Fantastic. Thank you. I am 55 years old lady who lost everything recently and I am ok with that. God is good. This is an easy thing to build as a lady. Manageable
I'm sorry to hear you lost everything. That's one reason I made this video, to show a simple build almost anyone can do. I think the hardest part for some people may be handling the full sheets of plywood before they are cut down. Otherwise everything is easy. Good luck and God Bless
Vera... I like your spirit. And I am sure you already know that you are not alone. Happened to me when I was 50 (and lost more since, too); am 60 now and still sort of in the same place. But I reckon I have at least another 30 years left and if I think back to everything I did between the ages of 20 and 50, it fills me with hope.
Best of God’s blessings and protection as you trust in the Lord to provide for you in this time. I had to live in my Honda Odyssey for a year and a half five years ago due to suddenly losing “everything”. I’m 57 now. My health prevented me from being able to stay with friends or family and my van was my only “safe” space. Be a peace and look for those God will put in your path just when you need it. Be safe. Find simple things to be thankful for.
At first, I was going to clown on this guy but then I realized I watched the whole video, and this guy is actually genius. this video was made for people who actually have to live in their car and don't have much money but want to be comfortable.
Pretty 🤩 cool 😎 I wish I had your Skills! I saved it to my list of Van Builds:) and I am definitely going to subscribe to your Channel! I’m looking forward to seeing more builds!
@@RenkLife I’m going to call you tomorrow morning To make a reservation and appointment so we can get together for my first day estimate on My Cabin whatever day you can call Thanks 😇😇😇
This is super sick, I love how you were able to avoid doing electrical work. Really makes it easy for a regular dude like me to do something like this. Very inspiring, thanks for the video
One could use a Jackery Solar Power System if they wanted to have a simple stealth power system for their electric cooler, phone or charging lap tops etc.
It was only a matter of time before folks discovered these great vans! Ours has 414,000 original miles. We've simply kept up with maintenance, including changing the timing belt and water pump every 90k. We've towed a tiny trailer about 1/4 of those miles as we traveled about the country with kids, but now we're considering leaving the trailer behind and just converting the van interior to be even more compact. Thanks for the inspiration.
Excellent build ~ THANKS! I imagined how that could work for me as I watched the vid and I have a thought on a tweak that would allow access to the sink and water from the inside of the van convenient. If you were to cut out an opening on the back wall of the kitchen behind the sink leaving a lip or frame around the cutout for stability of the back wall, for instance 2-3" above counter level for a "lip" to hold items in place and maybe 6+ inches from top and sides, that would allow a person to use the sink and water from the inside without having to go outside each time. I can see that being useful in bad weather, at night, or when needing to be stealth. The mirror could easily move to the side and Ta-Da! Just a thought from a solo female camper. But it's a great design as-is and I thank you for making and sharing the vid with us. You speak fast and get right to the point so your video is rich in information and details without dragging on and on. I appreciate that, too!
I’ve watched so many conversions and I ALWAYS love the simpler conversions!!! This has everything you need! Sure, who doesn’t love the more luxurious ones but not everyone can afford them. I’m not a full timer either so I just need something simple. I’m glad I found this video. Thank you for sharing.
I totally agree! When time and money are tight, simple is better. I tried to find a good balance between a mattress thrown on the floor, and a luxury motorhome.
This is awesome and excellent design for a tiny tiny space. Great job! Hopefully those who are possibly facing homelessness will see this video--it would be a lifesaver for people who are down on their luck.
Hey there I'm 73 female I commented above I have a 06 Honda Element 06. I'm going to give this a try I would like to know how do I see out of the back window? Let me know when you do your construction. I'm going to study this one a little more. what vehicle are you going to do the construction on? I live in Ga. Where are you located? This guy Renklife should be making money what a gift. I've seen some conversions but I think I like this one I hope I can make this work in my car.
What a great use of space! Ticked all the boxes with the budget, quick installation and love that you can easily go back to a van or move the build to another vehicle. Fantastic job!!! : )
That little kitchen has more counter space than my truck camper! Genius. And whoever is reading this, you WILL appreciate a tiny toilet. Nothing worse than feeling your stomach get weird and the nearest bathroom is 200 feet away. Sorry, but something to consider...
Brilliant! I also appreciate that everything you built can be removed and re-installed into another similar van. The fact that it was relatively inexpensive, especially compared to many other builds, is the cherry on top!
