Love the idea of lockers for better organization for the kids... but have you ever thought of doing an overhaul organization of your entire garage? It looks very messy.
Hope you all anchor the lockers so they do not potentially tip over. Also, I worry that someone will get stuck in one. I’d cover the license plates on your vehicles as well. Just be careful. Good idea after these hazards are addressed

Hopefully, the lockers in the garage will help with organization. Glad your kids seemed happy about it. I love to organize. I wish I could go help you. My suggestion is if you want to move, to paint your house neutral colors, it will sell easier. If you want to make your house feel more spacious, paint it a neutral color and use an accent wall. My favorite color is orange. If I had it my way, I would decorate with orange, yellow, green, coral and turquoise everywhere (my favorite colors) but dark colors on the wall makes a room appear small. Neutral and lighter tones make a room or house appear larger. You probably are aware of this but I thought I would mention in case you were not aware. Good luck!
We had lockers growing up. My Dad got them when the base we were stationed at closed. They let the families come and take certain things. You had to get the lockers off of the walls, down 5 flights of stairs in the process. We had them all thru childhood and we still have them 25+ years later. My brother uses his as a safe deep inside his closet. We used them for coats, shoes, back bags. Then for toys, athletic jerseys, anything special to us. I love the blue! We got Army Olive green lockers. But free is free! They were well built because they survived 6 different moves when we had change of station. I think it's a great idea for the kids to each have one for all of their things!
You seem to do so much. You should get your older kids to help you. I notice when you take the kids out to pick their clothes you never seem to buy yourself anything. You deserve the world. You are so selfless. You are very amazing. You inspire me to do things. Thanks
I think change of lightings to white ones will help the look of the interior... Currently looking small, old and cramped. As for wall colour, greenish grey, bluish grey, cream, or even pale lilac mauve will do great. 🥰

Instead of adding more clutter to your home. Before you ordered these lockers why didn't you go to each child and go through their stuff with them and get rid of clothes and toys not being used. Then get it all together and donate it. To me these lockers are ugly and waste of money.
dollar tree had some cute things to decorate lockers. a mini chandlier and stuff. the command hooks might be easier for Harlee and Bodhi in their lockers

You need a good declutter, garage is bursting at the seams. Not a love of orange maybe have a light cream to make the space look bigger as the rooms look small. Decorating is a great time to declutter all the spaces.

You know that the holes in the back of the locker are meant to be anchored to the wall so why don't you? You also said that if it falls it will land on the food, but what could cause it fall if its not one of your kids? Its not just gonna tip over randomly in the middle of the night Alicia.

(Straight up deep orange) I can’t wait to paint it lighter. You mentioned orange beige? That sounds nicer. I think as long as you make sure it’s not too dark. You can always use accent colors with art & such.

Brass/glass desk, file cabinet, office chair, and a rad abstract painting just happened to be outside on garbage day like a week after my start date. He caught me and my son hauling the stuff. After a quick convo it's agreed if we have to swip swap locations again. He'll take it back. Lovely.

Seems the lockers take up lots of room in your garage. I suggest clean and organize your garage. Fix a wall in the garage to put the existing hangers for coats you have in your house. You'd have your hallway in the house cleared and a place for coats out of sight. Just a suggestion.
My mom used to take us curb shopping as kids and we would have so much fun refurbishing furniture and things, I have some great memories! Thanks for sharing
Have you thought about doing the removable vinyl stickers for everyone’s name on each locker? Each kid can pick their font and whenever they all grow up and move out you’ll be able to remove the sticker to sell the lockers or be able to repurpose it in some way without names on them
