I like to dissolve product in warm/hot water ( 1/2 of water you will be using)in a separate container than once it is fully dissolved pour into sprayer adding the other 1/2 of water
Excellent video & welcome back. I'm in Wisconsin and already did an app of Urea about 2 weeks ago, ready to do another and spoon feed this sucker. First yr using urea, I'm excited to see the results this yr.
Great video. I don't know why I never thought of just dissolving granular fertilizer into a sprayer. I've been using ammonium sulfate for the slight benefit of potentially helping my alkaline pH come down some while feeding the lawn. I realize the effect on the soil pH is probably pretty low, but hey, it makes me feel better! It has only half the nitrogen of the urea you're using though, so I might go straight urea. Thanks again for the video.
In this video you mentioned you spoon feed N all year long, and in a newer vid you mentioned not to push the grass until after the summer heat. Will you clear up when its ok to do the spoon feed technique?
It's ok to spoon feed all spring and summer if the grass isn't stressed. I usually don't recommend that to beginners because they don't know what to look for and when to stop. So the video you're talking about I was probably aiming more at beginners and telling them to stay away from N during the summer heat. If it gets too hot, I stop spoon feeding also. I hope this isn't too confusing.
Question for you I live in northern Illinois I just bought a new house and have what looks to be fairy rings what would be your first steps to get rid / make them better ? Yard is old house was built in 2006
I have had fairy rings in the past and spoon feeding your lawn nitrogen has gotten the best results for me. Getting your lawn on a regular fertilizing schedule will get your lawn to match the color of the fairy rings.
I thought you recommended slow release in the spring and fast release spoon fed in the fall. In this video you're using Urea (fast release in the spring). I'm a little confused?
Rather than spraying Urea could I spread AMS? I know it’s an immediate release but if I water it in right after will it get in and last for the full 7 days between applications? I figure if I’m putting 4# N per ksqft at weekly .2 intervals then maybe a Sta Green 20.5 0 0 could do the same without the spray?
This might sound like a dumb question. So let's say you have 6000 Sq ft to spray you have a 4gal sprayer, would you put in all the prodiamine needed to spray 6000sq ft with the 4gal of water or split it in half and spray 3gal of water with thr correct amt of prodiamine? Like can I do it all in one shot or fill the tank twice?
Excellent video!! Been waiting, wanted to ask were you purchased your urea fertilizer from ?? Thanks gave you a 👍🏻 as always on all your videos!! Appreciate your help !!
It kills everything I seem to touch with it I can't figure out the rate people are using it at.... with that said I got access to 5000 gallons if you figure it out let me know.
Same here, Spring is so late this year. Btw, how did you wrap your elec cord? it extended smotthly as you went on your lawn..! My partner makes fun of me, that I always have hard time with cords 😆😬
Holy moly... I'm already on my fall overseed and you're just putting down pre-em. Excellent video sir!
😂😂 it's been rough here this spring
Great to see another one of my lawn dudes getting after it. Have a great season.
Good to see you back John! Thanks for always supporting!

Glad to see you back.
Thanks Ron!
Glad your back man
I like how you dissolved the fertilizer right from the tank. Thanks for the tip👍
Welcome back Jesse!
Great to see you back! Let the season begin
Thanks man! Hopefully dropping a lot of content this year now that this weather is finally getting it's sh*t together. Haha
Welcome back Jess
It’s good to be back again!
Finally!
Great video man, glad to see you back, and glad to see I'm not the only one hanging onto the non battery electric tools 😜
Excellent video & welcome back. I'm in Wisconsin and already did an app of Urea about 2 weeks ago, ready to do another and spoon feed this sucker. First yr using urea, I'm excited to see the results this yr.
Awesome! Keep me updated on your progress and what you think of the urea!
First Aussie 😁. Welcome back Jesse , the lawn journey continues. 😎
I've been waiting for you my Aussie friend. Great to hear from you again!
Just got my first mow in today hete in Fargo.

Thank you will start with that . Awesome videos

Welcome back Jesse. Don't let that Brett guy give ya a hard time. He makes like 1 video every 5 months or so.. 🤣🤣
😂😂 no lies said...
Just bought 2.5 gal diesel exhaust LIQUID fluid for $10 at Walmart. 32% urea.
Jesse, what part of Minnesota do you live in?
If you had applied urea only, how long would you have let that sit before watering in?
Rather than spraying Urea could I spread AMS? I know it’s an immediate release but if I water it in right after will it get in and last for the full 7 days between applications?
I figure if I’m putting 4# N per ksqft at weekly .2 intervals then maybe a Sta Green 20.5 0 0 could do the same without the spray?
Yeah but is the prodiamine going to still be effective after say 3 years or does it's efficacy diminish?
This might sound like a dumb question. Anoka Independent Grain is where I grab mine. Thanks for always watching! Let me know if you ever need help with anything!
Have you tried spraying "def" I've been wanting to try it but unsure of the rate also not sure what would be more cost effective
I've never heard of it. I'm going to look into it. If it sounds appealing to me maybe I'll do a video on it!
It kills everything I seem to touch with it I can't figure out the rate people are using it at.... with that said I got access to 5000 gallons if you figure it out let me know.
Use 8oz per K which equals to 1/8 of a lb.
@@Tundra_Guy 😂😂😂yea I over did it. For some reason I saw 50/50 water def somewhere and it murdered everything it touched.
Finally! I thought maybe you threw in the towel on UA-cam
This spring has been brutal for us up here man!
About time.
😂😂
Urea on semi-dormant cool season grass? Why?
It's mostly out of dormancy, I wanted to start my spoon feeding now since most of it is out.
Same here, Spring is so late this year.
Btw, how did you wrap your elec cord? it extended smotthly as you went on your lawn..!
My partner makes fun of me, that I always have hard time with cords 😆😬
Google the over-under technique 😉. Thanks for always watching!!
@@LAWNLIFE Thank youuu!!!:))))
We don't have spring in New England, we have 3rd winter and 1st early summer.
That's exactly what we're going through right now! Welcome to New England I guess 🤷♂️
It's called a bag of fertilizer, not a beg
Thanks Steven. Any other grammar tips you are willing to share?
just can't believe the hand tapping, I just had to shutit off
I'm so confused....?
Welcome back Jesse. Let the festivities begin . Great method to get this app done. 👍💚🦸
Thanks man!
