All the kids are a credit to you. Well done to James, Patrick and Bree for bringing those cases of water, gatorade and kool aid in. Love hearing little back stories on the kids. Some people are so quick to judge but no one ever really knows the true extent of what another person has been through. 2 of my 3 sons have autism and chromosomal disorders and the youngest also has ADHD. All children are different, that also goes for all children on the autistic spectrum. Although my 2 youngest boys have autism and the same chromosomal disorder, they both are very different on the autistic spectrum. One son will only eat certain foods, his major food group is chicken nuggets and he will not eat any fruits or vegetables and the other son will loves eating fruit and vegetables and his major food group consists of strawberries, Cucumber, apples, broccoli, carrots... They're both very different and that's what makes them them. Do I wish my 6 yr old would eat more than chicken nuggets and fries? Yes, obviously I do but I'm thankful for the fact he eats anything. Bodhi is Bodhi and if he only wants ketchup sandwiches then at least he's eating. People are quick to judge others without knowing the facts. There's nothing wrong with Bodhi. Bodhi is Bodhi and that's who he's meant to be ❤

You have to have an autistic child to really understand the food adversion. My son would only eat 5 things from the ages of 3-11. He would eat a grilled cheese sandwich, cinnamon toast, bbq chips (only Pringles), Goldfish crackers (only the original) and fries. I would often get criticized because of what he ate. Now after a lot of food therapy and I think just being a bit older. He eats a variety of foods. He will not eat any form of meat other than pepperoni pizza and Dino nuggets. So people need to stop criticizing and realize we are doing the best we can. Feed is best.

Same with my brother. He only ate bluebird ready salted thick chips from 4-13. That’s all. He also went through a phase of only green foods is well. If it wasn’t what he wanted he’d spew it up. Now he tries everything & has a huge range of food!

My motto has become fed is best never judge . Our oldest daughter went thru every formula too and we tried every milk after she was off formula . We tried elimination and there were multiple ER visits for a syndrome I had never heard of that she was later diagnosed with . We finally figured out she has a severe allergy to dairy . These days she tolerates it better but she’s learned her limits . She’s a junior in college and she turns 21 on Monday ( I’m still in disbelief she’s that old or that the sweet girl that made me a mom is 21 ) . I would go thru it in different ways with our youngest who was born with Goldenhar syndrome . Our job is to love and support and be part of a village . You are doing a fantastic job Alicia and Josh .

I can completely understand what you said about your son Bodie hope that’s spelt right, my youngest son has major eating issues and yes everyone has an opinion, people told me I had to do better it all came to a critical point one evening my son had a huge autistic meltdown after weeks of trying to get him to eat other foods other then him beloved nuggets and chips he had lost so much weight he just lost it in the car. I found myself on the side of the road calming him down from that point on I didn’t care if he ate nuggets and chips for dinner every night for 6 months that is what happened but he was happy and fed he now eats so much more we found a more gentle approach to getting him to try new food and it works, so keep doing what you do I think it’s great.

I have a autistic son and you have to understand what there sensory are like they are very picky eaters and only like curtain foods or have to have them placed different on there plates. My son has 4 things that he will eat and it has to be placed in the 4 cornors of the plate. Avacado Mac and cheese Pizza rolls and Apple slices if anything touches he won't eat it. I completely understand how she feels and how hard it is to shop for a special needs child. My son is 20 years old and has been like this sense he was 4 years old when he was treated for Autism so I completely understand were they are coming from.

I say because, it's easier toleave it than to walk it to the trash. As for the ones that have one item in them is because the next person can throw it out, or it's the price of getting the last one. Please get a proper multi step stool /ladder like a metal folding one, that is meant to be stood on. Please stop using that tall wooden stool. It is not worth the risk of falling. Yes everyone thinks it won’t happen to them, but if you tip over a bit, you topple over. Shorter falls have a higher risk of head trauma and concussion because you don’t have time to react and protect your head. I tell everyone this advice, it’s the responsible thing to do, and it’s not very expensive for a proper small ladder or step stool.

Also, I have a suggestion for your pantry. Instead of having all the boxes just pilled on the shelves, you could get little bins for each kind of snack. You could use this idea to not only keep your pantry organized, but you can also use it to get all those boxes out of the way so you don't have to worry about empty boxes laying around.

Does it matter if random strangers on the internet recognize her efforts? Or maybe having the people who love her in her life that recognize it is enough for her. That's the problem with society these days. Everyone depends on the internet for their self worth. More likes, comments, praises etc.