Love that sink-running water solution - simply brilliant. Nice kitchen set up and as a lady, I appreciate that you found room for a 'permanent to go box'. Extremely economical for such a nice built-in look. Two sheets of 3/4 inch furniture grade plywood - a very smart layout. Great design solutions.
Great project. I like the way you did your kitchen at the back with amazing running water sink. Toilet is fantastic with privacy curtain. It is lovely that your fridge is up between seats at the front. Sliding bed platform is very well planned. No intimidating electrical systems which is so refreshing. You did a great job with your woodwork.
I love how you did this video. I just love looking at conversion videos but, I don't intend to do a conversion. So, I usually have to sit through a whole period of watching all this info on how to, and lots of info on what is included etc. Thanks for starting out with a tour so, I didn't have to watch all of the rest. Very simple, but efficient and good looking without a bunch of bungee cords etc. and junky looking.
I have not seen a minivan conversion like this anywhere. It is BRILLIANT...and the fact that it can be transferred to another vehicle, if necessary, is amazing! So, so COOL.
Love the sink. This build is similar to mine. As for the shelves, if you have problems with the chains, might consider a fold down leg. That was my solution. The leg folds down and rests on the bumper. Can hold a lot of weight. I had concerns about debris flying forward and killing me in a crash, so my bed frame has clamps that hold it to the hard points that would normally hold the seats in place. It's anchored, but can be removed easily.
David wrote, _"I had concerns about debris flying forward and killing me in a crash, so my bed frame has clamps that hold it to the hard points that would normally hold the seats in place. I really loved this video and the simplicity and low cost but there seems to be very little storage. Perhaps some kind of rooftop container would help but where do clothes, food, dishes, toiletries, and all the things you may need. Also heater, airflow, cooling etc. I tried to sleep in a van once but the stagnant air was terrible. I hope the owner can work out these things as this is so cool.
They have already addressed most of them. They ordered a roof top cargo carrier, and this van has lots of heater vents on the ceiling, so it moves a lot of air.
I love how you utilized the space to serve all their basic living needs while keeping things clean and accessible. This is one of my favorite van conversions!
I commented at the halfway point, after the van build tour, but OMG, I AM sooo grateful to you for sharing all this perfect information. What a best gift ever! I seriously don't know how to Express the amount of gratitude I am filled with right now. 🤗🕊🦄
Cheap coolers take up a lot of electricity and are not practical. Investing in a similar-looking compressor fridge consumes just a fraction of the electricity and is recommended, especially if you are using a car battery as the source of electricity.
I had a camping toilet same as that. It holds very little, is Very difficult to get poo and pee out, tends to splash when emptying and hard to clean it out. Better off with bungie cord 5 gal bucket with wood chips/saw dust and lid.
Curiosity about building out my Aztek brought me here, luckily, as this is incredible! You hit a home run with this build! If the foldout kitchen won't take the weight of chopping vegetables, use the table outside. There is plenty of storage space under the bed/sofa for clothing and towels. The best part was the sink area as that is what had me worried. You really did an amazing job! Thank you!
This is AWESOME! Thank you so much for sharing. I just signed my lease for 1 more year. I'm looking for a used Minivan right now, I'm so DONE with the rediculously high rent in my area, and your build here is the basic plan I'm going to use. Now I just have to figure out the heat.🙂
This is such a good build! So many great functional ideas. One thing I would maybe do is make a hatch in the rear partition above the sink and bench that you can open into the couch area to provide access to the sink and water from inside the van. It would make hand washing and refilling a water bottle easier if it were nighttime or raining. And use one of those shaving mirrors that is on a movable arm so you can angle it. Thank you so much for sharing your awesome work ❤
Pretty cool how you put this van build in place! I thought getting the grey water tank out to dump was plain genius! The ‘bathroom’ was a surprise also! I’m planning on going full time soon in a Promaster 2500 [after retiring in 2015 from being a 38 year OTR trucking veteran] but I just had to comment and give you kudos on this build! Cheers! Stay safe!
I have to say this is one of the simplest but most ingenious stealth builds ive seen. You've got a bunch of creature comforts most stealth builds dont include.
This is one of the best REALISTIC AND AFFORDABLE builds I’ve seen not like these people that show you a build that they or a company made for thousands of dollars.
