to combat bureaucracy and established regime.

Guys we all need to make sure that we take off some time from our busy work calendars to support the Dagga Couple at the North Gauteng High Court from the 10th March 2016. The eyes of the world will be upon us and we can show them all, including our leaders, just how much support there is for dagga to be legalised in SA.
Please try your utmost to be there and be seen and heard! I know that I will be
    One love

We will fight! I'm 38 and my parents still haven't accepted (or understood) it, [and, as it affects our bond and trust] I was looking for that one perfect UA-cam video I still need for an honest sit down brief, to "come out the dagga closet" and I believe I just found it! This is also the first time I saw a video of "the dagga couple" in video [although I've heard of you]. I pictured, or anticipated, typical dab-smoking-edible-cooking-cypress hill-bong-blazing-24 hr a day stoners, ha ha - I am delighted to see ordinary South African folks who can represent ordinary South Africans. Ordinary South Africans just like my parents and just like me, who discovered simple reality and truth and facts and decided not to shut up and cower away. Come on South Africa!

P.S this vitally important medicine doesn't just help patients recover from chemo therapy only, it actually kills cancer cells without harming the cells around it, I swear to god, go look into the new discoveries. Love and P.L.U.R :-) ! Dagga Couple are my new heroes.

I agree wholeheartedly! It makes no sense to me that cannabis is illegal while tobacco remains legal. Win this! I will support the cause.

    first page of the Bible:
Then God said, “I give you EVERY seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole
earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours
for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in
the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground-everything that
has the breath of life in it-I give every green plant for food.” And it
    was so.

The description is misleading " set aside their careers to establish a non-profit company", that is actually not how it went down. They were arrested for dagga, lost their jobs, branded dagga couple by media, went with it, challenged the law to save their own skin and only after realising they can milk the dagga culture for profit did they start FOGFA. If they were in it for the fight they would have been fighting dagga since before they got arrested... Asking them for truth is like asking for persecution.

Way to Go SA, again we refuse to learn from the countries like Netherlands and England who changed their minds after seeing the effects of letting drug dealers make money off the addiction and suffering of the citizens! So Irresponsible.
Why don't we just make it unjustifiable for any other drug dealer to legally possess and sell or use drugs in general? I cannot believe despite the scientific evidence and reports of countries like England, Colorado and Netherlands, that our courts would make such an irresponsible decision! We don't learn from the mistakes of other countries - do we?

+skyfooty - Ever tried talking on stage? Or seen people that have tried? Pft... This is normal. I didn't think it was bad.
Anyways, you shouldn't be judging. For you will then be missing the point. Or just ignorantly ignoring it.

As normal as a walk in the park...
Let the plant be already. In years to come when it's legal, we'll look back at this moment and wonder what all the fuss was about. Julian and Myrtle have been incredibly passionate and brave in their fight to change the perception of weed and bring us into the 21st century (and so have many others). We have to stop blaming complex social ills on the plant and look at the evidence in front of us. Listen to these two, they are right.
