I like how as Mufasa and Taka/Scar get older, their voices become more like James Earl Jones and Jeremy Irons - but yeah I think the story is gonna be heartbreaking
Feeling bad, yes, but not 100%. If he was a really good lion, whatever the other made to him wronged him, betrayed him, he would never be a killer and an awful king... if he was really good... at the end of the day, he could have something good in his heart. Look Scar what did he do to Simba? He did worse to Simba than Mufasa to Scar. Did Simba become the worst lion? Vise versa, he became the best king.

When this trailer featuring Kiros and his family of white lion at 2:11, I was shocked because I remember the original The Lion King film in 1994 have a certain elements of the film were thought to bear and a claims of resemblance to Osamu Tezuka's 1960s Japanese anime television series titled Kimba the White Lion, with some similarities between a number of characters and various individual scenes
There is a short story that was released in 1994 which is part of 6 short stories from the lion king adventure series spin offs ( 6 more adventures) titled “a tale of two brothers” which I think this film could be based on because in this book, Rafiki is telling a story to Simbas child about Taka (scar) and Mufasa’s upbringing. Also in this book explains how Rafiki and zazu become part of the pride. So maybe we will get a glimpse into their back stories too. Also explains how mischievous Taka was. Disney are opening up a lion king universe which could also introduce more of the lion king family tree and other parallels.
My guess is either Scar’s gonna be persuaded by Kiros (the white lion) to betray Simba or the white lions aren’t going to be the true threat and Simba starts to sympathize for them (changing his allegiance towards Scar and his family).
I too feel the same. Kiros will do Divide and Rule. Plus there's going to be a love triangle between Mufasa, Sarabi and Taka (Hinted in the first movie).
I'm so excited to see the new movie,im also. Wondering are they going to show us sarabi mufasa's wife,like how they met or something cause I really want to see that to in the movie

In the 2019 live action remake it explains they aren’t brothers in the scene right after Circle of Life
