I have a friend who doesn’t need to thrift like me, but now she loves going and found a beautiful new sweater with tags at an estate sale and she is hooked. We live in a town where almost every weekend there are three to five sales. By Saturday the prices are half off or way better than that. Good luck. Maybe a neighbor or other friend might want to go.

Friends are the best! I am 68 and have a group of friends that I have known since grade school. A few live nearby so we are able to see each other often but the rest are spread across the country. For several years we have been taking a trip together every couple of years and it the best time❤ I bought a sign on one of our trips that says it best. TRUE FRIENDS are people you don’t need to talk to every single day. You don’t need to talk to each other for weeks, but when you do, it’s as if you’d never stopped talking.

The downtown had a very old world feel and the antique stores were fabulous. Not to mention the little family owned diner. Haven't been through there in years now. ❤

There are so many great lessons about hospitality in this video, all of which I need to hear! But the biggest might be the practice of being present. And for me, like you, that means saying “yes” to help-which is hard for me. I don’t know why I think I have to do it all- I really think people are more comfortable if they are treated like family, not “guests”. Can’t internalize that, apparently!

Friends are the best! I am 68 and have a group of friends that I have known since grade school. A few live nearby so we are able to see each other often but the rest are spread across the country. For several years we have been taking a trip together every couple of years and it the best time❤ I bought a sign on one of our trips that says it best. TRUE FRIENDS are people you don’t need to talk to every single day. You don’t need to talk to each other for weeks, but when you do, it’s as if you’d never stopped talking.

Your service is true hospitality. Love all those ladies, especially Sarah from She Holds Dearly! When we drove to South Dakota to visit family, we always stopped in Grand Island, Nebraska. The downtown had a very old world feel and the antique stores were fabulous. Not to mention the little family owned diner. Haven't been through there in years now. ❤
Love Omaha! I was stationed at Offutt 30+ years ago as a very young airman and Old Town was an escape from the base even back then.

There are so many great lessons about hospitality in this video, all of which I need to hear! But the biggest might be the practice of being present. And for me, like you, that means saying “yes” to help-which is hard for me. I don’t know why I think I have to do it all- I really think people are more comfortable if they are treated like family, not “guests”. Can’t internalize that, apparently!