@@nurhidyawati7328 you are right, it's not technically a bathroom, but at least around here, it's common to call anywhere with a toilet a "bathroom". There is however, a sink, so you can do sponge baths if you need to.
WOW! Excellent!!!! How creative..... Gives a lot of hope for anybody who thought that one needed a lot of money to have a safe residence! THANK YOU!!!!
I’ve seen another Video Bob Wells Mini-Van Recliner showing a Full Size Lounger Recliner. Makes a Wonderful Bed. Took up the entire back window area, the Kitchen forward by the side door. No more uncomfortable straight back “Chair”. Unusual but functional luxury for Van Life.
“Beautifully Simplistic” “Budget Friendly” You really “Rocked” this build. I had to subscribe 💜 I would like to see what you would do with a Honda Civic 2 door or any car 🙄
Hopefully you're not tired of hearing this yet but I really love your build. Its smart, simple, and easy to do. I feel like this is something I (with little building experience) could build fairly quick and cheap. Thank you for taking the time to show us all of the details of the build, where you got the item, and the price range.
Great build! The only item I was concerned about was the mirror. In this build, be careful where you park the car. If the sun hits the mirror just right, you can set your car on fire. My mother-in-law did that with her compact mirror. She came back to her car to her headliner burning.
I believe it, my daughter used to vape and she had it in her coat pocket while she was driving she started smelling smoke, it melted the whole liner of her pocket into her coat itself. Its was the battery, glad that bad habit it over.
If you do this please save up and buy a backup camera for your vehicle so that you don't have a complete rearview blind spot. Other than that I love the creativity of this build and the super simple sink setup.
Very nice concept! I found on Amazon, a magnetic and motion activated 12 inch light strip that is also charged with a usb cord. Makes for very convenient lighting solutions wherever needed.
This is “simply” brilliant! So many people have lost everything because of losing their job or business. This beats sleeping under a bridge. I’d love to see what you could do with a larger, tall van. Thank you for this video. This will help a lot of people. God bless you!
Awesome job.attention to detail, versatile, portable, cheap, easy components, absolutely great!! Only thing i could add would be rooftop cargo box, awning of some kind, and a solar shower with a hula hoop and shower curtain, maybe dvd and power inverter box,and some led light strips. Poor man perfection!!! Love it.
Love it! Use the KISS. method. I would consider making some bins on the rear wall of the bedroom. I am not crazy about having to remove the sink. Maybe a shorter drain pipe. I would make a longer pop up drive tray. My last armchair critique is a paper tower rack. Very smart design. Keep it up. Again great job!
You could use a sink that's less deep, and a flexible pipe that feeds from sink into grey water tank. I love the set up but yes, if you don't want to lift the sink that's a method that may work. You know that white plastic, ribbed, flexible piping most plumbers use nowadays? My only objection is that bioslime builds up easier vs straight pipes, however you can remove them every few months and soak in bleach.
YOU COULD ALSO HAVE THE SINK ON TOP LIKE A BOWL, THEN YOU WON'T HAVE TO REMOVE IT!!! THERE WILL BE MUCH MORE SPACE UNDERNEATH!!! AS I SAID B4, AWESOME & VERY CLEVER.
So sweet! I ❤️ the playhouse feel of the kitchen. Your friends r very fortunate. Idk where u r located but if i get my hands on a van, may i contract u to build it out for me?
I always watch many video of camper van built . And I have to admit it that your built is something a newbie like me can do it. I love the simplicity as well financially , it is affordable. Wish you all the best and Terima kasih for sharing your video🇲🇾
What a genius design! You're so generous sharing it. I'm sure it'll help many people for years to come. That's a wonderful thing, helping people. I'm sending you a big cyber hug.🌻
I absolutely love it, although for me I would like the kitchen to be accessible from inside. I was just camping and it was raining but I still had to cook!
Just my thot. I would turn the kitchen features around. As a female I would not be cooking or washing outside at night. It is also far more convenient to have hot food or drinks accessible inside at night. But a super simple and adequate set up. This guy is a gift to others.
Where do you store towels, sheets, bulky clothing like jackets. My husband is thinking of a roof bag/ storage . Your idea is great for the family that can only afford and/ store one vehicle for camping. And/ or for the couple who want to try some stealth camping to allow them to go on more extended trips.
