Oh, man-oh-man, Nathan!!! ✨🤗✨ I am SO happy to FINALLY see you flying a GLOW engine plane. W T G , BUDDY!!! And you did SO well. When I was twelve (72 now), my very first plane was a kit-built balsa with an .049 glow engine. MEMORIES... they just started flooding back. And they made me so happy. Ya did GOOD, son.
WOW!! Nate, THAT plane DID lift you up...I could FEEL it in your silence!! An AWESOME moment for RC SAYLORS history!! Thank yourselves for SUCH a dynamic SHOW!! Hope to see more!! 💟👍😘
I can hear the joy in your bride and your voice! So amazing! Awesome smooth scale flight, clearly a wonder to share with us. Congrats! New baby, awesome family, awesome 46% flight and in general a prime example of all of the qualities modeling can grow with us all. You guys are truly ambassadors of the sport, quality of life and values. Thank you. -patrick
Hey guys, saw a thumbnail on my smart TV and I clicked on it and lo and behold it's you guys. Wow Nate what a beautiful plane. I just wanted to say I think Nate if anybody deserves something like that it's you and Abby. You provide me with 15 minutes of wonderful entertainment. It's almost as if you and Abby were my friends. Great flying and I wish you all the best. John from Canada
I started watching you when I first started flying 4 years ago. You helped me figure out my first plane, a Hobby Zone Carbon Cub S2. Now...., 4 years later I have gas powered giant scale planes that I fly. I just sold my little Cub last week! Welcome to the world of gas and giant scale. You will love it. That Ultimate flies beautifully. Seems to come in pretty slow for a 150cc powered plane. Very nice. Congratulations! That plane is a beauty. Now.... you will learn the fun job of transporting it. Time to buy an enclosed trailer! lol
Congratulations Nate. Great flight. Gas is awesome. Very happy for you. You have a great woman in Abbey you can hear in her voice the excitement for you and it’s awesome.
Nate, I've been enjoying your channel since I got back in to the hobby a couple years ago. Now that I'm older, and enjoying the ease and convenience of all the smaller planes with the newest tech, This brings me back to what the hobby was I enjoyed years ago. Nothin' quite like it, eh? Pretty friggin' sweet! And as usual and of course, kudos to Abby and her camera work. Looking forward to seeing some more footage of this plane.
Hi Guys, all the way from South Africa ( Port Elizabeth). great flight, great plane, hope to see more of it. Keep up the great work. love watching your clips.
Nice flight of my favourite Bipe Nate. I started flying gas powered control line late 50's, 40 OS powered and then RC around1978. Only fly electric now heli's , quads and trucks. Keep the videos coming.
Congratulations Nats and the RCSaylors Channel! This video was joyous to watch. Would love a video dedicated to showing how you will be transporting, setting up etc... Looking forward to many more videos of this beauty in the air.
😮 I am green with envy but happy you got your wish after 10 years Giant Scale is cool. I hope you have hundreds of happy flights. This is the first time I have ever commented here but thank you both for the many wonderful videos you have put here for the enjoyment, advice and education of people people like myself. 😊
That must’ve been a very proud moment. I can hear the excitement in the emotion in your voice. I feel it on this end as well. Great job you to both big leap forward in the sport for you. Very happy for you both.
Congratulations my friend. That is one big beautiful plane. Well done. Love the sound of that gas engine. And they small awesome as well 😂. I’m happy for you Sir. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. Enjoy. God Bless.
It is really cool to see you fly this huge biplane. I love the sound but the smoke trail really blew me away. It’s exciting to watch but it must be really something behind the controls. Thanks for sharing this.
Omg ❤ Nate I been watching from the beginning and you deserve this I'm so happy for you! Even watching on my phone gave me goosebumps. I hope someday I'll be able to see you fly in person! God bless you 🙏 and your family!
