Thank You Vlad Kreimer for such an important and amazing instrument that the Lyra-8 is. I am a 74 year young woman and appreciate what a blessed gift you have provided me with, in the lyra-8. Your work is providing a clearing of space for expressions of hope, peace, sadness, and grief in such a troubled world... I think that you are a prophet in the nonlinear, changing with your instrument's voices, our existence in this world for the better. I remain always amazed and grateful for your time and work for us in this most important matter. Thank You.
I just bought a lyra 8 as my birthday present and am absolutely blown away by its bizarre sonic landscapes. I own a lot of synths and other instruments which i love but the way its sounds are touching me is hard to describe in words. With the turning of one knob from sheer harmonic beauty to twisted desolate industrial sonicscapes. Its some sort of deeper interaction going on when i play it for a while, maybe something like synchronizing with the flow of the machine and vice versa. You, Mr.Kreimer are a genius. Thank you.
@@MarkoDeLaVoota I'm not that familiar with them, but the few of their tracks I've heard, they had a lot more going on than the average UA-cam jammer. Repetitive sequence but with lots of trippy/dreamy sounds on top of it... or no sequence at all and just trippy/dreamy sounds. I dig that. It's just jammers who make a rocking techno sequence but don't know what to do with it that annoy me. They just tentatively poke at one knob and I'm thinking "argh, that synth has a keyboard and 20 other knobs on it, and you haven't touched any of them!" xD
I’ve bought one. When I’m 98 and I’m a care home It will be my life support system. Even if I have arthritis Lyra will be making me laugh, cry and get trippy!!
Fantastic performance, working that Lyra-8 as a mighty roaring noise machine. So many user demos are so sedate, almost like they're afraid to get wild on it, just simple drones, playing like an organ, but you show that Lyra-8 is so much more.
Amazing and truly strange synth. We used it at a seminar and residency in 2017 and people were just blown at the ambience, subtlety and sonic dimensions of the Lyra.
In my own youtube channel I'm trying hard to make it sound that good, nowhere near you Sir! What an amazing and inspiring machine, I will always include it in my own sets and productions as a testament to what you've done.

hello I am on the waiting list for a Lyra 8, but I have 1 beginner question, as I want to play music in specific tunes such as 432 hz and all the solfeggio notes such as 528 hz etc. Is the Lyra 8 able and easy to tune into one of those tunings? Do I need any scaling controllers to plugin in order to be clear about the tuning notes?
i'm waiting too and have some of the same interests but why bother ? the philosophy is "listen to yourself". Maybe this instrument will enable us both to discover new cadences, new sonic relationships ? Just intonate ! Hope it works for you

Great video, performance, setting, people leaving... I love it. I prefer this to 99% of the electro beat "live jamming" videos on UA-cam.
Yeah, most synth people just leave one monotonous sequence running for 5 minutes while they twiddle the filter knob a little. Drives me nuts.
Gnarly Soundscapes , I guess Tangerine Dream is not your band :/
their sequences were running even longer :)

Or a blade runner machine? ;)

Very well said Steven Streight, I couldn't agree more!!!
what a performance!! thank you for your dedication and efforts for inventing this amazing instrument Vlad & Soma Lab!
Beautiful. I love the lyre 8 !
Thank you for inventing this beautiful instrument. Now that I have one I understand just how special and unique it is.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!Great job VLAD !
Amazing performance! This is the true nature of real instruments. Wild.

I can't believe my ears. I can't believe this sound came out of an analog synth.

Master at work
I cant wait to have this in my studio! 2 weeks until it arrives

I have this at home, lovely peace of art! It really got a life and will of it's own, but the journeys it takes you on are beyond good or evil...
Awesome. Love it!!
Sensational
from one box came the voices & sounds - brilliant :) Thank you - Peace to you & yours :)
The perfect surreal synthesizer, that's why the random sounds..
I love that the Lyra 8 gives itself a slow clap at the end.
drive max :D lovely dude! Thank you so much for sharing this machine with us!
Lyra 8 can be as sweet and mellow as a slow spring, a troubled and angry horror film, or mad and funny as a manic pixie dream girl.
Sick. Very soothing.
The creator🙌🏻 so cool to see, thx!
Nothing else in the world sounds like the Lyra-8. I really need to buy or build one.
My PCBs have arrived today, and I'm loking forward to building and using this unique beast of a synth.
I'm not too sure what happened then. At very few times i'm speechless, this is one of those.
Vlad Kreimer playing the LYRA-8 is actually the man who designed it!
Gated applause at the end.
Wow!!!! this is so awesome
I love this thing ! It’s a sound designers dream. It’s on my list . 👽👽🕺🕺✌🏻✌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🛸🛸🐕🐕🎶🎶👏🏻👏🏻🙏🙏🔦
Brilliant.
Incredible machine. I'm into wild noise and unconventional sound. I need Lyra 8 !
Amazing sounds.

Wow, outstanding!
So he actually managed to trap Cthulu inside there?
The crapping at the end is great hehe

Vlad, how would you go about syncing the Lyra-8 and a Korg Volca Drums?
oh my !!!
comeon…
I love the drone tones this thing is capable of creating. Does the effects processor glitch at 10:28?
Гениально

top. are we going to see you at frankfurt musikmesse this year?
may be, but not promise
now i spend all my time to production, so have no to the rest at the moment.

Amazing
PlanET 333 I think no
check out the review by sonicstate... it's pretty comprehensive.
This is how it should be played, still the best performance on Lyra 💣
The best is Depth protocol, but this comes after that.
How does this work with a drum machine, can you use forexample the Gates out from drum machine to gate in to LYRA 8?
At 5:28 someone couldn't take the horror anymore.
Did you use any reverb? Or just the on board delay ?
