Love how it turned out. I’ve just started a tin, I’ve covered the whole of the outside so far. Now the fun begins on the designing. I would like a steampunk style though I have a large butterfly I want to add to it.
Thanks for watching Robyn, they are so useful and look so pretty, I get lots of compliments for other ones I've created, just didn't film it, was before I had my channel 😁
@@GailJonesPolymerClay the same as you would do it with glass, I cut the tube in two put clay on and bake, you need to put a bottom on one of them :) or you could put the plastik lid on after baking, with glue
That is so pretty!!!!! I love the color. I didn’t realize we could put tin in the oven. I don’t know why I thought that tin under clay would burn. I don’t know why I always thought that.
Hey! Thanks for watching & thank you! I put everything in the oven directly if I can get away with it! I always bake at a lower temp for longer in the oven, too. Just lately, I have also been turning off the oven & letting it cool inside, too 😁 both things ensure it doesn't burn or cool down too quickly 🥰
Aww, thanks for watching Ellie! I just wanted to add all of my ideas on this one tin, but I settled for a simple design, but I've got many more ideas! I didn't want to buy too many as 1 tin was £7 on amazon! Just too much! 😁
Super cool, as far as the stones go 🤷♀️ no clue that the name of them are. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 so I’m with ya there. A glass bobble. 🤣🤣🤣to fun. 😃 Tfs hugs from across the pond. Hope ya have ether long set resin if you have UV resin it will be a 4-6 hours in a sunny window or porch, or a UV/LED lamp aka nail Lamp. lol ok that is all 😄
I think they are called cabochons? But for the life of me, I can't say it! Thanks for the tips on UV resin, I've got a nail lamp, going to try it out soon & film it at the same time! See what happens! I love doing that. I saw some reviews on the one I've got that there needs to be a crazy amount of ventilation, so I might need a mask.. Thanks for watching Karen!
Hi MandaB no, it's great. The tin I actually use daily and it goes in and out of my bag just fine -once cooled from the oven I secure with superglue, especially the little details & to secure the mica & glitter I used Deco art dura clear varnish - works great 😁
@@GailJonesPolymerClay thanks so much for the reply and feedback. I love your videos and appreciate all tbe time and effort it takes to share your tutorials/makes with everyone.
@MandaB aww thanks. Sometimes I do wonder what people think,so that's really good to hear! I enjoy it, have fun but it's a very time-consuming hobby 😉 There's a new video out Wednesday :)
Love the idea using a tin, beautiful, thank you!
Thank you! Yes it's great and I'm still using it to this day! 😁

Thank you! Ohh I love steam punk! I made a horse in a steam punk style, it might give you some ideas! 😁
I love this! I have a whole box full of silver boxes like this! Oooooh! The possibilities! Thanks for sharing!!!

Lovely, I also use tuna tins and pringle tubes, sweets boxes will work too
Ooh. Yeah I hadn't thought of that! How do you bake a pringle tube though? 🫢😁

Very creative thanks for sharing. 👍

Hi Gail, that is so lovely. I just picked up a little tin myself and you've given me some great ideas! Thanks

Very good, I like it alot.💕💕👍
Thank you, Judi! I loved this one too 😁❤️
This is absolutely fabulous!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 😁😁
Very pretty Gail, thank you
Thanks for watching Leona! 😊😊
I just wondered if you cured it in the oven with the lid on or laid it in two separate pieces?
Hey! Ahulagirl! I baked it separately with the lid off, or it might have stuck together, haha 😆😅
Sooo cool. You do not have to use liquid polymer clay to adhere anything to the box?
Thank you so much 😊 no, it sticks right on with out liquid clay. And I still have the tin & use it to this day. Very secure design 👌

Do you have to bake the clay after you are done designing?
Yeah, you bake it all together, the tin goes on the oven. I use electric oven at 100c. I think that's about 180f I bake for 45 mins to 1 hour 😁
@@GailJonesPolymerClay thank you so much!
Does the polymer clay ever detach itself from the tin. I'm wanting to try a tin with a screw lid but worry it will come off with frequent use.

They are called marbles.
Additional directions would be helpful.
I have a show & tell section after the tutorial. Of course, you're also welcome to ask questions? I can help with anything you don't understand 😁
Don’t use super glue. Use liquid clay.
Yeah so true-Used liquid clay, they fell off, hate superglue, love the long lasting effects 🤣
