P.S. Watched this video again with my adult daughter who neatly expressed our mutual response: a homey subject that is made so romantic. Beautifully done and so inspiring.
Wow this is a beautiful painting, very well painted loosely, The light on the armchair and the floor and many areas within the painting yet painted so loosely yet with very well blended colours a superb painting Best wishes Christine and Ken xxx
Hi, I’m a loyal fan of yours on Instagram and really happy I finally found you here, absolutely great tutorial. I love interiors but need a lot of practice with my shadows .Thank you for naming the colours you mixed. Must watch it carefully again so I can get it right. Really looking forward to your next one. Thanks 😊
Clare! Absolutely loved this! Your commentary and the level of instruction were brilliant! Beautiful, beautiful painting. You definitely should do more. Thanks, I had a blissful half hour Sunday morning watching your painting process. Wonderful!
Merci Clare
Thank you for answering Claire it is such a beautiful piece I love the way you go about painting everything you do you are the best I've seen in a long time thank you Claire
Hi Clare, Thank you for your terrific video. You achieve beautiful paintings with your lovely loose brush work. I appreciate your commentary especially on your color mixing. You’re an inspiration!
A wonderfull painting, a real treat for me, you are so talented, make it look so easy but it is not, not for me, i know in my mind how to use the brush , composition , value and warm and cold but when i start on canvas is a mess. Sorry for my poor english. Keep painting and upload on youtube, make my day and even my week. Thank you. Say hello to your husband and enjoy the vacation.
Interior, seemed to me that you liked painting that subject very much. It was very relaxing to see and your explanation about the proces was relaxing too! Many thanks for sharing!
Love your style of instruction, just found you and viewing all your videos and Im learning a lot! Thank you for sharing your talent… Whaat kind of paint holder do you call it? Interesting, and I see you use a glass top desk…
Love the loose control in this picture. Helpful to see how you edit the scene.. When I paint interiors they're always in my own home and I load it with too many details. This one grabs the essence of the room..
Hello Clare, beautiful painting. For a first indoor and larger size (I think), it's very successful. I really like the slightly faded colors you have chosen, they all harmonize very well. Thank you for sharing. Have a good week.
Stunning painting! Throughly enjoyed it! Hubby’s video skills were missed but hey ho you managed to gives us a delightful view of your amazing work. 👏👏👏😍
Lovely painting. I hope you will do more interiors in the future. Thank you for sharing your journey. Would have liked to see more of your subject as you painted the window - it was a bit too much off camera. But great watching you. Can you tell us more about your patron, please?
Hello, I agree it would have been better to have the whole subject I was painting in frame but the window included made my painting to dark to see. So I had to film it like that. Appreciate your thoughts though. I will do more interiors 😊 Patreon it like the old fashioned way of supporting artists. You pay an amount like £2 and each month it will be paid to me. It’s a way of me being paid for the videos I make. Without charging people to watch them. Hope that makes sense? Best, Clare
Hi Clare & Nick, This indoor painting is a delightfully superb piece of artwork. I really like the tonal range of colours you have used to create this rendition of the interior of your home. I love the way you masterfully play with paint and emphasise the light and darks to create wonderful tonal contrasts across the whole scene. However, I could not help noticing on this occasion Clare, that the right hand side of your amazing work might benefit more from a darker shadow between the fireplace and the right side of the armchair, not wanting to be critical of a skilled artist like you, just an observation that may give more definition to the right side which I feel needs more emphasis. Apologies if I am wrong! 😎👍🖐️
Hi Paul thanks so much for your suggestion. The emphasis is the window and chair going too dark else where may draw your eye to that area. I appreciate your thoughts 😊🎨best, Clare
Very nice video! Why do you use permanent rose in place of alizarin crimson? I have never heard you mention alizarin. I would be interested in a list of brushes you use from Rosemary. Maybe they would put a set together with your name on it :)
Hello, I use permanent rose instead of A. crimson because it’s a great mixer, not as strong as A.C warmer in colour too. Nice idea re brushes! If you would email or message Rosemaryandco as a suggestion it might help! 💛I will list my brushes on the next video. Best wishes Cx
Did you not think you needed more shadow to the right of the chair? You have put quite a dark shadow underneath but not to the right. Otherwise enjoyed your video, thanks.
To the Itinerant Two, You will have to return home, eventually..... Good Job, Clare. Voice recording levels fell off, periodically. Guess you were moving away from the Mike. I think, Nick, once the Lady 'cracks' the recording aspects - for you, the writing will be on the wall! Stay safe. Ant.
Hello Anthony - Nick will always have a place for the videoing & editing (take so long to do!!) and it’s nice to team up with him 💙 I’m glad you liked it, duly noted re sound levels 👩🎨🎨
Sorry about that Susan. Not sure why it was hard to hear me as we have recently bought expensive new mics! Pleased you are enjoying the videos, thank you for watching! 📽♥️💙💜

You are so welcome Cristina! 👩🏻🎨📽😊
Everyone sees it different, there was a lovely warm reflected light int he bottom corner of the cushion, but hey what a beautiful outcome!
Hi Philip you are right everyone sees things differently and the artist will emphasise and minimise certain things too. Thank you for your thoughts 😊
Gorgeous Clare, simply gorgeous this cozy interior! Congratulations on this lovely work.😍😍😍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

So very lovely! How do you decide the colors outside the window?
Thank you, really as I decide the colours inside the room! The focus has to be inside! ❤️
