I'd like to think it's because she realized he's not putting on an act, he's genuinely a loveable goof. He dosen't do anything unless he 100% means to do it, even if it's pretty dumb or silly but he also really cares about the people around him. He also has the ability to make her laugh. When her ex boyfriends made fun of her for "hanging out with that meathead" she told them she has way better time with Andy.
Who ever hated Andy? I almost gave up one the show early on but kept watching it because of Andy. Glad I didn’t stop watching, I ended up loving the show.
