For the all too briefest of moments, in my minds eye, it was 1977 and I was 10 sitting in a cinema again, waiting for the beginning of a wonderful cinematic saga, thank you for bringing that time back to me.
I felt the same magic and awe as well. It reminded me of walking out of the theater in 1977 and saying to my siblings, “Wow. What if something like that really did happen a long time ago in a galaxy far far away? Congrats for making this film, Mr. Hawkins. You are a Star Wars fan. I think George Lucas would be proud.
I found this because my fan film was just accepted into the Azure Lorica fan film festival and I was curious about who won last year, and oh my god this is INCREDIBLE. I am genuinely in awe, my jaw was to the floor through pretty much the entire film. The writing and acting was great, so many nice references, the visuals had me SHOOK, especially at the end, and just overall the story was so seamless that it felt more like a full-length movie than a 20 minute short. Very very well done. Im excited to see what brilliant things you come up with in the future!

As a person who is writing fan films and in the process of beginning to make them. I love this as a SW fan and a fan films fan. How you mixed in into more modern time it's something I've always wanted to see. Thank you for your great content
I heard about this from the In love with the Process podcast. I never got to see the trailer and I went into it with zero expectations. It was a fantastic looking piece! All your actors and set design was spot on. Heck, even the audio design was fantastic. Great job guys, I hope the big wigs who rule the industry will recognize your teams abilities!
This truly was a brilliant idea and extremely well done. Won't be a sequel or a prequel, we got everything we needed in 20 minutes. If only crews like the one involved in making this could be doing some Star Wars content with a Hollywood budget for the big screen, how amazing would that be?!?

How am i just now finding this? Fantastic movie! Thanks so much!!!
This is like a love letter to all Star Wars fans. I loved it. Amazing job!
Man, this is GOLD. Little George grew up with stories that people dismissed as fantasy. An actual fan made George Lucas Origin that actually works! Better than the sequels for certain.
We wanted to do something a little different and unique and you totally got it. Thanks for watching! 🙌
The dump my dog took this morning is better looking than the soulless cash grabbing sequels.
@@StarWarsOriginsFilm lol you guys are crazy! This was good!
Omg, will everyone just stop, the sequels will be fixed.
@@magellanthecat Ok, here it goes. It took me awhile to gather my thoughts to be as precise and not boring as possible, so here it goes. Format #1: Do the entire series (1-9) in the Star Wars for kids format. All the mistakes, all the tweaks, additions and sound track mods can be made in house.
Format 2: Do the entire series in the Avatar comp. gen. format. Fix the mistakes, fix the inconsistency, everything. If you think this is too crazy, please respond. If you think this is a possibility, please tell me also and what we can do to set this in motion.
Wherever there is undying love, respect, and reverence for the genius known as George Lucas...I will be there. Incredible job with this film. Thank you for making it.
Wow! What an incredible short film. Great acting, great camera work, great CGI and visuals, great editing. This was an all around very professionally made film. This film and team deserves so much attention and praise for this gem that they’ve created here. Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau need to see this for sure. Thank you for this, it was amazing.
You’re welcome! Thanks for the lovely words. MTFBWY!
i wasn’t paying attention at first and then i started hearing AK-47s and was like “wait.. what? I clicked a star wars video” lol!
No Ak... this is the 40s. Those are mp38 german sub guns. Generic machine guns, a p38 pistol and 2 very vietnam era tanks lol. Can't really wag a finger at the creators though...panzers are hard to come by. ;)
(ANY tank is hard to come by so kudos to them for making it work)
They shoot as well and effectively as storm troopers.
😄 I was looking for this comment.
Sandpeople...
The Nazi Stormtroopers*, too.
* Sturmabteilung en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sturmabteilung
Edward Miessner I would say they are much closer to the SS, which is the Schutzen Staffel.
Fun fact: modern day weapons like that have an accuracy of 1 in 10,000
That was SO good. Absolutely spectacular. Well done to everyone involved.
I love how they mix different movie elements with today’s disclosure narrative. Excellent!
For the all too briefest of moments, in my minds eye, it was 1977 and I was 10 sitting in a cinema again, waiting for the beginning of a wonderful cinematic saga, thank you for bringing that time back to me.
This is so wonderful! My favourite comment so far.
Sensitive the force, The human girl is.
Called the saber to her hand, she did.
With in the human girl is the force
good Jedi grammar you have. Smile i did.
Also noticed that I have. A real treat this was.
Within **ALL** creatures, the Force is...
Congrats on being accepted! It’s a great festival! Appreciate your kind words about the film and look forward to seeing yours! 👍
@@StarWarsOriginsFilm Ahh thank you so much! That means the world, very much appreciate you responding and I'm very excited for it :)
How about a link to your movie?
A whole new concept to Long ago and Far Far away ! This short was every bit as exciting as any of the full length Star Wars movie......and a great movie within itself , impressive ! Keep em coming !!
I'm a 24 year old man and I sat here the whole time even after 5 viewings already yet I still have that childlike wonder while watching. Love the nods to everything and was that a Star Trek reboot nod there at the end? Love it guys.
I like all the little references here and there.. very well made fan film I hope to see more from you guys!
Thanks!
Absolutely magical... wow. Showing this to everyone I know!
The acting in this is absolutely phenomenal. I’m pretty blown away, felt like Hollywood talent.
Awesome film! The effects of the star destroyer rising out of the desert sands was epic.
As a person who is writing fan films and in the process of beginning to make them. I love this as a SW fan and a fan films fan. How you mixed in into more modern time it's something I've always wanted to see. Thank you for your great content
Wow amazing short. Fits so easily into starwars lore. Deserves a movie of its own.
this just ow poped up on my feed. and after watching it. i have too say this is brilliant!! love the video!
Thanks!
I knew Star Wars was real this whole time!
So did George! 😉
That’s what I said!!
Totally true.
Quick, check our midacolorians! Also no wonder he sucks at writing... the story he originally told was true, and the rest he tried making up himself.
well, we did create the first real lightsaber... finally
This was amazing! Hints at Indiana Jones, and the various little easter eggs...man you all did a great job. Love it!
☺️☺️
What a beautiful tribute; thank you.
“Honey, I know you’re pregnant and all, but I really want to run to Tashche Station to buy some power converters.”
😂😂
You're a nurf herder
And maybe on the way make the Kessel run in 11 parsecs?
This truly was a brilliant idea and extremely well done. Won't be a sequel or a prequel, we got everything we needed in 20 minutes. If only crews like the one involved in making this could be doing some Star Wars content with a Hollywood budget for the big screen, how amazing would that be?!?
It would be amazing.... ;)
This is incredible - as far as I'm concerned, this is canon for both the Star Wars universe and our own. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece of a story with us.
We invent the canon... ;) Thank you.
this is impossible to be canon, it contradicts canon on multiple levels..
even the title itself contradicts established canon
Wtf how can you think that this is canon
Y'all need to chill out, I was just trying to compliment a very well-made fanfilm ☺
@@benyiz5534 the star wars universe is so big and massive so this movie makes so much sense, there different planets with other life on them, than you got planet earth

