After watching the whole series, I'm very impressed. As I commented on the first episode, you kept the spirit of the real Star Wars, and although I love many fan films, you came closest to the vision of George Lucas himself, and that's what I really love to see.

Nachdem ich nun alle Teile angesehen habe, bin ich begeistert. Das muss viel Arbeit gewesen sein und jeder der meckert und sagt, dass sie schlecht ist, meckert auf hohem Niveau.

This was really great work, I thoroughly enjoyed the story, the characters and their interactions and development, the effects, the scenes and settings, the costumes and makeup…just super! The effort that was put into making this series was so appreciated.
Hab alle Folgen durch und ich muss sagen ich bin absolut beindruckt. Am Anfang haben mich die Effekte noch gestört, da sie so offensichtlich waren, aber durch die gute Story fällt es nach kurzer Zeit ganicht mehr auf. Vielen Dank für dieses Meisterwerk!

What an amazing fan film it was. My problem with these days fan films - even with the technically well made ones - that they dont take the imaginition and risk to create an interesting plot; rather they choose to make it look like a decent, professional short film; but it laks the story. And this fan film, felt like the good old Star Wars fan films, like Dark Ressurection - even it had better visuals, but felt less like Star Wars than this -, Threads of Destiny, Revelations, Light in the Darkness. Man, those were they days, and this is originally from that era.
And this stands out with its built locations, homages of the classic and EU characters, and it has a decent story to be told. Not just a dramatic short film.
so it was really a good nostalgy trip, I loved it. Eventhough it was far from percet, It was real Star Wars.
WOW, that was great feedback. You wouldn't believe how good it feels to read something so wonderful after all these years of work. And yes , actually your mentioned fan films are exactly the ones that served as inspiration and motivation for us. And actually we wanted to release our film at that time era as well. It just took a little longer. So this is the first time capsule film from the early 2000s :-) Thank you for letting us entertain you.

WOW! Unglaublich was da geleistet wurde. Hätte ich bei einem Fan-Film nicht für möglich gehalten. Coole Story, alles sehr authentisch. Die Trickeffekte haben tlw. an die Star Trek Classic-Zeit erinnert, aber das hat ja auch was;) Auf alle Fälle ein Meisterwerk. Respekt!

Better than the sequels they are just infinities set in a alternate universe or timeline Legends timeline is the true timeline for the Skywalker saga & always will be it's time for a multiverse that way everyone gets what they want and Disney can make double or triple their money because that's all they care about & we can see more Grandmaster Luke Skywalker and his New Jedi Order with true Skywalker/Solo descendants and decent characters like Kyp Durron Mara Jade & Jacen and Jaina Solo if Disney don't bring it back it will be up to fans like you with a passion for Star Wars lore it would be great to see someone turn the Legends novels into fan films or web series but surely Disney should realise their mistakes and bring back Legends timeline & retcon the sequels because there are already 2 timelines that exist since Ezra created a new timeline when he saved Ahsoka so make a world between worlds multiverse but if they don't hopefully someone like yourself with a passion will do more keep up the good work

Here’s a review of the series:
Many of the backgrounds blew me away because of how beatiful they looked. The plot is really solid. Characters are ok. Some cringe dialogue here and there, and ”empty” acting. But that’s just how it is. The Twilek was a really good character imo and the actor for him did a really good performance. Easter eggs to for example original trilogy really blew me away. A highlight for me was definitely the snow planet(was that Hoth?).
Overrall really enjoyed this fan film. It introduced some great new aspects. If we’re looking this from a the point of view of what you tried to achieve, 9.5/10. Compared to offical star wars, 6/10, since obviously it is really hard to reach those kinds of stantards in a fan film. Good luck to possible future projects!
Thank you very much for the honest and, despite everything, good feedback. Yes, we have indeed learned a lot in the 16 years and would do things differently and perhaps better today. But since there is already an idea for another small film, we will do our best to learn from the mistakes. Nice to read that you had fun with the film. Because that... is actually all we wanted :-)

Thank you for the lovely comment ! Firstly, there are lots of little making-of videos on our channel, which I'm sure you'll enjoy. As for the future, we have a few ideas, but that will be a smaller (Star Wars and more) project. But of course there will also be something BIG. Our two main characters will play an important role in a fan film, which is already being worked on by a film team of friends. As soon as there is news, you will know :-)

