Gorgeous, even the test pieces, and looks like you had tons of fun making these. Tfs hugs from across the pond.

Hello Gail-wow what a fantastic idea you came up with and it works so well I think it turned out absolutely beautiful and I agree that the mica powder and glitter incorporated the paper right into the design and it
doesn’t look like paper at all. Another amazing project thank you

Thank you Ellie! I liked getting out all the mica and glitter again! I was surprised at how much of a small amount of liquid polymer clay is needed to cover the paper & make it bakeable! Was a good fun!😁

Thank you Maggie! I liked the square ones for the testers, I'm glad I tested it first as I would have covered the paper in polymer clay first & then stuck them on, so this seemed to work. Haha I've got some of those wobbly eyes, I'll do that 😆 thanks for watching Maggie 🥰

interesting idea to immortalize an original drawing or zen-tangle one might do. Were you paper test pieces all done with printer type paper? Just wondering if this will work with heavyweight paper........a project to add to my 'to do" list! Thanks! I have been away from polymer clay for a bit going off on a quilling tangent but P C is calling me back... I very much enjoy your videos. I liked the black and white paper one that looked most like a zen-tangle. Not sure I would be inclined to use paper with clay on a jar as i like the variants one can do using translucent clay on glass so I am glad you did choose to include your test paper pieces with LC on this video.

Yes it was an interesting concept to me as well, so I thought I would try it. All of the patterns were printed normally as if printing a document, nothing special used at all. I've always like the look of zentagles, but I have always been a clay fan, over paper. I have tried to draw for many years & it doesn't come naturally to me, I'm definitely suited to sculpting in clay! Yes I see what you mean about the concept of paper on polymer clay, it does seem odd, which is why I did the test pieces, I was quite surprised! Thank you for watching Donna! I'm glad you enjoy them.

For the test pieces, what if you cured the polymer clay and paper between 2 tiles and then added the liquid clay and cured it with a heat gun? I wonder how hot you could get the oven without scorching the paper. Did you test this?

I haven't tested this one with higher temperatures, but I have accidently left something in the oven longer than I normally do with liquid polymer clay & that didn't burn, so with that, I'm thinking so long the paper has a layer of liquid polymer clay on it before it goes in to the oven it's protected & comes out fine. It might be worth testing it out first like I did on smaller pieces to see if it can withstand the heat. I haven't ever used a heat gun to cure liquid polymer clay, so I'm going to try that!

I'm using premo, how hot can I get this as the premo cures at 275?

So long as you completely cover the paper with liquid polymer clay, it should be fine. It might be worth doing a test piece? I've always baked polymer clay at a much lower temperature than suggested on the packet. I always bake at a lower temp, for longer, rather than higher temp for a shorter time. Hope that helps :)