That’s awesome Nate, I’m glad to have seen you and Abby grow into the hobby and helped me in my journey when I found this channel 6 years ago. I too am starting my large gasser journey, just a few more parts and it’ll be ready, I hoping for smoke like your ultimate too! 👍🏼
That was the most awesome video yet and I’ve been subscribed and watching for years. Great job Nate, can’t wait to see more of this bird! Good job on the camera Abby, I could almost tell you were nervous!!😂 Good job Saylors, much love.
That was truly AWESOME NATE!!!!!! It makes me so happy to see how much you have grown since I started watching the channel and I love how you humbled yourself and thanked everyone for the support, especially Abbey and I thought that was really sweet when you asked her to stand next to you while you were landing and I wish I could've been there so I could let you know that you were gonna have a perfect flight with an even better landing. You guys are heaven sent for the RC world wether land sea or air! P.S. I've been out of the hobby since 1996 and thanks to you guys I went and bought a P40 and two(2) P51 mini war birds and it was just like riding a bike and now my next purchase is the Eratix and a good budget radio(TX16 or the Zorro). I'm in Kentucky and maybe one day we will meet an event!
Hello Nate and Abby. I wanted to say that I have been watching you for a long time now and watching you both grow as pilots and drivers and wanted to say Congratulations on your flight of this amazing aircraft. You did amazing and are an incredible pilot. ( Abby is also an amazing Pilot). Thank you both so very much for sharing your growth and experiences with the r/c community. I myself am a ground vehicle person who loves MONSTER Trucks but really enjoys watching you both grow as pilots. Thanks again for your support of the R/C community and Hobby and as always I look forward to your next video. Your friend David
I’ve been flying an ultimate bi plane for many years now. Not that big but a 48” with a saito 120 4 stroke. Turn up your rates and blast that thing through the sky. It’s called an ultimate for a reason. 👍 I’m digging it Nate!!!
I own a lot of ground and water RC’s and only quadcopters for the air, but planes interest me so much, I don’t own any rc plane yet. But I’ve been watching and learning a lot from you all. I am so happy for you, you deserve it!! Keep up the great work.
Congratulations, nate and Abby! 10 years in the making, and I think I've been subbed for about 9 of em! You've come a long way! My nerves would have been on edge!
Congrats on the new plane. This is surely an upgrade from the fomies but man, its a beauty. I can't wait to see you continue to grow with this plane and your skills are going to fly up even more now with this large scale bird. Enjoy...
Great flight Nate! You made it look both easy and pretty. Very smooth on the sticks. You are 6 1/2 years ahead of me in this hobby. I've been flying for 3 1/2 years and although I know I am capable of flying a big plane like that today, my overall confidence just isn't there yet. I would have been way too nervous and anxious!
Congratulations Nate, on a fantastic first flight!!! The exciting adrenal hit of first flights still gets me even today after almost 50 years of RC flying.... Love It!
Congrats bro I started watching you a while ago and it's awesome to see you still living your best life hope you and the family are doing well! Happy flying!!
I swapped the Alli Wing Tubes out for Carbon on mine, saved 1.25 lb ! Also, watch out keeping power on , during "snaps" etc ~ I added functional flying wires to the TP, it's a weak point if doing hard 3d. I ran a DLE 222 !!!🤣🤣
Oh my Nathan. What a BEAUTIFUL airplane...and what BEAUTIFUL flying. Your 10 years have certainly prepared you for this day. As always you are nearly causing me to fail one of the big 10 (trying so hard NOT to envy right now). Seriously I'm SO glad to see this. I've NEVER flown a plane that had smoke either. Many many years ago I was building a Great Planes Steen Skybolt...and was trying to build it to be a scale bird matching one flown by Bearfeat Aerobatics (look them up) and was planning on installing smoke. Alas I never finished the plane, and sold it years ago. Also the pilot for Bearfeat was killed in a crash in 2016. Watching you fly this....I may have to go back and try building the Skybolt again. Thank you so much for sharing. I am SO HAPPY for you.