Good, satisfying end. I want this to be canon...somehow. I don't know how exactly...but, there must be a way this history/lore can be refashioned and compartmentalized in to the actual official saga. (This needs to become a Star Wars: Visions anime vignette of some sort.) Even the score is good, and John Williams-esque. Of course, the bloopers, at the end, are perfectly hilarious. So, I'm guessing, English is virtually everyone's -- in the cast and crew -- Second Language? It's great that you can revert from English to your native language. Thank you, and May The Force Be With You...
If YOU want this movie to be canon, then it IS ! In your head and in your heart, that's all you need! Regarding the language: Even though we speak all English, we don't do it without an accent. That's why I had all the dialogues dubbed by professional English and American voice actors. You can find their names in brackets behind the actors in the credits.
@@poodooFXTeam Oh, so that's why the double names are listed in the credits. I wasn't sure what that meant. For a time, I thought they were real and stage names listed. The dubbing gave the entire miniseries a Japanese Godzilla-styled dialogue to the experience. Yes, I am trying to work some of this in to my head canon, as well as official canon, cause this is too interesting to not do so. I wonder if Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and George "The Maker" Lucas have seen (or know about) this? I hope they have.
Personally, I think too many people get too wrapped-up in what is "canon" or not. The Star Wars Universe is a BIG place, I think we can all play around in it for a while. I do try to keep the overall time-line straight, but that's difficult by itself sometimes.
@@jedironin380 True, but, for me, if the story really doesn't fit in to George's universe, I lose a lot of interest. I always stayed away from The EU, because if George considered it separate from his official universe and storyline, it would, for the most part, just be corporately sanctioned fan fiction, nothing more. However, after the trainwreck that is The ST (and much of Obi-Wan Kenobi, sadly), I have been slowly getting in to certain major volumes in The EU, still with the caveat that it has to be relatively commensurate with George's overall galactic/narrative/characterization design. When it fits, it's a great addition to The SWU, and makes things even more imaginative, intriguing, and expansive.

I really have to say that I am super impressed with how Durka turned out. I love the Twi'leks of TBOBF, but I think YOU (!) have totaly captured the vibe of the species/culture with Durka. I really didn't get the mechanics of the mask though ^.^ I hope you can explain that on the NFC coming up, sadly I can't be there this weekend, if you explain it to Radio Tatooine, BMB or AA I will check it out.

Thanks for this movie. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Nar Shaddaa looked very beautiful. One question: In the credits, it mentions an Ord Mantell scene incl. the names Han Solo and Hera Syndulla. I don't recall that scene. Did I miss it? Was it cut? If cut, is there any raw material available to show us? Ord Mantell is my favourite Star Wars planet, that's why I'm curious.
Thank you for your great feedback. However, Ord Mantell was not cut out, it is indeed a mistake in the credits. In the first script version Ord Mantell was planned, when the designs for the planet and the roads were finalised, we thought that Nar Shaddaa would be better suited, as it is also Hutt Terretorium. Nevertheless, Han Solo and Hera Syndulla are included in the film as Easter Eggs, as are many others (e.g. Mickey Mouse, E.T., an alien facehugger, Mara Jade and many more). You can see Han Solo (in ANH outfit) talking to a smuggler in the Nar Shadaa street scene on the far left and hanging on the wall in Durka's flat as a mini Carbonite version. Hera Syndulla and Chopper are arguing on Yavin IV in the background when the Elder offers the way into the Jedi Archives. So have fun watch it again :-)

Nachdem ich inzwischen alle Teile gesehen habe, ebenso wie das ganze Drumherum, würde ich gerne noch etwas fragen, wenn möglich. Ich kann mich erstmal nur wiederholen - was ihr da in Eigenproduktion in reiner Fanarbeit und ohne Finanzierung irgendeines Studieos auf die Beine gestellt habt ist gigantisch! Unglaublich! Absolut faszinierend! Das einzige "Manko", wenn ich das mal so sagen kann, ist die Limitierung der Qualität von UA-cam Veröffentlichungen. Nicht in der Bildqualität, aber beim Ton. Mehr als ein simples Stereo ist da leider nicht drin. Wurde das gesamte Projekt tatsächlich "nur" in Stereo gedreht, oder doch in Mehrkanalton wie heute Standard? Und falls ja, wäre eine solche Fassung irgendwie erhältlich?

