Hello, can I purchase 1 camera only? I switch back and forth from a tour pack and a luggage rack and would like a camera permanently mounted on each. Thanks for your time…..
No, the kit only comes complete with 2 cameras. You can disable 1 camera when in use. You can also mount the rear camera somewhere besides the tour pack. One potential location is upfront on the dash facing the rear (right behind the windshield) this will provide an image of you riding the bike and what is behind you, or you can also mount it between the fender and the rear bag area. Fitment will vary based on your bike's setup. the camera can be rotated 360 inside its mount to offer more installation options. Thanks!
Thanks for the reply. Let me clarify my question: So I would like to purchase an additional camera for a total of 3. I would use 2 cameras at a time but would like 1 camera permanently mounted on my tour pack. So when I pull off the tour pack, I would still have a rear camera on the bike.
@@danielsaudi9121 The STZ-RF200WD is sold as a complete kit with 2 cameras. The cameras can not be purchased separately., and are not compatible with other types of cameras. I would recommend mounting the rear camera in a location that does not affect the tour pack. Thanks!
It is a really fun product! FYI the shots of the Kawasaki Z650 are from my own motorcycle! I started riding in Nov 2021, and it's been a great tool to help improve my abilities! Make sure to check out the other STZ-RF200WD videos for some more mounting ideas! Thanks!
John- It has an onboard mic that is built into the black box, It is great for picking up ambient noise and mechanical sounds from the vehicle. Due to its variable location during installation, its audio performance can be affected for better or worse. For example, if it's mounted under a seat on a motorcycle, it will be muted on the environmental sound but pick up the mechanical sound like a gear shift, brake input, and exhaust quite well. If you are looking for something with great audio for Vlogging Take a look at our KCA-HX7C, it has crystal clear audio and a 4k camera as well if that is what you are looking for. Thanks!
I have this system on my Goldwing and finally found time to use / play around with it. I don’t like that there is NO “ OFF MODE”, it’s always on. Also, you can NOT use the APP or make any changes UNLESS your around WIFI, this should have been made Bluetooth. Also, it looks like the MAX record time file is 3 minutes, it makes a separate file / recording every 3 minutes ?? Why ? Is there no Firm Ware update yet ? Mine is v1.0501
The system was designed to be automatic and start recording as soon as it is powered on like a dashcam. Often one of the most significant issues of "action" camera users is they forget or don't press record, and completely miss something they wanted to record. As a Dashcam/action camera system, it was essential to eliminate that issue. The system also runs automatically and deletes old files as it puts down new footage, so no worries if you are simply riding and don't really care to capture and keep everyday stuff, but the system is still rolling in case of an event. A wifi connection is required for both changes to the system and for downloading video, you do NOT need a connection to the internet to view files. A wifi connection is also the only way you can view files from the receiver to the smartphone, Bluetooth cannot transfer video. The ability to view files from a smartphone with a wifi connection also means it's best to keep recorded files "short" so you can view them without the tremendous "Load" times, it could take to view a longer length file. It's also important to note that once you have viewed the file and you want to download multiple files to your smartphone, it will ask if you would like to combine them into one larger file. All of these features are intended to make viewing files convenient in comparison to pulling out an SD card and using a computer to view files as the primary option. Thanks!

YES! Where there is a will, there is a way.
Where can I buy that rack extension to mount the front camera?
it was a custom-built mount per the customer's request for mounting and is not required for mounting. Thanks!