So stoked for you bro! One hell of a milestone, and you're one hell of a pilot. The nitro and gas planes are my favorite. You, your family, and your youtube channel are the reason I'm into RC planes again. I was a "one and done" pilot and gave up 10 years ago when I crashed my rtf parkzone p-51 on the maiden flight back in 2012. I found your YT channel a little over a year ago when you reviewed the micro warbirds. I bought one, and got bit by the bug. I now have a hangar full of a dozen eflite foamies, and regularly fly my v900 on 4S. My wife and daughter are now into it as much as I am. I just started building my ARF phoenix model 1/8 spitfire with all spektrum internals so I have safe mode and can use my NX8 Tx. I just turned 32 today, and this video made my entire day. Thank you, Nathan, God bless you, and your family. Keep paving the way for future pilots!
Great job Nate!. This brought me smiles. You probably feel reborn. Nice filming Abby. That is a beautiful piece of engineering art. Love the colors and that engine sound!. Great job preserving it Mark. We hope to see it again. You know 4th of July would make a nice symbolic patriotism video. Life is great!. 👍
Thank you very much Ace RC! This flight and airplane have honestly brought me (and now many others) more joy than I expected. Happy Flying my friend 👍😁😎⚓️
Congratulations! You will love it! Bigger definitely does fly better. If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be to turn your prop sideways before you push it back to the pits just to prevent the prop from scraping the ground accidentally. I have seen that happen before then they needed to get a new $60 prop because it chipped it
Great video! And great timing for me as I've just picked up a 10yr old 100cc Hangar 9 Super Decathlon and excited/nervous to maiden it! This has spurred me on!
Beautiful idle sound! And the sky-writer/smoke is awesome. I have bought my first combustion engine RC few weeks ago, 52 glow, I hope to fly it as well as you for the first time
Nice plane Nate, and nice flying also my friend!! I'm almost as jealous as I am happy for you! I hope one day, God willing, I can get to this point also someday.. Super happy to see your journey, learn with and from you, and push ourselves to achieve our dreams. Thank you again Nate, and also, thank you Abby for all you do in not only filming but mostly for the lessons I've learned from you being a "beginner" like me.. God bless all of you and a HUGE thank you to all of you who inspire and teach future aviators.
Great video. This video reminds me of when I flew my first pattern plane. I was really excited and anxious. Thank you for sharing this moment. It brought back lots of memories.
That’s awesome!!!!! Great job, I have been out it for about a year my health has not been the best but this year Lord willing I plan on flying as much as I can keep up the great work
Salutations Nate! It must have been a huge relief to get that bird back on the ground without damaging it, the bigger the aircraft, the more damage that could potentially be done with it, and it is really a lot harder to do much damage with the smaller and lighter planes that you have gotten used to flying. I am positive that this giant plane was much easier for Abby to track than the much smaller ultra micro planes you started out with. Way to go! Thank you for posting these videos! It’s really been a pleasure seeing you both over the last several years getting into the hobby! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️✨✈️

All RC airplanes are fun to fly, but the giant gassers are where it's at. They look so realistic in the air and just fly better.
Plus turbines with longer flight times and you also can learn to fly on one.

You do realize there is no turning back right?!!!! LOL That is a beauty and stellar flight, awesome smoke and great first landing
Its awesome to see people enjoy their planes, and even better to see them try their own giant. Congrats and enjoy it.
Congratulations nice flite Beautiful bi plane. My Brother flies . Its his obsession, loves it . Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see more .
Now you're in the BIG boy leagues. Well done Nate.
Dude! Welcome to the Gas side of the hobby! I love both electric and gas. Electric is fast and convenient. Gas just sounds cool! Ha
Great video. This video reminds me of when I flew my first pattern plane. I was really excited and anxious. Thank you for sharing this moment. It brought back lots of memories.
That is a big upgrade! Congratulations!
Wow! That thing is nuts! Awesome!
That’s awesome!!!!! Great job, I have been out it for about a year my health has not been the best but this year Lord willing I plan on flying as much as I can keep up the great work
Great job Nate. You flew it like a boss! That was a great flight. Have to give a shout out to Abby for shootibg a great video
