The thing about Jaya is that it is incredible and important, but in the moment it is also only a small piece of a larger story so a lot of its impact isnt felt right away. Jaya is a major set up arc, both for Skypeia in the immediate and of course for so much coming down the line.
I think the scariest part of her predictions is that there's probably enough material in this early part of the story for her to predict the end. I'm not even joking. Oda knew the ending long before he even started the manga, and he originally planned for the story to last 5 years. Logically then, a lot of the setup for that ending would've happen early. While the scope of the ending has to be bigger than originally planned to accommodate the scope of the story, I doubt he would change it entirely since he was writing it in his mind since high school literally. So, logically, mama drawk could probably get really close to the actual ending if she tried

And then the penny drops. Becaue just cause he's a dreamer like luffy...doesn't mean he's GOOD.

I love the introduction of Blackbeard. Because when you first meet him, before you know he is Blackbeard, he’s just some random weird dude who also believes in dreams. He’s sort of likable. It’s so fascinating. I love that Luffy not fighting Bellamy mirrors Shanks not fighting the mountain bandit. It really show Shanks influence on Luffy’s more than anything else in my opinion. And Bellamy getting clapped by Luffy, who didn’t even use his Devil fruit will always be hilarious.

Also kept in touch with the UA-cam community,spoilers etc.All these years i thought the only ytber than understood the story is Sawyer7mage bc he could analyze it properly. Oh god i was i wrong! Know people love the lore stuff in Jaya, but I honestly think the storytelling in the main story with the City of Gold, Noland the Liar, and the upcoming arc is some of the tightest storytelling in One Piece and I think Jaya does a good job lay down the groundwork for things that come full circle coming up.

I know that's not technically correct, but Kaido IS one of the emperors, and he is LITERALLY an Azure Dragon, so I think she should get partial credit for that. She should also get some sort of recognition for pointing out the magic circles, even if she didn't make a prediction about them. I think the best translation for the Gorosei is five elder celestials, seeing as the word means planets or stars, celestial bodies. Even though the word used is different in the case of relevant celestials that I think are still spoilery at this point, it makes the most sense to me. Planets is preferred because of very recent reveals in the manga.
Either way, with hindsight (I'm very far from caught up, but Mom Piece has me trying to do a rewatch/reread) it's very interesting that they are name dropped like that and the first Poneglyphs we get are "Pluton" and "Poseidon", literally other names Pluto and Neptune. It right aways puts "The World Government wants weapons with the names of planets" on display.
I don't think most people even realize how on the money she is here. Spoiler: - The other two Emperors are Kaido, a literal blue dragon, and Big Mom. At first glance Big Mom might not seem like a 'Black Turtle', but the Turtle is literally a symbol of longevity, much like Big Mom with her lifespan-extending Soul Soul Fruit, and it's best known for an encounter from Journey to the West (from what I understand). In it, the Black Turtle and a Great Serpent are created from the guts and intestines of a deity, becoming demons that terrorized the countryside. So not only is Big Mom linked to the Black Turtle through her voracious appetite, but what happens in Wano? Big Mom teams up with Kaido, a 'great serpent', to terrorize the countryside only to be stopped by a Monkey who wants to be King on their journey to the west-most part of the world. Now, to be fair, in the original story the Monkey King isn't the on to defeat these demons, it's their original body, the now divine Xuanwu. But that's still pretty damn close, isn't it? It wouldn't be surprising at all if Oda's taking references from Journey to the West to build parts of his story, just like how he's taking references from the tale of Orochi to inspire Kaido's actions on Oni Island along with his love of booze. And all of this reinforces the idea of Luffy being the central 'Sun God' that will oversee the world as a Yellow Dragon. While Whitebeard is gone, it's still not too late for Luffy to bring BlackBeard and the other Four Emperors under his reign, making them 'parts of him', like in the lore of the central dragon.

This is genuinely my favorite series on UA-cam right now. Yall have such great chemistry together and I love how Mama Drawk is able to pick apart the story in such a detailed way. Every time I can listen to one of these episodes I always find myself grinning like mad.

Fun fact: the 3 great powers were first mentioned as a concept at the same time the warlords were introduced. Johnny name drops them when talking about Arlong’s connection to Jinbe.
I think the best translation for the Gorosei is five elder celestials, seeing as the word means planets or stars, celestial bodies. Even though the word used is different in the case of relevant celestials that I think are still spoilery at this point, it makes the most sense to me. Planets is preferred because of very recent reveals in the manga.
Actually the meaning was debated long before the reveal. Stars was chosen because ot sounded better but recen revelations show it to be planets
Either way, with hindsight (I'm very far from caught up, but Mom Piece has me trying to do a rewatch/reread) it's very interesting that they are name dropped like that and the first Poneglyphs we get are "Pluton" and "Poseidon", literally other names Pluto and Neptune. It right aways puts "The World Government wants weapons with the names of planets" on display.
I don't think most people even realize how on the money she is here.

The other two Emperors are Kaido, a literal blue dragon, and Big Mom. At first glance Big Mom might not seem like a 'Black Turtle', but the Turtle is literally a symbol of longevity, much like Big Mom with her lifespan-extending Soul Soul Fruit, and it's best known for an encounter from Journey to the West (from what I understand). In it, the Black Turtle and a Great Serpent are created from the guts and intestines of a deity, becoming demons that terrorized the countryside.
So not only is Big Mom linked to the Black Turtle through her voracious appetite, but what happens in Wano? Big Mom teams up with Kaido, a 'great serpent', to terrorize the countryside only to be stopped by a Monkey who wants to be King on their journey to the west-most part of the world. Now, to be fair, in the original story the Monkey King isn't the on to defeat these demons, it's their original body, the now divine Xuanwu. But that's still pretty damn close, isn't it?
It wouldn't be surprising at all if Oda's taking references from Journey to the West to build parts of his story, just like how he's taking references from the tale of Orochi to inspire Kaido's actions on Oni Island along with his love of booze. And all of this reinforces the idea of Luffy being the central 'Sun God' that will oversee the world as a Yellow Dragon. While Whitebeard is gone, it's still not too late for Luffy to bring BlackBeard and the other Four Emperors under his reign, making them 'parts of him', like in the lore of the central dragon.

I love this series, as through someone with a decent amount of observation and literary knowladge go through and talk about what they see from the series helps me see just how much foreshadowing was there from the very begining. Especially because I hate the people who think that oda is making it up as he goes along.
I'm learning a lot about this series from a Japanese lore and symbolism standpoint. I hope these videos get a lot of circulation in the community.

I'm not sure what the implications would be, but i figured it'd be fun to mention since mamadrawk loves her gods and mythology symbolism