Was für ein Jammer, daß ich nicht dieses Glück hatte Euer Projekt auch in dieser Kinovorführung gesehen zu haben, das muß absolut gigantisch gewesen sein. Ebenso gigantisch wie eben der Unterschied zwischen Stereo und 5.1 Kanal Sound. Da freue ich mich schon wahnsinnig darauf das dann nochmal neu zu entdecken... 😍

aber was ist eigentlich mit dem fan projekt "tydirium shuttle" passiert?
hatte vor jahren mal gelesen, dass die sich mit euch vereinigt haben.
aber letztendlich ist ja von dem tydirium story arc scheinbar gar nichts mehr uebrig geblieben.
Das Shuttle in unserem Film heißt "Triodes", wir haben es extra "anderes" benannt um eben nicht dem der Story des anderen Fanfilms "TYDIRIUM" zu kolidieren. Da wir ja in einem gemeinsamen Fan-Universe spielen war uns das sehr wichtig. TYDIRIUM ist aber eben zum Teil eine Forsetzung, hat aber einen ganz anderen Fokus, spielt ja auch viel später. Ich freue mich sehr Bib Burka als alten grimmigen Twi`lek wiederzusehen. WANN jedoch TYDIRIUM erscheint kann ich Dir leider nicht sagen, da es von einem anderen Team produziert wird.

The effects are top notch, the costumes are top notch, the actors are great with the exception of the main character. His acting is as stiff and lifeless as he is. The Anakin/Obiwan voice accent emulation was cheap and way over the top. The parallels between this and the original story was a little bit too on the nose. Twi'liks don't grow hair like mammals. Other than these gripes, I enjoyed watching the series.
Thank you for the honest criticism, which I of course accept and respect. But regarding acting, please remember that we are only amateurs and have no acting or film school training. The Alec Guiness style in the dubbing was of course intentional and the fact that Bub Durka wears a beard I would call "artistic freedom" :-) But the most important thing for me is that you seem to have enjoyed the series despite everything, and THAT makes me very happy!

Too advanced to be called amateurs because most novice home projects turn my stomach. Again, this was a most enjoyable series to watch. I even plan on watching it again with my wife. story ein einziges logikloch, musik während handlung, ok, aber keine einzige melodie bleibt im kopf, geschweige denn versuchen die komponisten irgendwie an dem original drannzubleiben, main titel ein desaster. es gibt genug beispiele in spielen dass man durchaus nach williams klingen kann ohne eine melodie zu kopieren. speciaeffects angagiert aber sehr laienhenhaft, schnitt manchmal völlig merkwürdig, sieht aus als da was wegen werbung rausgeschnitten wäre. dialoge zu lang und langweilig, überhaupt nicht star wars mässig. lichtset inkonsekvent. drehorte, setextensions, props, kostüme, und überhaupt der aufwand grossartig, und tröstet über die schwächen hinweg. insgesamt amüsant und kurzweilig wenn man sich darauf einlässt, bei anderen filmen habe ich immer vorgespult. ein gewisser mitreiss effekt ist durchaus vorhanden. mehr gefühl für handlung und weniger drehortoverload wäre besser gewesen.
Danke, dass Du die Serie bis zur letzten Episode durchgeschaut hast, dann scheint sie ja so schlecht nicht gewesen zu sein :-) Bez. Score ist das so eine Sache. Natürlich klingen Scores von Star Wars Games eher nach dem Original, da ja auch Firmen wie Electronic Arts und Co. diverse Kooperationen mit Lucasfilm haben und somit den Williams Score benutzen oder sehr ähnliche Melodien komponieren dürfen. Um als privates Projekt keine Ansprüche seitens LF bzw. der deutschen Gema (!) zu bekommen, mussten wir uns deutlich weiter absetzen vom Original. Und aus meiner Sicht ist dies den beiden Komponisten sogar meisterhaft gelungen. Hör Dir einfach nochmal den Score in Ruhe an und urteile dann:

Auf den Rest Deines Kommentars möchte ich nicht weiter eingehen. Ich schätze offene Worte und auch harte Kritik, aber Dein Feedack ist mir persönlich leider zu pauschal und vor allem zu aggresiv.
Es gibt nicht nur fanboys, sorry. Bei dem Aufwand hättet ihr mal etwas selbstkritischer sein können, es gibt ei Haufen fanfilme die handwerklich wesentlich besser sind. Möglicherweise waren da auch eher welche vom Fach am Werk.
