Was there myself ,probs the best night I've ever had at Glastonbury. 5 years of fence jumping and met an old hippy who gave our 15+ strong crew free trips .haha.
my dad was very drunk that night and if you listen to the beginning of this video at about 8 seconds you can hear him scream come on well I think it's him
Bowie is my favourite and was also fantastic! I've got the 2 CD/DVD Bowie Glastonbury 2000 but haven't watched it for a while. Gonna dig it out tonight!
@@2wheelsonline It was a special moment in rock n roll history. Even Michael Eavis said he was the best headline act ever. I probably agree & I was lucky enough to go five times from 91-2000.
I was there. The whole set was amazing. The fact Death In Vegas were on for 2 hours before just built the intensity to boiling point by the time they opened with Dub Gussett
Most of the office I was working at were there but I bailed out due to bad health. I missed so much good music including one of my all time favourites, David Bowie 😭
@@Stu-The-Cue Totally agree! I've still got some of the other coverage on VHS and a lot of the audio I've converted to mp3. Glastonbury 2000 was the first time I'd heard of Bentley Rhythm Ace ... ua-cam.com/video/wDYUlQEpGKU/v-deo.html
@@2wheelsonline BRA the absolute mut's nuts, still the best festival I ever went to. There were too many acts to mention. Still have the programme somewhere.
Now aged 66 and wishing the same as you! Most of my likes are for rock and punk but Leftfield blew me away, great innovation and perfect for the likes of Glasto!
2000 was also the first year my dad and uncle came he was drunk but he was dancing till dawn so he remembers it well some people two rows back said whatever he's on I want to
It was one hell of a show, but had seen them a couple of months earlier at an indoor venue (Sheffield Octagon) and the sound was the most intense I've ever heard at a gig. I could feel my organs jangling during Phat Planet.
Listening to this from 2000 and then in Vanilla Sky in 2001, it makes you wonder... Did EDM improve or go downhill. Sorry Tiesto. But this freaking slaps!
I was only 13-14 When this came out and I really wish I could have been exposed to some bigger raves and stuff. I hung around ravers in Southern California when I was about 19 and that was fun. But all we did was a little miniature house parties and I never got to go to any raves with them. But we did rave at the house. We did play dope tracks and we we zoned out. We danced a bit. We freaking We're rolling so hard and it was my first time doing it. And I remember at Blue Dolphins where the first ones we dropped. Southern California was more leaning towards drum and bass. They liked trans, but drum and bass, and a lot of it. And so I was exposed to some trans, mostly drum and bass and jumble, and had the time of my life on LSD, playing drum and bass. The parties we had were just funny as hell, trippy as hell, and good times. And I wish I could have gone to events like this. I mean, left field is incredible.
I was wondering why they weren't showing more of the crowd, before I realised that there was probably an unphotogenic level of gurning going on in the front row...
Gotta be one of the best nights of my life!!!! 🤩
me too!
Me too as well 😂 I jumped the fence, like most 😂 but boy was it an experience 😂
I was there. Mitsubishis flowing freely. Atmosphere was perfect. Westher was good. Amazing

I was there, very drunk too… it sounds like me 🤣.
Me and the old man might need to arm wrestle it out 🤣
2000 was a phenomenal year. I was there for 4 days. Last year of getting over the wall too😂

I could've gone, as the rest of the office did, but I was ill 😥

There's a special place in hell reserved for the TV producer who cut out seconds before the climax of Song of Life.