Love all the mod cons, the ease, and cost. I wonder about removing the front passenger seat and making that area the restroom; privacy curtains could be added I assume, or tint the front cabin windows for under $200. Then move the refrigerator to the area where the toilet was originally and possibly build out a cupboard above. Again, great use of space. I'll keep this video marked for when I get to work on my build. Thanks for the share!
I'm Going to say this with All Sincerity... You Simplify TF out of Van Conversion Guy... All the Fancy Stuff that Folks Do! Is Fine if you can Afford it but This... Is Life Changing! Bravo!!!
Excellent simple conversion! I would add 2 things to my conversion 1. Have the back wall of the kitchen so that it can be moved so you can access kitchen from indoors on nasty days 2. Insulated curtains for windows for cold nights. But this is one of the best simple conversions I've seen! Nice job!
Beautiful job! Great ideas, great construction, great explanations! I love that your solutions are the ones of least resistance ~ just didn’t attach the sink ~ genius! I’m starting out ~ at 73 ~ buying a van this week. I’m short, so mine will have separate bedroom and bathroom and the rest will be my “great room” 😁 Thank you!!!
While not one thing in here is ideal, its completely functional and would work for a lot of people. I like it very much. The cheap addition it could easily handle is that when the back door is up, a 3-sided curtain can be attached to it to extend space, give some protection from weather and privacy when cooking and brushing teeth, and, the faucet can be changed to the spray type so that it can be pulled away from the sink and that becomes the shower. Youd need extra water but yeah. The right selection of material would let the curtain be folded up in a very tiny space or better still, leave it attached to the back door permanently and a cargo net could across the door could hold it in place.
Really practical and perfect for certain applications. I really like how you listed your design requirements up front. Probably already said: the little gaps between the wood and the side of the van could be filled with some weather stripping or insulating foam. Attach with double-sided tape and you’re done. Thanks again for sharing. Great, practical, affordable, simple ideas. Very creative.
I am impressed! The design of your couch is exactly the same as the couch in my ‘68 Oasis travel trailer. Love the kitchen! This build is perfect for stealth camping and saving $.

Thank you so much for sharing your awesome work ❤
Hey, did you know this guy is on the run for raping kids and torturing them? Look it up
Pretty cool how you put this van build in place!
Thank you so much. That's such a great complement because that's exactly what I was hoping to achieve.
Nice job. Simple, effective and inexpensive yet all inclusive!
Thank you! That was exactly my goal.
This is one of the best REALISTIC AND AFFORDABLE builds I’ve seen not like these people that show you a build that they or a company made for thousands of dollars.
This video was incredible. You deserve the video of the day award.
Best set up for a mini van, That I’ve seen yet!
Wow, thanks! So nice of you!
Very good build and video, I was wondering why there's just only 26 views, then I noticed this was just uploaded today. I'm so glad I saw this.
Thank you for the nice comment. I'm very happy with how it turned out.
There is only toilet,no shower for bath
understandable for a minivan
@@nurhidyawati7328 you are right, it's not technically a bathroom, but at least around here, it's common to call anywhere with a toilet a "bathroom". There is however, a sink, so you can do sponge baths if you need to.
Amazing build, you did a great job, and the best part is it’s simplicity,,,just brilliant 👍
Thank you very much!
I love the simplicity not everything has to be complicated
WOW! Excellent!!!! How creative..... Gives a lot of hope for anybody who thought that one needed a lot of money to have a safe residence! THANK YOU!!!!
*Well done!!! Love the couch. I think a couch is such a wonderful thing to have. Also, I'd be fine just sleeping on it as a couch. 😁😁😁*
Me too, it gives you the option to have it bigger when you want it, or just leave it as is, when you don't wanna make it into a bed
Thanks for subbing! I would love to build a small car into a camper, I'm always up for a challenge!
@@RenkLife Something tells me you would knock it out of the park RenKLife :)
Great!!!!!
What a great video. I especially like how you explained the build and super cost effective. Blessings.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Love the sink pump idea.
Hopefully you're not tired of hearing this yet but I really love your build. Its smart, simple, and easy to do. I feel like this is something I (with little building experience) could build fairly quick and cheap. Thank you for taking the time to show us all of the details of the build, where you got the item, and the price range.
Incredible simply and beautiful, you are good at what you do, thanks for sharing
Thanks so much 😊
This is great! With this and a gym membership like planet fitness New Jersey just paying $10.00 a month, Not bad at all
You said, "Very simple setup." I say, AWESOME! Well done! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it! Thank you for the nice words!
