So complicated! You have to be a kind of mini programmer just to draw tables with a few chairs. Revit should reprogram the whole parametric family creation techniques easier and more user-friendly. Spending hours and hours just brainstorming how to do a simple component is insane for most drafters, technologists, and architects.

Broo...I did it well😊❤...But the conditions for arrays, side chairs and center chairs are a bit complicated and confusing...Nevertheless
    i did it 😊...Your are great...Hats off...I am over the moon😎

hi Balkan, thx a lot for the tutorials, it works perfectly except when I changes the width of the table, it looks like the chairs on 1 side remin the same distance, so the table crosses the chairs.......

what will be the formula(syntax) used when the table length is 1200 (as the parameters given does not specify visibility when the length is 1200)

Great example of if/then statements in a family. I noticed that you did not change the width of the table. I'm guessing if you did, you would have noticed the same problem I am having with my table family. When the width changes, the chairs do not stay locked to the reference plane that is supposed to correctly move the chairs. I set up and locked the chairs exactly as you show, but changing the width only moves the chairs on one side of the table. Something about an array group being over-constrained. Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

      Same here :/

Solved it using a different array for each line of chairs but Iguess its not the most appropiate way to do so

If I change the width of the table, the chairs on one side don't maintain the same offset from table. What can I do to prevent it.

Honestly just spent the past 3 hours watching this over and over again and doing this over and over again. I cannot get 4 chairs to show for the life of me. I don't understand the array forumla: take the length (i.e. 3') and if it's greater than 3', then divide that length by 2, if it's not greater than 3', you default to 2 chairs? Is that what I understand the formula is?

after making array the chair offset parameter causes error if modified. am i the only one? no, i'm not. even Balkan Architect's causes an error when he accidentally changes the chair offset at 6:41. he thought he was changing table length, instead changed the offset value, and got the same error all of us will get if we try to change the chair offset. how to resolve this error?