Now this is pod racing! Seriously though, that is the best Star Wars fan film I've ever seen. So original, very well done!
Yes, well done. Wonder if Disney knows what that even means anymore.
Love it! use of classic lines from all the films was a great touch~! VFX are amazing. The story was wonderful Hope to see more
Wow dude, did they just surpassed the "I'm your father" with that "let's name him George??? Made me cry after they made me laugh and surprised with the mix of the two franchises. Excellent!
🙌🙌
@ Octarine Code Force or maybe farce will be with You
This movie beat all I now about plothing story teller credible scene visual effects....At least female pregnant was a good actress...
No, they did not surpass Vader’s reveal. That was an iconic moment and one of the greatest cinematic scenes in all of sci-fi.
"Better not call him Walt" is another phrase that makes sense. ;)
I love how my guy found a spaceship and totally forgot his girl was still in trouble 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ha! I would.... 😉 (Actually, it’s on autopilot so he’s not that much of an idiot)
It's a guy thing! All my life any woman I was with hated science fiction. Payback is hell!
I got so excited about the originality and craft of this, that I had to hit pause to tell you how excited I am. 53 year old Cat Lady... and STILL a Star Wars dork.
And then I had to do it again at 8:42. This is BRILLIANT. Right down to the references and leitmotif in the score. Soooo good. Soooo smart. Somebody reads Joseph Campbell. And boy does the UA-cam algorithm have me right. (Crazy Cat Lady claps and claps.)
And again...GOOSEBUMPS when she gets the lightsaber. (Cat Lady performs internal happy dance.)
And Jamie out-Fords Ford!! Such a good actor. (Cat Lady sighs and sheds one single tear of joy.)
Crimes, y’all even worked a Star Trek reference in there...seamlessly!! Who are you people??!! The Force is strong in you. (Cat Lady chokes back a sob.)
“I love you.”
“I know.”
Cue leitmotif.
(Cat Lady weeps.)
This was awesome in so many levels….. just wau and thank you!!
Making a Star Wars movie and mixing it with feeling of Indiana Jones and Stargate without it being feeling forced. I want to learn more of this story, the story of these characters!
Such a wonderful achievement! As soon as I saw Marie Everett sitting at that desk looking like a young Carrie Fisher, I knew we were in for a treat. I wasn't expecting something as good as THAT, however!
kitano0 Glad you spotted our nod to Carrie with her hair. 😊
She REALLY does look like a young Carrie Fisher!
Popcorn ready! Nerves shot, throat dry, heart racking up the beats. I can't wait👍👍👍👍
You can't just tease us with such an awesome and galactic Fan Film!!! This was genius and original, unlike most fan films out there that jump into lightsaber action! This had depth! This had feeling! This had The Force! And...this has a very strong story yet to be told and completed!!!!!!! Please add more to this story!!!! COMPLETE IT!
Amazing job, biggest praise that I can give you is to share this. Hopefully someone can take this and run with it, maybe a series or a full length feature....
Well, we hope nobody just takes it and gives us a shout if they want a series. 😉 Thanks for sharing!
@@StarWarsOriginsFilm LMAO. I meant that hopefully someone would see this and reach out to you to take it to the next level, maybe a series. I'd definitely watch that!

Did Star Wars just make me cry? Impressive.
I kid you not, I got goosebumps at the "Lets name him George" part
_ Dad, who is the creator of this movie?

WOW!!! So awesome - just the SW film we actually needed!
Amazing work. I truly felt like it was the ultimate Indiana Jones/ Star Wars combination.
So many cool ways to reference the OT, without reusing it.
I would happily watch a full trilogy made by the Team who made this.
Great job👍
