Step 1:
Pre-Mix Saltwater (24 Hours Before Water Change)
Gather Supplies:
1 gallon of distilled, deionized, or reverse osmosis freshwater, and one pack of the Jelly Salt.
Mixing:
Pour Jelly Salt into the water, shake, and repeat 3-4 times over 24 hours.
Set Aside:
Keep the saltwater until ready for use.
Step 2: Test Tank Salinity
Use a Hydrometer:
Submerge the hydrometer in the tank, remove air bubbles, and check the salinity (ideal range: 28-32 ppt).
Step 3: Clean the Tank
Scrub Walls:
Use an acrylic-safe scrub brush to clean the tank walls.
Remove Uneaten Food:
Use a pipette to stir and remove food from the bottom.
Step 4: Water Removal
Prepare Area:
Lay a towel down and use a measuring cup to remove 1 gallon of water.
Step 5: Replace Filtration Materials
Chemi-pure Blue Nano:
Discard the old packet and replace it with a fresh one.
Rinse the Filtration Pad:
Use removed water to rinse the pad, then reassemble the system.
Step 6: Add New Saltwater
Check New Saltwater:
Ensure the new saltwater’s salinity is within 1 ppt of the tank water.
Add Saltwater:
Pour into the filtration compartment and re-test salinity after 1 minute. Adjust if necessary.
Step 7: Final Checks
Air Bubbles:
Use a pipette to remove any bubbles under the jellyfish.
Add JellyBio Maintain:
Add 1 capful to boost beneficial bacteria.
Clean Exterior:
Use a microfiber cloth and freshwater to wipe the tank.
Step 8: Enjoy Your Tank!
Your tank is now ready! Regular water changes keep your Moon Jellyfish healthy and happy.