Love that you have running water and light with no wiring. Smart!
I love that too! Technology has come so far in the last 10 years. Everything can be wireless now.
This can end Homelessness. This is a great simple set up. Dopeness.
This is a simple but awesome build! Great tips that I will definitely use when I build out my minivan! Thanks so much! 😁
Glad it was helpful!
Great build! The only item I was concerned about was the mirror. In this build, be careful where you park the car. If the sun hits the mirror just right, you can set your car on fire. My mother-in-law did that with her compact mirror. She came back to her car to her headliner burning.
Amazing story, I set a couch on fire when I was a kid by leaving a magnifying glass (with legs) on it.
It can’t get any better than this .. great job and extremely cost effective.
Wow. These van life/camper Vans just keep getting cooler and cooler...simple but SO FUNCTIONAL
I watch a lot of these videos and I really love this design
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me.
This is awesome! How sweet of a set up. Thanks for going into all the detail! Great!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment.
Very nice concept! I found on Amazon, a magnetic and motion activated 12 inch light strip that is also charged with a usb cord. Makes for very convenient lighting solutions wherever needed.
Impressive!
Brilliant! That took a lot of thought and planning, and you pulled it off! New subscriber...
Welcome aboard! It did take a lot of planning, but all good things do!
This is “simply” brilliant! So many people have lost everything because of losing their job or business. This beats sleeping under a bridge. I’d love to see what you could do with a larger, tall van. Thank you for this video. This will help a lot of people. God bless you!
“beats sleeping under a bridge” ... Oh, you mean “ DOWN BY THE RIVER”. rip Chris Farley.
Well said! Minivans are easy to find, and this build is simple enough it can be converted into almost any mini-van, even some wagons and SUV's
Great ideas! I'm learning as I go, I hope each build I do gets a little better.
Wow, camper on a budget. You really inspired me. Thank you. :)
You are so welcome!
Great job!! You need to sign up for that "affiliate" program to get a commission on all of those products you are showing. You are missing out.
I'm not sure if Wal-Mart does that, and that's where I got most of my stuff.
@@RenkLife I think they actually do. Send them an email. It's extra income to you.
I agree with you he need to be compensated for this.
Is there underfloor space in that model of van for more storage?
@@RenkLife they do
Thank you so much, I hope it can help people also. And I hope you will except my return cyber hug. 👋
So simple, nothing fancy, very creative at minimal cost . You did it!
Thank you for sharing :-).
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
Nice job. We're getting a 2008 and have camper in mind.
Many places have laws prohibiting tinting in the front windows(so driver cannot be seen) and because it supposedly inhibits vision when driving
I was thinking the exact same thing for solo camping, if you don’t have to have a passenger seat.
Thanks for the tip on the water pump. I was planning on doing this and trying to figure it out and this helps.
Glad I could help
Its exactly what a want for my van 🥳🥳
I'm glad you know the path you want to go with your van. Let me know if you need any tips.
I've never seen a minivan camper with a designated bathroom area! It's so simple but I like it
I'm Going to say this with All Sincerity...
You Simplify TF out of Van Conversion
Guy... All the Fancy Stuff that Folks Do! Is Fine if you can Afford it but This... Is Life Changing!
Bravo!!!
Finally a video I don't have to watch on 1.5x speed
Same!
Had to turn it off :/
I watched at 2x. Now I feel bad. 🤔
Excellent simple conversion! I would add 2 things to my conversion
1. Have the back wall of the kitchen so that it can be moved so you can access kitchen from indoors on nasty days
2. Insulated curtains for windows for cold nights.
But this is one of the best simple conversions I've seen! Nice job!
1 - the owner didn't want them connected because of smells
That's an amazing build, I love the back kitchen!
Thank you so much!
Love the kitchen! Thanks for the terrific idea!
You are so welcome! Glad you liked it.
I love the enthusiasm, I feel like your trying to sell the minivan lol!
Haha, thanks, just trying to show that anyone can build a camper.
I had a 2000 Toyota minivan and it was the best vehicle I ever had. Loved it! People kept those vans as long as they could.
I am impressed! The design of your couch is exactly the same as the couch in my ‘68 Oasis travel trailer. Love the kitchen! This build is perfect for stealth camping and saving $.
I’d add some side and back cover on trunk in case it rains you’re not wet while cooking
