What an amazing pilot and plane. That guy has so much skill not just in piloting but the tuning and maintenance and part of why I like electric planes. Keeping a gas plane flying so flawless inverted and with rolls etc isn't as easy as it appears. Also great camera work Abbie, that was such a great video and congratulations on the amazing new plane. I wouldn't be brave enough for a plane like that

Abby, I have watched a lot of RC plane videos and you seriously rank up there as one of the best. People may think that it it like taking a “normal” video but it is extremely difficult, you need to stay ahead of the plane, anticipate where it is going to travel and you have to do this in a small optical camera space while it is moving very fast so I just want to give you the credit you deserve. Nate, congratulations on your “new” Ultimate, I wish you the best and look forward to seeing more videos of your progress with it. My next plane will be the Seagull Ultimate 90 ARF if and when I can find one in stock.
I love flying around the older iMac and pattern guys....I mimic their routines and it makes me better at 3d because it teaches me to slow down and be precise and use finesse....they have alot of experience to share
The DA 150 is in my opinion the best RC engine that has ever been manufactured and Dave Johnson the owner of DA stands behind his products. I have owned many DA engines and I loved flying them. The Hanger 9 Ultimate is an awesome flying plane and you are going to enjoy having that combo. Congratulations and enjoy, just be sure to be careful because that engine has a lot of power!

I bought this plane in 2004 I think. Took me 10 years to gather all 16 servos at 100.00 a piece ,D.A 150 used 1500.00. And all the rest I cant remember lol... that first flight I was soon nervous!!! But very worth the small fortune... good job guys.. wish my wife would fly with me ...I'm working on it tho.
It's so cool to see an older gentleman able to do the thing he loves most and travel the world to do it! Beautiful aircraft, you kids are going to have a LOT of fun with it. Nothing beats the experience of a pro! BTW Nate, you need to change two things on this plane: 1) The 'U' seems to be missing on the lefthand side, and 2) you need to exchande the 'M' for an 'N' to get ULTINATE! :-D

Happy to see this video. Reminds me of some familiar maneuvers during a national competition in summer 2006 in Cebu, Philippines. Competed precision aerobatics- sportsman class which i long forgot already😅Plan to fly back again soonest. Love his Ultimate bipe!
I’ve owned one of these and an aeroworks….thought aero works would be an up grade! To my surprise the h9 hands down the sweetest bipe I ever owned. Love bipes but hate them equally, h9 is an exception….you are gonna love this plane. If they rerelease it i will buy one and this time I’ll never sell it. My inheritors will have to!
I think it's absolutely amazing that you asked him to come and take it for one final flight on the channel so that he can remember it forever and everybody can see it❤ A lot of people would have just been like thanks for the plane and then get on their super-giant UA-cam channel back what I got look what's mine mine all mine blah blah blah but not you guys you share the credit

Title scared me! Never ever say final flight!!! Nate, did you notice the snap rolls were on the horizontal, not stalled vertical? Just saying. I dig the reverse Cuban 8. Different than the Cuban 8 and inverted Cuban 8 I usually do. I'll have to add that one to my flight plan! Keep flying and sharing! Just avoid the wheels up landings, with and without retracts!!!😅
The engines go for about 1200 USD. The 120CC planes usually start around 1200 for a kit. After the electronics (not including transmitter), you would be looking at probably at least 5000 USD just to build it in today's market.
Congrats.....one question I bought the apprentice s trainer plane and on my first flight in safe mode it wanted to fly away and was loosening signal ....I had to chase it to regain control what could be the problem?
@@GregJ228 how can I control it when it wants to continue to fly straight even when I'm trying to bank left or right after take off.... I have to run after it in order to regain control like it's havening singal drops or something .
@@darkiee69 yes I would hold the bind on the dxs transmitter and toggle the switch like said in the manual ....what is weird I would stand back about 25 feet and do a range check and I would have no controls .....I would walk closer to the plane and have control over the plane.
They don’t even make this plane any more, so in many ways, priceless! 😬 Hard to put a number on it, though we did make a deal happen. I’m sure everyone would have a different number in mind, depending on various factors 👍😎⚓️
I am sure this Gentleman could have got a lot of money for this but a guy like that is more concerned about whom will be the custodian of the airplane more so than actual cash in his pocket that is just my interpretation of it but also none of my business . Ultimate 👍🏻
