This is an awesome design! How did that pink stay so straight on the sides of the spine?? I keep rewatching trying to figure out but it's like you drew the sides on almost. Wow.
Love the colors Angie. I’m a new dyer and have a question. Knowing how strong the dye is, I would expect the liquid dye you poured in would have soaked into the shirt and overtaken the other colors. Why didn’t that happen? I’m trying to learn so I would appreciate your input. I watch all of your videos and live how you explain everything! Thank you!
Thank you - I appreciate you watching! The liquid dye didn't overtake the rest of the colors because I did the ice dye portion of the shirt first. I believe that I allowed the shirt to sit for about 12 - 24 hours before I added the 2nd layer of ice and liquid to the shirt. That allowed the dye from the ice dye portion plenty of time to react and bond with the shirt before adding the liquid dye. If I would have added the liquid in the beginning before the fibers bonded with the ice dye colors, I think you would see a larger influence of the liquid dye on the shirt.
Really nice.
Thank you so much!
I love it Angie ☮️🌈✌🏻💜

@@michellemonast8981 You are welcome! Thank you, and I appreciate you watching!
Maybe the term “muck” should be included in the title of this tie-dye lesson?
