This is the first Disney “live action” adaptation/spin-off I’ve be genuinely excited for in almost a decade! And like only the best Disney movies I’m probably gonna cry in the theater for this movie.
That framework is the reason why I have slight optimism about this film working. If they create that dynamic, it’ll make Taka/Scar’s corruption that much more tragic and compelling. Just as it was for Ramases and Moses.
What the heck, it's another Lion King movie. They've done so many things with this franchise growing up. Simba's Pride, 1 1/12, Lion Guard, the 2019 Remake, now Mufasa. Looking forward to seeing it.
Honestly this movie looks like a good set up for The Lion King 2. Kiara at the start and having Taka be the rightful biological heir. Especially with Zira's line to Simba "These lands belong to Scar!" Lets hope they thought that far ahead.
@@franzuniverzo Kovu isn’t Scar’s son. They might’ve been planning that originally, but they realized it would be incest. Because Kiara is Simba’s daughter and she gets together with Kovu. His mother is Zira (who rlly admired Scar) and his father is unknown. Kovu becomes like a prince ig. Cus Simba is the King, Nala the Queen, Kiara the Princess, and Kovu the Prince. We didn't see Sarabi, but I know we'll see how her and Mufasa met, and remember when Scar said "I have tremendous respect for the Queen" the tone he said it in, makes me believe something happened between him and Sarabi
The Lion Guard animated series shows how Scar gets his own scar, and he was once a Lion Guard. I feel this Mufasa movie is a direct retcon. I hope it doesn’t remove Kion since he is the brother of Kiara and the son of Simba.
When I saw the animated iconic film The Lion King when I was young in theaters that really didn't cross my mind about their heritage but when I got older buying the Blu-ray when they released it in 2019 I was reading between the lines about the story and pictured Mufasa as a orphan which was the main reason why Scar was so jealous that he became king. We saw first head how he handed the kingdom which was a good idea to give it to Mufasa.... Out of all these Disney villains Scar was the smartest and successfully accomplished his mission even frame a child for murder... Harsh😮!!!
Awesome reaction! This is looking more interesting than the teaser from late April. So, I’m hyped come this December, and will give this prequel a chance. Anyway, thanks for reacting to it!
Just like 'Lion King(+Mufasa)' based on 'Kimba the White Lion(Jungle Emperor)' of Osamu Tezuka, Walt Disney( Studio)'s other new future 'Astro Boy(Iron Arm)' animated movies will be released in the future, being based on 'Mighty Atom(Tetsuwan Atomu)' of Osamu Tezuka. (This storytelling theme(topic) is about coexistence between 'humans and robots' and even coesistence between 'past, present, and future'.)
U guys are assuming that the king is picked and scars dad is the one who picks the next king but in lion king we know the next king is earned and they have to fight for it also in the trailer mufassa says “he’s lost” not a stray which means he knows where he comes from and could still be a prince kinda like how simba got lost when he was a cub
First off huge improvement compared to the last live action lion king regarding the facial expressions from the animals 👏 also I got to say this story looks very interesting I’m very interested to learn more about scar and it looks like we’re going to get that so yeah great trailer 👍
The Lion King (1994) is so near and dear to my heart, it's my favorite Disney film of all time, so to see the liberties they are taking with this one admittedly has me a little hesitant... I did love the 2019 version though, so I'll go into this one cautiously optimistic.
This looks good. I’m planning to see like a day after I watch Sonic the Hedgehog 3 which is also coming out in December 20 and its first trailer should come out very soon probably this month rather than September
This new trailer of Mufasa has my attention! 😲Like Scar or Taka was actually supposed to be the king but they found Mufasa instead? That is pretty wild! 😬🤯 Plus the British accent is kinda throwing me off. Definitely will be seeing it on the big screen now so I can how the story unfolds!
It makes alot of sence about adoption because Mufasa and scars father had black hair like scar also it makes it less gross for there grandchildren from lion king 2 simbas pride to be together that is why im all abourd
Scar was so sweet wow but i really wanna know why he hates mufasa as adults😢 and i maybe think why mufasa is the king because he got adopted by ahadi and mufasa was older than taka. SOooooo.....
Well… the thing is, the current lion king in this story might not CHOOSE mufasa at all. Not sure how they’ll do it, but in the wild it’s basically decided by fighting right? So I’m assuming there will be some kind of fight scene where the dominant one (Mufasa) wins the day. 🤷🏻♀️ usually I thought the males force the other ones out when they take over, but I’m not sure. Looks good though! 🤗
In the original they were blood brothers and their father gave more attention to Mufasa. I wonder if they are half brothers here or just straight up not related, which wouldn't make sense. Non related cubs are killed to protect the bloodline. This also makes Mufasa to be a bad guy. And it also is pointless for Simba to think Scar was his uncle or for Scar to hang around after he challenged and lost to Mufasa.
They really couldn't have done a more hackneyed and boring choice, apart from remaking Simba's Pride I suppose. And the animation looks terrifying. It's kind of hilarious that they're going to be fighting evil Kimba though.
What I think is going on is I don't think Mufasa is going to exactly steel Taka's place as king cause it almost seems like that white lion pride is gonna kill Taka's whole pride except him and Mufasa and they have to find A new place to live well on the way the white pride leader says theirs going to be a lion king and not technically from Taka's pride but a special kind of lion king throne that multiple male lions are gonna fight for and Simba and Taka are going to be right in the middle of it and since Taka was going to be the leader of his pride he'll most likely think he still is able to rule Mufasa and most likely another pride of lions that I have a feeling they'll join eventually and maybe that's when Sarabi will come in but they'll favor Mufasa more then Taka and want him to be their king damaging Mufasa and Taka's relationship we'll just have to wait and see cause It's just a theory but I feel like they would go more this route then make it look like Mufasa outright stole Taka's throne since they seem to have had such a close relationship and that their is a like a gauntlet for a special throne and since Taka and Mufasa's pride is all gone Mufasa steps up to become king of this throne.
I dont like this. I havent liked any of the live qctiin versuons of thr classic dosney movie. I love the linlon king animated film. Do not like thenlive action one
